B&B Villa Anna in Lucca

We chose Villa Anna because it was very close to the center of Lucca but not inside the wall which is very restrictive when you have a car. We stayed 6 nights and had a triple room. The location cannot be beat, closet to many restaurants and attractions, shops, etc. The whole house has been renovated and everything is in perfect condition. Our room was large, we had space to open both large suitcases, the AC worked great, the bathroom was large and the shower had great water pressure. The cleaning staff is amazing and they do a wonderful job cleaning the room and keeping the whole house spotless. The breakfast is very good, lots of different choices of bread, pastries, cereal, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, ham, american coffee and cappuccino if you want. The host, Max, is delighful, on top of everything, always with a smile. The rooms are very quiet, even through the house is on a main street. Value for the price is excellent. Would definitely stay there again. Oh! and there is parking, free, on premises, one more plus to this wonderful place. No elevator but Max will help you get your luggage up if you are on the second floor.

What a fantastic place, and just a very short walk from the city walls. The room was very comfortable and absolutely spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very varied and in a lovely kitchen/dining space. Nice garden and balcony areas if you want to have a quiet sit. Max was a great host. A perfect stay.

Lovely B&B just outside Lucca
Lovely little spot just on outside the perimeter walls of Lucca - nice rooms, charming decor, key card entry for room and main door, and off street parking. Well run and very friendly, with a great breakfast, I recommend staying here.

Our 2nd stay with Max at Villa Anna did not disappoint. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast choices were plentiful. Location is walking distance to entrance of the old city. Parking is available (outside of ZTL) if you reserve ahead of time. We will definitely come back next time we visit.

We had the best experience at Villa Anna! It is just next to the city wall so it only took 2 minutes to be inside the old city. The Villa is super clean, beautiful air conditioned room with private bath, and a delicious breakfast every morning with so many choices. Max is the owner and he is the nicest host, makes great cappuccino, and is there to help with anything. I will certainly be back to Lucca and will always stay here! Grazie mille!

I recently stayed at Villa Anna with 3 friends for a 4 night break. The Villa itself is just outside the city walls. A pleasant 5 minute walk takes you to the nearest entrance - Porta Elisa. Max the owner was very helpful when emailing beforehand with questions and even picked us up from the airport. We stayed in Suite Guilia which had 2 interconnecting rooms and a lovely big bathroom . Breakfast had plenty choice including cold cuts, cereals, breads and pastries, along with a choice of freshly made coffees and teas. The Villa looks like it has recently been decorated and although it’s facilities are all modern they have not lost the lovely traditional look of it. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here. Great value and ideally situated for both sightseeing in Lucca or for going further afield to Pisa or Florence - the train station is about 10 mins walk away .
