Nice and large room. Free shuttle service to the Catania airport

Clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Good restaurant on site. Only thing amiss was my body shampoo was empty and it was late in the evening. I didn’t want to ask for more at that time of night. Shuttle from airport was very easy and convenient.

The service was up to par. The toilet was substandard, the floor was slippery, and the room facilities were old. The yogurt at breakfast was in a bucket, not a cup! Omelettes were available for an additional fee.

The room was decent, clean, and tidy. It's close to the sea with a private access path, though it's not a sandy beach. The grilled fish and pasta for dinner were good, prepared in a Mediterranean style with olive oil and salt, and quite tasty.

Hotel is in a nice location, staff was very helpful. We got a room that was not renovated but even though the furniture was worn out everything was clean. Part of the hotel has been renovated so you can insist on newer rooms with better furniture. Balconies are small but the view is nice. The promenade that leads to the city is excellent.

Room was lovely. We had a balcony view to the sea. The hotel is a mix of old and new. The restaurant was perfect for dinner. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and arranged a taxi for us to the airport. There are places to eat nearby and a big grocery store. Very nice place.

I will definitely go back. Practically on the sea. The beautiful beach a few meters from the bungalow. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and pleasant staff. Large green spaces. Restaurant and tobacconist. Nearby there are restaurants, bars and a Lidl reachable in a few minutes by car. Bus stop for Catania center right at the entrance of the structure. Airport 5 minutes away.

The houses are made of cardboard, very noisy from airplanes!

Very good hotel. Very clean and comfortable. It's a pity that I can only stay in this city for one night. Although it is not a sea view room, you can still see a piece of sea, which is more charming when combined with the garden view. The hotel is very large, and the restaurant has a 180-degree view of the sea.

The location of the property is good. However, the service is terrible. We didn’t feel welcomed. We observed a different level of service being offered to others than us. It might have to do with the fact that we are not Italians and we don’t speak their language. Would recommend to book Four Points by Sheraton which is only a 5 min walk on the same road.

the rooms are a bit outdates, curtains are dirty and I booked a room with seaviews but I could see the tiniest bit of sea. Overall ok, beds comfortable, nice staff but overpriced.

We arrived around 9pm and were leaving at 4am so it was really just a place to stay. The shower would not drain so my partner took it apart and fixed it which was disgusting. The room was hot and never cooled off. We were too tired to move to a different room plus we knew it would be complicated since their computers were down. We didn’t use or see any of the amenities.

Not a great start as we had an interconnecting room and both our door and the one next to us were not locked. Someone was already occupying the room next door. Always checked the doors are locked if you have an interconnecting room! Front desk staff were helpful.

The bungalow I’ve stayed in was dirty and has lots of gnats flying around, shower is too small and has very slow drain, and the door feature is not emergency friendly in case of fire. Thanks for the good service, but I will not recommend the place in the future.

So-so Photos are not super accurate. It has an RV park area, a camping area as well as the units. The unit itself had a small kitchen which would have been nice if we were there long, a bedroom with 3 twin beds and when you walk in, that also was a bedroom with a double (really 2 twins together with a sheet over them). Stayed here unexpectedly for 4 nights when flight was delayed. Honestly it’s actually quite a nice place, we are here in winter with a camper, only people staying here. The staff at the bar and restaurant are lovely and we have been getting along really well. The place is for sure run down but good news is that there is a bunch of people working on it now and hopefully by summer it will be looking good!

This place has an amazing beach and it is not expensive. Very close proximity to the airport, a highway and some shopping malls. Otherwise it is trashy, surrounded by piles of trash and doesn't care much about clearing a trash. Mess looks to be a normal state here, which is not good or bad, it is just something you may like as a backpacker or a surfer, or consider unacceptable as a family or someone...

The San Max Hotel was a perfect place to stay for our last night in Sicily before flying home. Staff were great in getting us a taxi booked for early in the morning and letting us know about the hotel. The room was fine and even a lot bigger than we needed. The requested second bed was set-up and waiting. It is not high luxury but it was clean and in a very central location.

The hotel itself was nice, but the breakfast is a disaster. No hot meals, only pastries and the selection of drinks was very poor. Lux loung bar no bueno. Cleaning was good, klima was good.

Staff are very friendly, food is good. Breakfast had plenty options. The highlight was the rooftop bar especially at night. The downside was no bottled water in rooms, we had to pay for any water.

The hotel breakfast is superb! You can see the snow-capped mountains on the top floor. The service is also very good. It is highly recommended and suitable for vacation. It is a little far from the city and requires a taxi.
