Astoria in Torri del Benaco

After a long drive from Camogli, arriving at Hotel Astoria was like coming home! Sara & her family welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough! The location is just a few steps from beautiful Lago Di Garda. Our room was spacious, very clean with a comfortable bed, nice quality linen, soft pillows. Aircon. TV. The bathroom was also very clean with hairdryer, bidet & the shower had plenty of hot water. The view of the lake & majestic mountain range from our window, priceless! The buffet style breakfast was delicious & plentiful one of the best we’ve had in Italy, with a vast selection of fresh food too numerous to mention. Hotel also serves dinner & serviced bar. Parking is underground & secure if required. Bus stop is nearby. Just a short walk along the lakeside promenade to the town centre you will find good restaurants, nice boutiques & the Torri del Garda car & passenger ferry. The town is pleasant to stroll through with impressive Scaligero Castle & the Chiesa della Santissima Trinita is a tranquil place to visit. We will be back.
