Oasis after a crazy day Last minute stay required and it was within walking distance. A quiet refuge to a crazy day. Great reception and a relaxing sleep.

The place was ok, the room smelled like clean and dirty at the same time, bathroom smelled like urine. And the top bed cover smelled awful

5 minute walk from the old city wall and with a wonderful breakfast to start each day our 4 night stay couldn't have been better. We were lucky with street parking right in front of building; not sure if legal but we were assured it was OK and turned out to be so. So close to the old city, but being just outside enabled easy local area car journeys.

A great place to stay just out of the old historic center of Lucca. The service was great and enjoyed the breakfast which was fully complete. And as a pilgrim a good breakfast is important. Grazie mille

Lovely rooms and lovely owners. The breakfast is with self made products and there is quite some choice. Clean rooms with air conditioning. Only lack is the not so good shower. For the rest very nice B&B

The location at the heart of the historic city was perfect, and the street was very peaceful. The room was delightful- on two levels, with lovely views in all directions. Breakfast was in a pretty courtyard. A real treat.

The place and rooms are lovely and well situated inside the walls of the old town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms can be a bit noisy sometimes (people in the street or garbage collectors in the morning) but it's the price to pay for being so well located.

Breakfast was delicious! There was a wide variety provided to us like meat, cheese, yogurt, blue berries, orange, eggs, and pastries. We felt safe there and parking was easy.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming B&B. It is centrally located just right outside the wall. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had in our 3 weeks in Italy. The hosts were very helpful, and booked 2 fabulous places for dinner for us. If we are able to make it back to Lucca, we would definitely stay here again.

Arriving at the B&B is like being welcomed into a warm family home. Giovanna and Francesco are such lovely hosts and we felt really comfortable during our stay. The towels and linen are very good quality and we were surprised how large our room and bathroom was as the website doesn’t do them justice. We recently stayed here, September 2025, and here are our pros and cons. Pro’s: Great location to historic Lucca city, 5 minute walk. Great rustic Italian atmosphere. Delicious breakfast every morning. Very clean room. Con’s: Very, very noisy. Traffic and barking dogs. Hard to sleep. Even though there was a thermostat that said air conditioning it didn’t work. We had to sleep with the windows...

A comfortable stay of 4 nights. Lucca is a lovely, small city with a friendly atmosphere. This is a family (delightful hosts) run b&b in a great location near the station and 300 metres from the city walls.

Super place! Great location! Great check-in via phone...we were walked through to our key pick-up and room! Room is basic for 2 people with on-suite bathroom (not all tooms have this but do have private hall baths.) Cute newly done bathroom, and continental breakfast included. Located less than 5 minute walk to one of Lucca's portas. Very convenient! And host is very friendly!!!!

Charming B&B just outside Lucca. Clean, affordable, and very welcoming host who made us feel right at home. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained aswell as the toilet. A peaceful spot, perfect for exploring the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommended!

The place was lovely, clean and conveniently close to the old town. The interior of the room was also clean and simple. Also bed was comfortable too. There was nothing missing from the breakfast buffet that I would have missed. There was yoghurt, granola, bread, cold cuts, cheese and of course coffee. Overall, the price/quality ratio was excellent.

Ideally located for walking into Lucca city, and exploring the town and walls. Quiet location, one way residential street. Spotlessly clean, really friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is plentiful - our room on the 2nd floor had a balcony, wonderful for just chilling Absolutely recommend

Great location just outside walls and less than a 10 minute walk to the train station. Very happy with my room, which had an en suite bathroom and private balcony. Nice breakfast . Friendly staff

Great place for families! We stayed at Villa Corte degli Dei with our children and had a wonderful time. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa is quiet, safe and very close to the center of Lucca. Check-in was easy, parking is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it to families visiting the area!

Small but very nice hotel. It is located outside the historical center in a semi-rural environment. That is conducive to a quiet, relaxing stay. Getting to the historical center is an easy walk or one can use public transportation or taxis. The pool is beautiful but useable only in the summer as it not heated. We enjoyed our stay very much at Villa Corte Degli Dei. Our room was very nice, the grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early May 2025. This hotel had two castle like buildings for guests. This hotel was fairly new and the pool was large and beautiful. The free breakfast was very nice spread of various foods. The gated facility provided free parking. The walk to the Lucca city wall was about 15 minutes.

