We chose Villa Anna because it was very close to the center of Lucca but not inside the wall which is very restrictive when you have a car. We stayed 6 nights and had a triple room. What a fantastic place, and just a very short walk from the city walls. The room was very comfortable and absolutely spotlessly clean. It is a beautiful house, very cozy with a very cute, old-style decoration, the rooms are very clean and with all kinds of details, from a mini fridge with drinks and soap and a toothbrush in the bathroom, the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very complete and with all kinds of variety. The truth is that it has been a very pleasant stay and excellent service.

Breakfast was delicious! There was a wide variety provided to us like meat, cheese, yogurt, blue berries, orange, eggs, and pastries. We felt safe there and parking was easy.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming B&B. It is centrally located just right outside the wall. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had in our 3 weeks in Italy. The hosts were very helpful, and booked 2 fabulous places for dinner for us. If we are able to make it back to Lucca, we would definitely stay here again.

Arriving at the B&B is like being welcomed into a warm family home. Giovanna and Francesco are such lovely hosts and we felt really comfortable during our stay. A comfortable stay of 4 nights. Lucca is a lovely, small city with a friendly atmosphere. This is a family (delightful hosts) run b&b in a great location near the station and 300 metres from the city walls.

When we arrived all tables were taken (only 6 or 7 tables for 2) it was pouring with rain and we had to sit under umbrella outside. We've had a wonderful stay at Ai Cipressi, we can't recommend it enough. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need and very clean. We have really enjoyed our stay here. The B&B Alma is a very convenient Bed&Breakfast. It is close enough to Lucca center, by car, and situated across a shopping center where it is possible to park the car (for free); if you do not have a car, it is easy to use the bus (LAM Blue line) to get to the center of Lucca. Serena does a wonderful job keeping the hotel clean, with good breakfast and giving helpful tourist information.

Location in a quiet area, large area. The swimming pool is open 9.30-19.00. Sunbeds and umbrellas, no food allowed. Apartment ok, two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen. Kitchen equipment ok, no sponge, washing-up liquid, cloths. Outside there is a table and chairs, an umbrella. Sun loungers and a clothes dryer available. Wifi problem.

The place is peaceful and quiet. I found the apartment clean enough and the owners kind enough. The pool has a nice view but there is no place in the shade. You have to pay separately for linen and electricity consumption. The air conditioner is placed in a room and to cool the whole house the doors must be kept open ... Rating: more than enough.

Nice and well maintained swimming pool but without a trace of shade despite the structure under which the deckchairs are placed. Beautiful area, but the apartments desperately needs new paint and modernization. They even had CRT TVs which I havent seen in 20 years.

We had a comfortable, quiet room away from the traffic, yet the location is convenient for people who wish to explore Lucca inside the wall by foot. Breakfast was very good, too. And free protected parking at the back of the property makes this an especially attractive place for those who have cars.

We have been to Lucca many times and have now found a new home at Villa La Tuia. It was a wonderful stay. Our time in Lucca kept getting extended and we were thrilled that we could stay longer with Monica our wonderful hostess.

Super place! Great location! Great check-in via phone...we were walked through to our key pick-up and room! Room is basic for 2 people with on-suite bathroom (not all tooms have this but do have private hall baths.) Cute newly done bathroom, and continental breakfast included. Located less than 5 minute walk to one of Lucca's portas. Very convenient! And host is very friendly!!!!

The place was lovely, clean and conveniently close to the old town. The interior of the room was also clean and simple. Also bed was comfortable too. There was nothing missing from the breakfast buffet that I would have missed. There was yoghurt, granola, bread, cold cuts, cheese and of course coffee. Overall, the price/quality ratio was excellent.

Great place for families! We stayed at Villa Corte degli Dei with our children and had a wonderful time. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa is quiet, safe and very close to the center of Lucca. Check-in was easy, parking is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it to families visiting the area!

Small but very nice hotel. It is located outside the historical center in a semi-rural environment. That is conducive to a quiet, relaxing stay. Getting to the historical center is an easy walk or one can use public transportation or taxis. The pool is beautiful but useable only in the summer as it not heated. We enjoyed our stay very much at Villa Corte Degli Dei. Our room was very nice, the grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early May 2025. This hotel had two castle like buildings for guests. This hotel was fairly new and the pool was large and beautiful. The free breakfast was very nice spread of various foods. The gated facility provided free parking. The walk to the Lucca city wall was about 15 minutes.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Old and charming My plan was to book a small hotel closer to Pisa so I didn't check the maps enough and we ended up a bit away...but that was a blessing instead because this small town is old and very beautiful. The B&B is old and very charming so we ended up having a lovely stay.

The distance from Lucca was too far for someone not with a car although there was a bus service. The rooms were very clean and tiled as was the bathroom which was quite large. We stayed here four nights. Our room was fine. Just the basics and nothing fancy, though it had a safe and a small refrigerator. There is no real view but the area is quiet. We rode our bikes into Lucca, which was about 8 km, most of it on a bike path. The breakfast is okay but the breads can be stale (my guess is that they are renewed every other day). For the price, it is a very good value...

The pool was a bonus especially with children although needs some TLC (loose tiles, and old tired furniture). About a 20 minute walk to the centre of Lucca. There is a bus stop close by. Although the bus isn’t frequent. Bakery a short walk but closes during the afternoon.

35 mins walk from Lucca's main entrance. Or you can rent a bike for a day or half day and everything is so close! Great well-served breakfast and comfy rooms. Really powerful A/C for the summer heat.
