We decided to walk here from the rail station- big mistake unless you like urban jungles. Catania has a smallish historic centric swarming with tourists and this is just on the edge. If you arrive from the Duomo side you will feel happier as there are nice restaurants just round the corner We stayed one night - enough really to savour the city’s delights. Can’t fault the B and B. Clean spacious and comfortable. Host very helpful. A great stay

Not wow. Not bad, but the reviews are inflated. The shower is very uncomfortable, and it's very uninviting.

Rooms are very clean and well equipped! The historic details were lovely! Host was exceptionally helpful! He recommended a couple of delicious restaurants. These restaurants weren’t tourist trap. They were full of mostly people who speak Italian. That’s the kind of place I like to go when I’m traveling. I always keep my translator handy. Each restaurant did have one person who could speak fluent English.

Palazzo Perrotta was a wonderful place to stay! The staff and amenities were great. It is in a safe location and within walking distance of several attractions and dining options. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Palazzo Perrotta is beautiful and very well maintained. Marco, the host. is a wonderful person and was very helpful when I had requests for arranging transportation to other areas of Sicily.
However, there were a couple of inconsistencies with the description posted on *******. The elevator is strictly for getting luggage up to the main level of the B&B, not for passengers, so be prepared to climb steps. There is no "bar" or restaurant at Palazzo Perrotta - it is a B&B so only breakfast is served. This wasn't a big deal as you can pretty much eat on every corner in Catania.

Great location within walking distance of many top attractions. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed juice. The owner is very kind and allows you to stay in the dining area after check-out. However, the mattress is sagging and lacks adequate back support, and the electronic clothes hanger in the washroom has noticeable dust on the back. Additionally, only soap and shampoo are provided, so you’ll need to bring any other toiletries yourself.

We had the most wonderful stay at Palazzo Perrotta. Marco and the team are super lovely, and always happy to assist. The b&b is four rooms and a common living/dining room where breakfast is served. We stayed in a family room number 4. It was spacious, with very tall ceiling, comfy beds and power shower. We had a lie in every morning and missed breakfasts (served 8-10am) but there was milk, tea/coffee facilities, yoghurt, cereal and fresh pastry waiting for us in the dining room - it worked brilliantly for us. On a new year’s night it was a tad noisy so just for this occasion perhaps pack a pair of earplugs. All in all fabulous stay in the heart of beautiful Catania, and we will be recommending this place to all our friends.
