The rooms are very small and we can hear the voices from other Rooms around.

We like Italy, thought we'd try Sicily. Really enjoyed ourselves, 10 nights at the Kalos hotel, room 309 which we thought the best room there, for the view and the breeze. Free room safe, free TV, free a/c. Nice, clean hotel, kind staff, medium quality breakfast. Huge advantage is that hotel is just above the sea. 15 minutes by walk to the town center, 5 minutes to the nearest restaurants.

Good location as it was super close to Taormina but also easy to go to other parts of Sicily nearby. I was a bit disappointed by the service as I kept getting forgotten when I had a problem or needed to request something. The air conditioning in the room was controlled by reception and they told me it could not go lower than 21 degrees Celsius which was not enough for me.

Rooms seem recently renovated. Nice surfaces. VERY clean. Large bathroom. Love the balcony views. Close to the water if you are interested. Great location to drive into/out of Taormina and Mtn Etna. Asked the front desk to chill a special bottle of wine and the graciously did so. Would return!

Overall okay, the service and facilities were okay, the breakfast was good. But the cleaning was not okay and the cleaning lady left the door unlocked on several occasions. Which was very unpleasant when you have all your luggage there.

The hotel does not understand the policy of payment for drinks at the pool bar. On Friday, the juices were given for free, on Saturday, the juice , it turns out, were paid and we only found out at check-out when I had to pay for everything. The hotel is on a hill, very dangerous road to the sea. The Shuttle does not go. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if traveling with children.

Only the airconditioning, it works, but it doesn’t really cool the room very much. The location was perfect only -5 minutes walk to the boulevard and the beach. Hotel located on a side street of the main seaside street. Large room with garden complete with sitting area. Cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. They have discounts at daily paid parking (approximately 200 m) and at the equipped beach.

Just spent a week here. Accomodation was basic but spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area, with lots of young people having a great time. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Staff were great. Couple of issues we had were swiftly dealt with by the very helpful reception staff, don't understand some of the negative reviews on here.

The staff at Villaggio Alkantara could not have been better. Everyone was so helpful. Antonella and Linda in the bar were so friendly and Irene and the rest of the cleaning team couldn't do enough for us. Luca at reception also deserves a shout out for being great. We were a group of 10 people and were made to feel so at home and so looked after for our entire stay.

The rooms were fairly basic, but extremely clean and functional with good airconditioning. The place has a pretty big swimming pool and animation/activities for families. A very lovely b&b, the outside doesn’t give justice compared to the inside, which take your breath away. We had a room on the first floor, with balcony and a spacious common terrace .
