The room was decent, clean, and tidy. It's close to the sea with a private access path, though it's not a sandy beach

The swimming pool is open normally, and the hotel has obviously been renovated and is not in a very old state. Everything is good, and you don't need to walk to the 534 bus to the city center, but the time is very random

Right on the water with views of the sea from both rooms. Very relaxed, nicely appointed, open and modern yet natural feeling. Loved the art exhibit on every floor

The service was up to par. The toilet was substandard, the floor was slippery, and the room facilities were old. The yogurt at breakfast was in a bucket, not a cup! Omelettes were available for an additional fee.

Staying here as a transit point to Syracuse and Taormina, the hotel is conveniently located near various attractions and shopping streets, though a bit far from the train station

The room was very big and it was the only 4-star hotel I stayed in Italy that provided disposable slippers, and they were of very good quality. I stayed in 16 4-star hotels in Italy in one month

The hotel does not have free parking, and you need to pay to park in a nearby commercial parking lot. The description of the Ctrip booking that there is a parking lot is misleading.

This is a review for the rooftop bar/restaurant. We have not stayed at the hotel. We saw a sign for the rooftop bar on the street and got curios. The hotel reception staff were very helpful and showed us the way up

Despite calls at 6:30 and 7 PM, and an in-person request at 8 PM, nothing was done. At 10:30 PM, I brought someone to the room—they tried adjusting it both in-room and from the lobby, with no success

The beautiful beach a few meters from the bungalow. Nearby there are restaurants, bars and a Lidl reachable in a few minutes by car. Bus stop for Catania center right at the entrance of the structure

We were in a terrible situation where our booked accomodation got cancelled due to some issues and this property's host welcomed us even late at night. Cheap price and very near to beach

The door of the room is unique and big enough. The service is nice. It is close to the airport and train station. It is the best choice for a one-day trip to Catania via Taormina. The breakfast is also very good.

Not a bad hotel, with its own sandy beach across the road. Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, towels for free. The hotel is located next to the Catania airport, which is not a problem and is rather a plus

Although there is a bus stop directly outside there were few buses and no indication of a timetable so you cant rely on a bus and taxi's very expensive

Old establishment in the city center, the air conditioner was not working well. Breakfast is good. Staff friendly. From this place, you acess easily access the bus station to Etna excursions.

A beautiful hotel set on the cliff just outside Catania - rooms are big, have AC, well serviced, great pool (30m plus x 20), great pool bar, amazing buffet breakfast, access to sea. Lovely for a family holiday.

Grand Hotel Baia Verde is a nice resort hotel.  Unfortunately we came in the off season so some amenities like the pool and access to the sea were not available

We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying two. We found the room to be quiet and comfortable. The view is spectacular and while we didn’t use the pool it was available and we sunned ourselves near it

It's a pity that I can only stay in this city for one night. Although it is not a sea view room, you can still see a piece of sea, which is more charming when combined with the garden view

The hotel is very large, and the restaurant has a 180-degree view of the sea

We arrived at the hotel where we were greeted by the reception staff who were very polite and pleasant and they checked us in quickly and with clear directions to our room and instructions on where to get breakfast and the roof top restaurant

The food was amazing and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. The room was clean and comfortable and all staff friendly and helpful. Reception took care of taxis to and from the city and to the airport

We arrived in Catania on 18 July 2025, ready to represent South Africa in the International World Bodybuilding Championships. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Plaza Hotel made sure we were settled in comfortably

A special mention must go to the rooftop restaurant staff on the 4th floor especially Fransico and Gabriel, two exceptional waiters who consistently went above and beyond

Good internet, smart TVs, newly renovated suite with private plunge whirlpool. Area around the hotel somewhat depressing and dilapidated with several abandoned buildings, etc.

Good stay for a night The hotel was nice looking, had decent AC, a nice pool, and access to a beach club right across the busy street. The street noise was kinda loud overnight, and the bed and pillow was hard.

The pool was really nice but the sunbed cushions a little tired and music played quite loud but that could be to drown out the noise from the traffic as the hotel is on a busy road

The hotel is alittle outsider of center . It's quiet place with swimming pool , Tennis ... , friendly and helpful staff from reception to restaurant 😀 . Private parking and Beach just cross the street .

