This was an amazing find in the wonderful historic center of Lucca. It is a private Palace with gorgeous historic rooms, easy parking for our one car and a wonderful welcome from both the owner and staff. It is in the center of the historic area and could not have been more perfect. The bedrooms were very comfortable and like something out of a movie.

Have you wondered what it would be like to stay in a real palace? Now is your chance. You should jump at it. This palace is centuries old so don’t expect a typical hotel experience. If you want a palatial room, massive charm, caring staff, a terrific breakfast and a perfect location this is your place.

Amore! Wow! We loved our stay at Tucci Palazzo. We were greeted by Anna who was so welcoming and helpful. Shared history and local knowledge including the opera that evening which was a beautiful evening. We loved it so much we stayed another night and cancelled other hotel despite no refund. Stayed for one night at the tango hotel after a problem with our reservation at a different hotel.. The owners were wonderful. Met us at the other hotel to escort us to their hotel. They recommended a wonderful restaurant that the locals eat at. Our room was very comfortable. The bed was amazing. Had the best sleep of our vacation so far!! Easy walk to the walked city. We last visited Lucca six years ago, and we returned this year to find Tangohotel better than ever. The third floor patio has been completed, and it is modern, functional, and comfortable, with a view up Via della Formica of the cathedral tower. Tangohotel is a sturdy, very clean, and well-maintained alternative to pricey conventional hotels, and we would never consider staying anywhere else in Lucca...

We arrived at the hotel very early and they were very accommodating. We had several correspondence with the hotel prior to arrival and always got a very prompt response. The hotel is simple clean and tidy, which is all we needed. It is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the main town of lucca. We didn’t inquire about breakfast and just waited that we got to Town to eat but we were informed...

Warm welcome, helpful staff, attentive to customers, a big thank you to them. Beautifully decorated room. Very pleasant night in very decent bedding. The bathroom was large, allowing easy movement and access to the furniture was convenient.

If you are visiting Lucca for the LSF summer festival this is a great find. Just a 10 minute walk to the big stadium and 15 to the one in the square. The rooms are quite small but really well equipped with air conditioning and the hosts could not have done more to make us feel at home. They even extended check out to help us with post Blur recovery!!

Very nice hotel, the building is lovely renovated and everything is functionnal. The owners are very nice and accomodating and the price is reasonable. It is not too far from the city center of Lucca but conveniently situated and close to the station. We used the hotel as a base camp for a 3 day trip around Tuscany and we really appreciated it.

Everything was perfect. The room was comfortable and had a patio. The upstairs rooms had a terrace. A very quiet location with a pool and a 10-minute drive from Lucca. The staff was very friendly. They had breakfast and dinner service, but we didn't use it. The only downside was that the ground-floor rooms were a bit like a basement due to the shape of the grounds, and there were more mosquitoes.

Hotel Carignano is a perfect hotel to stay in with their great staff, easy check in, a location that is very amenable to the walled old town Lucca (tip: free parking at Piazzale Don Franco Baroni. It's less than 5 minutes walk to the walls from there.) The breakfast buffet has ample and a variety of foods to select from. A truly great hotel to stay in and enjoy all that Lucca has to offer!!

Friendly and efficient staff, I would give the structure 3 stars, abundant dinner average, breakfast to be reviewed, good cleaning... top courtesy and availability, even though the pool was closed, they let us use the sunbeds, very kind.

We sleep here on the first day of the Via Francigena cycling tour, now in its second year. The rooms are fine, the breakfast is good. And we could store our bikes in a storage room. Perfect.

Long weekend in Lucca. Nice and clean hotel. The staff was helpful with what we asked. Small furnished rooms, and no possibility to sit there. Would have liked to have had glass in the rooms. Unfortunately there were roadworks in the area, so planned excursions by bus were cancelled. Impossible to get a taxi back to the hotel from Lucca city center, which resulted in a 6 km long walk in the dark.

The hotel is in a old manor house in a small village, located about halfway between Lucca and Pisa. It was hard to find when we first arrived. If you like peace and quiet in the countryside, then this location is ideal. There are a few restaurants on the main road between Lucca and Pisa, but their opening hours are unpredictable. The hotel staff is friendly and breakfast is adequate.

Really nice hotel in a absolutely beautiful environment. The staff were very helpful and kind. We spent two nights at the hotel and enjoyed our time to the fullest – and will definitely return when we are in the neighborhood again.

This place really is something different. It's got a really cool design and the suite is massive. It's very calm and probably 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Lucca but you get a peace and quiet that you probably won't get inside the walls. The breakfast is nice and the two staff members I dealt with were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

Your hotel was wonderful,we loved all the paintings on the walls and the wrought iron four poster bed with historical helmets on the side for lights . The bathroom was lovely. But most of all the staff were fantastic and so helpful. When we come back will definitely request to stay in the room that overlooks the garden with a roll top bath. These little apartments are very convenient. The parking is included, 15 minute walk to any part of old Lucca. The rooms are modern and clean. Large fridge, lots of space. If you arriving by car, there isn't a better place in Lucca to stay.

If you want to stay outside of the busyness of the walled town of Lucca, the villa is a great destination. The extensive remodel of the villa was done perfectly… the beautiful painted frescos on the walls, the furniture, the lovely gardens and pool….attention to detail in every corner! Arriving at the gates of the fully restored villa along a small country road near Lucca is a little daunting. Once the electric gates open however there was Julien, son of the owners, to greet us. Holiday with my two teenage daughter, we loved it and were made so welcome and to feel part of their family. From our arrival to our departure we were given guidance and help when needed and nothing was too much trouble, I would highly recommend.

Extra charge This was a beautiful property. 1.2 miles to the old town center. The spa shown on the photos is an extra charge of 20 Euros per person for 1.5 hours with 24 hour notice. Overall very comfortable and a nice breakfast.

