Crociferi B&B in Catania

I loved this place! Highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, the house is unique, and I loved the breakfast. The landlady was especially welcoming; I really wanted to stay another day, but unfortunately, I didn't have time. I want to express my gratitude again to the owner for their warm service.

Authentic, Sicilian accommodations which reminded my husband of his grandparents. Clean and spacious living room and bedroom. Great location for restaurants. Difficult to locate if you need to park as GPS gives directions to road that ends with stairs and does not go through to the building and courtyard. Elevator sign stated it was “out of order”, however the owner had us use it for our luggage and then had us climb 2 flights of stairs to our room. There was no explanation given for the “out of order” sign when the elevator clearly worked. The owner asked us not to open the French doors because there weren’t any screens on them, which was fine. She also reminded us that electricity was very expensive. Around 10:00 pm, after we returned from dinner, we realized that both remotes for the air conditioning units in the living room and bedroom had been removed from their wall mounts and we felt it was too late to contact the owners so we did sleep with the French doors open. Unsure if the reason for the “out of order” elevator sign and the missing air conditioning remotes was due to the price of electricity.

The location was excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hostess is gracious and ready with excellent recommendations. It was also nice to share breakfast with other guests. We would absolutely go back again.

This B&B’s location is hard to beat. You’re moments away from Via Etenea, about 5 mins from the Duomo and less than a minute from fantastic draft beer at the corner of Via Crociferi. The rooms are wonderfully decorated - with a lightly off-beat, personal touch. Shower pressure - because that does really matter - is fab. One thing to be aware of - the property doesn’t have external bathrooms so once you’re checked out, you’re done.

An amazing stay in Catania. Hated to leave our beautiful rooftop apartment. Lots of stairs but totally worth it. Our hostess Teresa was wonderful, friendly and efficient.

This is one of the most amazing B&B's I have ever stayed at. The host, Terese, was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and help with local attractions and travel advice during the rail strike. She is a fluent English speaker. She booked a taxi for me on arrival at Catania airport which was well worthwhile as the airport is a confusing mess. He was such a good and reliable driver that we used him throughout our stay. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and they are very quiet. The B&B is very secure with an outer locked gate to the courtyard with an entry phone, a locked outer door and an internal locked door. We did not find any problems having a separate bathroom as the door for it was right next to the door of our room. When we came back later during our stay in Sicily she kindly upgraded us to a better room for no charge! Breakfast was ten euros and was delicious, with a cappucino, yoghurt, juice, cold meats and cheese and delicious bread. City tax was two euros per person per night. When I had a problem plugging my shaver charger in, Terese kindly found me a special adapter.

It was great to stay at Crociferi B&B, such an authentic and beautiful place in the historic part of Catania, very centrally located, quiet, and very clean. The owner, Teresa, paid personal attention to each guest, which made our stay very pleasant. If we travel to Catania again in the future to visit other places in Sicily, we will definitely choose Crociferi B&B again.

Great B&B with kind hosts
Our host had to walk to help us park our car as Google Maps didn't recognize the street access but our hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The room was great and our hosts helped us park the car. It was not easy exiting the hotel to get out of Catania as Google Maps had us go round in circles. We think this BnB is best accessed on foot or by taxi

We had a very pleasant stay. Teresa was very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the room was beautiful and clean. Great location, and we would absolutely recommend staying at this B&B.