The location is perfect, away from the crowds and the confusion of the historical centre, but with most places of interest easily reachable on foot, and plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby

Self check-in process for arrivals in the afternoon/evening but the instructions are simple and clear. Breakfast was included in my rate, and it was more than adequate to set one up for the day

We stayed in the "Dependance" apartment, with a separate entrance just a few meters around the corner from the reception building

The apartment is not too bright but very spacious, and was very quiet during our one-week stay. Sleeping area is upstairs, reachable via a steep narrow staircase (maybe not suitable for elderly people, but OK otherwise)

Self Check in if you arrive in Evening, they send you Instructions on WhatsApp for Self Check- The receptionist Oanna beyond amazing, she contact you on WhatsApp, and guide you step by step, very friendly, she speaks English very well, My kids loved her, super nice, she used to get for them especial box for them contains juice sandwiches, colors and books

The beach is 15 euros, 15 euros pool, so think before you take. Parking is free. The breakfasts are great, service is great, the service, the rooms, the location is super.

Enjoyable Stay Overall We had read the mixed reviews about the hotel and after staying there are more positives than negatives - good location , lovely pool area and sea terrace, helpful staff, comfortable bed , excellent housekeeping however the hotel does need some updating and parts need cleaning such as the lift windows and balcony furniture , more choices for eggs at breakfast would be nice

We had a balcony view to the sea. The hotel is a mix of old and new. The restaurant was perfect for dinner. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and arranged a taxi for us to the airport

The pool was nice and refreshing after a long hot day and the beer at the pool bar was cold😁. Customer service was great, thanks for getting us in on short notice

The location is superb. Accessibility is excellent, no matter where you go. Facilities are mediocre. For those who go out in the morning and come back late at night, it is excellent in terms of cost performance.

My wife and I spent 13 days at this hotel. The hotel is at the center of the main street in Catania. From the balcony we saw Etna spewing the lava. Our room was big, bathroom nice and clean

Excellent cheaper restaurants nearby. hmmm, resolved yourself (not easy). Very stylish once ready so I believe. Not everyone speaks Spanish, English or German though

So first of all, the area is near the sea, the landlady is very helpful, the house is small but well furnished and very welcoming, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is functional, breakfast is included, and above all, the water is microfiltered directly from the tap without rushing or worrying about buying a box for consumption

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at B&B La Perla during my visit to Catania, and I must say it was one of the best experiences of my travel life! The property is located in an excellent spot, just a few minutes' walk from the main attractions of the city, such as the cathedral, the market, and picturesque streets with local shops and restaurants

Massimiliano was very friendly and helpful. B&B is in a beautiful Baroque facade building. B&B is very cozy, and eclectic, with art work everywhere. Coffee and tea is readily available and shared kitchen is very handy

B&B is well located in Catania with many interesting sites, cafes, and mini marts nearby. Highly recommend Trattoria Mare for great Sicilian dishes at non-tourist prices

We had a good experience staying here for 1 night. It is close to lots of shops/restaurants. The self-check in was an easy process as they sent video tutorials to get into the building and room

Once checked in, they even called use to make sure accommodations were to our liking. They even arranged a transfer for us to the airport so we could catch our flight early in the morning

The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The view from the window was stunning, offering a beautiful panorama of the city, which made every morning special

The unit itself had a small kitchen which would have been nice if we were there long, a bedroom with 3 twin beds and when you walk in, that also was a bedroom with a double (really 2 twins together with a sheet over them)

The bathroom was ok - not super clean (ants on the floor) and the shower drain did no such thing. We used all the towels to soak up the flooded floor because there is nothing in the bathroom floor for that

Breakfast was some croissants that when we went 30 min after it opened were 80% gone and after sitting there for 10 min were never filled back up so we left without eating. That was pretty disappointing

That was the best part of the place and we were only able to use it long enough to get some photos before we had to check out to go to work

So-so Photos are not super accurate. It has an RV park area, a camping area as well as the units

Very good location and friendly owner. Breakfast is across the street in the excellent pastry shop. Bathroom is outside the room in the corridor, which is quite normal in hotels in Italy

My sister spoke to the host in italian, everybody in Sicily was very nice when you talk to them in italian, however to host was quite phlegm as if every tourist should speak Italian… The wifi is not working in the room, just in the bathroom

:D By the way bathroom, it is full with limescale, it seems that it has not been fully cleaned. The name of the place misleads, there is no breakfast, the kitchen is poorly equipped at least there is a fridge in it