Just returned from 4 nights at this fabulous small hotel with lots of charm and character, we booked a superior double room on a bed and breakfast basis, room was very clean and had a useful mini fridge.. the pool area is beautiful, very peaceful and the perfect place to relax in the Tuscan sunshine after a mornings sight seeing. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Accommodation good and lovely location. However we opted for breakfast which we knew was in a cafe down the road. When we arrived all tables were taken (only 6 or 7 tables for 2) it was pouring with rain and we had to sit under umbrella outside. A most hospitable stay at this B&B with a scrumptious breakfast provided at the local bakery/ cafe around the corner. Fresh orange juice with freshly baked produce. B&B is well located, built on remains of Roman amphitheater and you can see that in the building. Room was small and hot water was only lukewarm in the small shower. What a charming B&B. The staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable beds with a good working shower. Lovely pool and gardens to relax in. Walking into town takes about 15 mins and taxis are easily bookable. Not ideal for disabled people due to lots of stairs.

This was a great place to stay The pool and garden were great in the summer heat. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit eggs bacon toast yoghurt and great coffee A short drive to the walled city of Lucca where parking was easy. We chose Villa Anna because it was very close to the center of Lucca but not inside the wall which is very restrictive when you have a car. We stayed 6 nights and had a triple room. The location cannot be beat, closet to many restaurants and attractions, shops, etc. The whole house has been renovated and everything is in perfect condition. What a fantastic place, and just a very short walk from the city walls. The room was very comfortable and absolutely spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very varied and in a lovely kitchen/dining space. Nice garden and balcony areas if you want to have a quiet sit. Max was a great host. A perfect stay.

B&B is quite adequate and close to Lucca city. Large Italian villa with rooms off a long corridor. Room lacks sofa or somewhere to relax unless you lie on the bed. Wonderful host - very friendly and helpful! The villa and the rooms are beautifully decorated with an outstanding level of taste. One can feel that the facility was furnished with love and not - as commonly seen today - only cheap cheap cheap. The city walls are 6min walking and I recommend everyone a walk on the forested city walls which enclose Lucca entirely!

Stunning ornate palazzo located perfectly in the center of the old walled town. Easy to get to from Lucca station, bus 3+ drops you off out front. Fairytale atmosphere, each ceiling is ornately painted, marble, flooring…the accomodation was certainly a highlight of our stay. Then Lucca... what can I say, a marvel I recommend it to anyone who wants something exclusive in the city High standard residence...

This is not a place for modern minimalist. It has all the weight and beauty of time that has passed. It is a memory rather than a presence. I loved my stay here in the middle of Lucca, particularly the very spacious rooms and the high ceilings. Breakfast room is special in its modesty and regal feel. Our room was fantastic considering the cost , the shower needs redone at least the grouting , the Palazzo is full of character. The location is fantastic and the chance to park is wonderful. Very interesting and unusual place to stay - 17th century palazzo. It felt exciting living in that environment. Though it looks a bit old at the first glance, it definitely has its charm. An absolutely gorgeous bed+breakfast with one of the most incredible rooms I've ever stayed in - I literally felt like royalty every time I woke up, left and came back to the Loreley suite. Only a few rooms in a lovely old Palazzo still inhabited by the owner on the ground floor. Big and nice rooms and the breakfast room is an epiphany - high ceilings and full of baroque paintings! It didn't feel posh though, but welcomed and very family style. Would definitely recommend it! It's inside the city walls and you can reach all the attractions by foot.

Very good pension. Clean, well maintained, well managed. The location is somewhat further from the city center, but bikes are available free of charge to get there. The only bit to be improved is breakfast, which might be more generous.

The B&B Alma is a very convenient Bed&Breakfast. It is close enough to Lucca center, by car, and situated across a shopping center where it is possible to park the car (for free); if you do not have a car, it is easy to use the bus (LAM Blue line) to get to the center of Lucca. Serena does a wonderful job keeping the hotel clean, with good breakfast and giving helpful tourist information.

Too far from city center, not very comfortable pillow and nobody arround to ask for another one, weird old smell in the room

The location and parking. We had an overnight stop and so need somewhere easy and affordable. This was the place. There is Lidl in walking distance which was great for stocking up on essentials before heading off on the road again. Easy walking distance to the medieval town centre.

I’ve stayed here a night last summer in the family room. Spacious and clean 'two-room apartment' that offered enough space for family with 3 or even 4 children. Great place to stay for the price. Just 2-3 mins walk from the Porta Elisa gate of the old town. We had a big room and a very decent sized washroom. Also, a nice balcony.

Beautiful hotel! The restaurant had fantastic food and the pool area was great. The breakfast left something to be desired, but everything else was perfect!
