MaNanna B&B in Marzamemi

We stayed for 5 nights in October. What a great experience,beautiful home and excellent hosts. Our room was beautiful with our own little balcony. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. The area is also beautiful. Lida and Giuseppe can answer any questions you have about the area. They speak, English, French and Italian so no need to worry about communicating. A wonderful stay

Our home base during our recent trip to Sicily was Marzamemi, MaNanna B&B. Situated in the southerly point of the island, a small town famous for its Tuna fishing past. Our wonderful hosts: Giuseppe Argentino & Lida Lamy (my brother’s pal for over 30+ years), who run MaNanna B&B. They made us feel welcome and their knowledge and enthusiasm for Sicily is infectious. Giuseppe, who is a top chef & previously worked in 5 star hotels treated us to some scrumptious treats for breakfast and Lida gave us great advice on places to visit of historical interest and was also helpful as a translator as our Italian is very limited! Our day trips included Syracuse, Noto and Modica all beautiful towns with much to see and sample: feasts for the eyes and the stomach! We also managed to fit in an afternoon at a nearby beach - Agua Beach Resort in San Lorenzo. The weather was very warm 30+d C and the sun shone everyday. In the evenings we strolled to the main square under 2 minutes walk where there are many local restaurants to choose from. We will be back to visit Lida & Giuseppe again! xx

From the moment we reserved we got a nice message ! When we arrived Lida greeted us and showed us there family home.They told us all about the history of of there home and town ..In the morning we got served a nice spread that Chef Giuseppe made ..:) will recommend all my family and friends to come see your beautiful home and setting ! We loved our time here : Lida was helpful, friendly and welcoming and made a point of asking how each day had gone. We didn't realise that she was part Canadian and hence a fluent English speaker which helped. The B+B is well situated close to the square and 2 mins from the sea and the bedroom was smart, spacious and modern. Giuseppe's breakfasts were homemade and the best we experienced in 2 weeks travel in Sicily: home made cakes, fresh fruit, almonds and honey, all locally sourced. We had 4 nights here and so we were able to visit the southernmost Cap, Noto and Vendicari. A note of caution: you have to park in a car park as the street offers no parking; this was easy enough as we got a pass for 4 days. The only other advice would be to check the size of the balcony as ours was too narrow to sit on and looked onto other houses. All in all a wonderful place to stay. If you can visit out of season, you might get to see flamingoes in the village.

Great welcome, Lida and her husband Giuseppe (an ex top chef from Switzerland ) were amazing hosts. What a breakfast !! homemade from Giuseppe daily this is an amazing B&B, really top class and good value for money in a great location.Service was outstanding, we would highly recommend staying here and it was by far the best B&B we stayed in during our 10 day holiday to Sicily. Also Marzamemi is still a real hidden gem and I hope stays that way.

Most B&B are just for sleep and breakfast. MaNanna is an experience. Great rooms, exceptional service and exclusive location. About 100 meter away from an historic plaza that now houses 2 Michelin guide restaurants directly on the waters of the Mediterranean sea. And if possible, you could ask Giuseppe, a world class chef, to make dinner at the B&B.

A beautiful setup in a surprising coastal village. Rooms are varied for party size and cleaned daily. Breakfast is served with fresh local, seasonal, fruits. If you're adventurous, you can ask the owner to cook you a homestyle dinner, considering he's a world class professional chef. If not, the B&B is minutes away from a plaza, with many bistros, bar and gelato spots. We toured many regions of Sicily, and Marzamemi has the best to offer, and MaNanna is probably the best in the village
