Hotel Gallia Palace in Rimini

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Despite being advertised as a 4-star property and charging full tariff, my basic requirements were not met.

I requested an iron, which was never provided, and my repeated attempts to get an answer from staff were ignored. The most frustrating part was the attitude: instead of offering a solution or even an explanation, the response felt dismissive and unprofessional, as if customer concerns were something to laugh about rather than address.

Paying full price and receiving this level of service is unacceptable. A 4-star hotel should at the very least respond respectfully and solve basic guest requests. Unfortunately, this was not the case here.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects professionalism, responsiveness, or value for money.

Extremely poor experience in terms of safety and professionalism.
While I was away from the room, my personal belongings were tampered with and items were stolen, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on the door. This alone reflects a serious lack of internal controls and respect for guest privacy.

What made the situation worse was the unprofessional and dismissive response from the front desk when the incident was reported. No proper action was taken, and there was no genuine concern shown for guest rights or for investigating the matter.

Frankly, this hotel fails to meet even the most basic safety standards, and the staff demonstrate little to no understanding of their responsibility to protect guests’ property.
I would not recommend staying here, especially for anyone who values security and privacy.

Much better places to stay if you know poor pool area surrounded by high rise, can't recommend

Tiny old-fashioned room with little window and no outlook. The shower floods the bathroom. Busy street and no parking at the hotel (it seems to be used by staff). Staff are not helpful, even with a recommendation for a good restaurant for dinner. This area of Rimini is what I would call ‘Redneck Riviera,’ and would never return.

I wonder how they get so many good reviews. The only positive is the breakfast. Tiny dark rooms, even by European standards. The shower floods the bathroom. The a/c does not work and drips on the floor; and when we alerted staff they said "oh, that's normal." There is no parking, despite their claim there is. The pool area is not pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel at all. We did have an enjoyable dinner at The Black Cat.

I booked this hotel as a special present for my mom and sister, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. They arrived late at night, around 3 AM, in a town they didn’t know, and when they called the hotel for help, the staff refused to assist them in any way. They were scared and felt completely unsafe, but the nighttime receptionist had the audacity to say, "It's not my problem," and then hung up on them! This level of incompetence and disrespect is beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, when they finally managed to reach the hotel, they were given the wrong room. I had specifically booked a twin room, but they were given a double room with an extra bed they didn’t ask for, and then the hotel tried to charge them extra for it! When they tried to resolve this with the so-called management, they were told that the manager was conveniently "on vacation" during the peak August season—how likely is that? There was absolutely no one to complain to or ask questions, leaving them completely stranded. To top it all off, the hotel refused to provide any refund for this disaster of an experience. They didn’t care about the mistake they made or the distress they caused my family. All they were interested in was squeezing more money out of us. This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