Absolutely adored this place. The very essence of pure tranquility, the grounds are awesome, so lush, green and spacious. Great sized pool and comfy sunloungers that you're not battling for. Excellent location and secure paid parking. Rooms are quiet when windows are closed. Bathroom/shower facilities are not satisfactory and in need of updates. No elevator. Carrying luggage up and down can be a struggle. Breakfast starts at 08:00 and we had to leave before the time. The reception hours are limited.

La Gemma was great for our quick stay in Lucca. Was easy to find, staff was kind, things were clean. The area is lovely for exploring in and around Lucca.

We reserved a room that was on the second floor (in other words, the 3rd floor). We were hoping for a ground floor, but we were advised that was not available. However, we were moved to anothe location, with minimum stairs. We were very grateful!

This B&B surpassed everything I had in mind. The drive into the Lucca walls and to the B&B is more than difficult but once you are there and parked... wow!!! When we got lost, I called the B&B and they met me in the Piazza where we were and escorted us to the hotel to get settled. Excellent find in Lucca We loved our stay. The hosts were fabulous. The food was fabulous. We did have a little difficulty finding it. As it is in the center of town, but somewhat hidden.

We had a fantastic stay at B&B La Boheme - the rooms were huge, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Breakfasts were excellent too. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

I stayed at hotel Diana during my trip to Lucca for the summer music festival. The experience I had was wonderful and the staff were supper nice, helpful and accommodating.

What a beautiful B&B pleasantly surprised how comfortable the room was one of the best sleeps I had, there is a ensuite with shower, the owner is the most wonderful host and the cleanliness is second to none. It’s on my list for future trips recommending to my family and friends, close to the city of Lucca and in a quiet area.

We have been 4 nights in this nice B&B. Roberta is a great hostess who likes to please the guests. The room is fresh and cozy. Nice and big too. Bathroom is well equipped. Breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect for travellers with a car, the hotel has a huge parking lot. The walking distance to the old center gate is 10 minutes. The rooms are not recently renovated but they were clean, air conditioning working perfectly. The hotel rooms are pretty and clear,compared to other 2 stars hotels,and they do speak english (wich could be helpfull).Also wothy a mention that they give you a map of the town and a quick guidance about the most popular and finest structures and restaurants :D

Like most places in Italy it is a challenge finding your hotel. Once found it was a very nice place. Our private bathroom which we misunderstood is a private bathroom down the hall. All in all a good place to stay.

The biggest problem with this property is that we booked it from the ******* website listing as a Hotel. It is not a hotel. It is an air bnb. It should be listed on Vrbo, not *******. It is a perfectly fine air bnb type accommodation. However, if you are expecting a hotel with a staff to man a front desk, bell service, or an elevator, forget it. We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality. We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout. The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. We would stay here again.

It was so quaint. I had a room with a large window over looking a private garden. So it felt safe, quiet, private and beautiful. The staff were so helpful. And the location was great — right in the middle of the city walls.

Great location within the wall, 10min from train station, 8min from all the other sights. Host is very helpful. Biggest shower we've had on our whole trip! There's no mini fridge to keep your drinks cold as they don't want you to eat in the room. Would stay there again!

Best option for a night (or two or three or more) in Lucca. Right in the center, but tucked away in a quiet street and wrapped around an inner courtyard so you can wake up to birds rather than cars and after parties. Stayed here during an off road cycle tour of Tuscany. The owner Mika is so kind and helpful. Location is great - so easy to get to everywhere & it is quiet. Our room was a bit of a disappointment because it was advertised as a ‘garden room’ when in reality it was dark; its only window was high up giving a view of someone’s washing line in a small courtyard. That may be the booking app’s fault though

The B&B has the perfect location in the heart of Lucca. You can walk everywhere, for example the tower and the main train station and delicious Trattorias. Mirco is a super friendly and attentive host who will help you with everything. The obly downside is the think walls, depending in your neighbours arguing. You shouldnt be sensitive towars that. Besides that, highly recommended.... ;)

Very nice place to stay in Lucca! The hotel is in the middle of the city center but in a quiet street so there's no noise at night. If you park at the free parking spot it's only a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Absolutely perfect! The room was very clean and cool. Attic room was a bit warm but had good airconditioning. Nice place with great staff and a cool theme. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Breakfast was a bit disappointing the scrambled eggs were turning slightly green by the time we showed up.

The place is great for vacation. All the people we met were really kind and willing to help us. As for the rooms - the main disadvantage were quite thin walls, which makes you hear people in the surrounding rooms. Unfortunately, this was crucial to preserve the unique style of the rooms. Other than that - really happy with the stay.

I stayed at this B&B for a couple of days and really enjoyed it! The location is just a couple of minutes away from the city center and the room itself is well equipped, clean and really comfortable. Super nice B&B. The entry hall is stunning and my room was pretty and clean. There is also a private parking spot. For me the location was perfect, the center of Lucca is just a five minutes walk away and you can find a nice bakery just around the corner. Really enjoyed my stay.

We booked this place literally an hour before arrival and they were accommodating and very kind. The room was ok, you have to like the style but it was comfortable, nice bathroom, great shower and comfortable beds. Free parking right outside. Great price and very convenient for one night and literally 10 minutes from the center but with food options all around!

We stayed two nights. Good location, nice hosts, very clean, but they didn’t serve breakfast the second day we were there. We booked this place because it’s a bed and BREAKFAST. The one morning we did have breakfast it was very good; a modest but delicious buffet. Lovely backyard where we had some wine and played cards under the awning.

A heart-felt welcome. Lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much. An excellent continental breakfast, eggs were offered each morning if you required something hot.
