Hotel Cristallo in Brescia

It is advertised as a modern room. We got a 2 star room maximum with a 20 year old flat tv. Everything looked old. Walls were filthy. The staff were average. They spoke a little English at least. In the bathroom they gave is one paper cup. We are dissatisfied, and dissapointed. Avoid if possible.

They hosted my husband for one night during a business trip. Old furniture, unpleasant smell, small insects roaming around the room. Breakfast acceptable, but otherwise terrible experience. Unfortunately the choice of hotel was made by the company, for a business trip. We hope to never have to go back again.

The person who checked us in did not even give us any information as to what we needed to know about our stay in the hotel. The hotel had no microwave for customers, no iron and ironing board in the rooms. I had to request for an iron for about 3 days before they gave me one. Their customer service was so poor that they made no attempt to understand the needs of their customers. They don’t have staff who speak any English so it’s difficult to communicate with them. They also only told us about paying city tax of 1.50 Euros per night per guest on the day we were checking out which I was not very happy with because I should have been told about this on the day of the check in. The bathroom is small and you can’t even turn around in the shower as your body will be hitting the wall and the taps as you try to bend or turn. The hotel is not good at all, well not to a 3 star standard.
The breakfast is basic and food in the area is quite expensive. I will never go to this hotel again as I think it is a one star and not a 3 star. 3 star hotels are much better than this. The receptionists are too rude. I wouldn’t even go to this hotel if you paid me.
Choose Marriott which is not too far from this hotel if you can afford to add a little extra, the difference is great.
