Located in old central Poppi adjacent to the castle of count guidi. Excellent breakfast provided. Incredible view from our room. Very spacious room with comfortable bed. Stayed for 4 days and had a great experience, everywhere was spotlessly clean, great service from the staff. No aircon in the room I had, so if the weather is warm be prepared.

Very close to the castle of Poppi and one of the main squares, with a super nice bar. Great view of the surrounding area and the Tuscan mountains. We had dinner there, in the garden, and the food was amazing.

A charming place suitable for families and couples, nestled in the Tuscan countryside. We had access to a wood-burning oven and barbecue, and the well-kept garden makes you feel right at home. I stayed at this beautiful property on May 31, 2025. The place is located in a valley surrounded by greenery and nature. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the outdoor area is well-organized, and there's everything you need to relax. This b&b is very nice in a very quiet hamlet in the hills of the Alto Casentino. The landlady was very hospitable, who offered us a delicious breakfast with cakes made by her, juices and jams made with their fruit. And she would have made a gluten-free cake too, if I'd warned her earlier 😍

B&B near Pratovecchio Stia. This older property shows its age. It's not far from the town, but it's accessible only by car via a rough road (partly unpaved) and no signage. Only the exterior is beautiful, but it's only enjoyable during the warmer months.

Very large and welcoming rooms, 5-star service with honors and a very panoramic position.

Excellent family-run hotel. What you see from the cuisine was "Tagliatelle faii a mano con ragù bianco al grigio del Casentino" and, as a main course, "Tagliata al pepe verde con sformatino agli asparagi" (I forgot to take the snapshot after starting to eat) + a bottle of "vino sfuso" + dessert (I skipped the traditional Tuscan starters) = 25€. I definitely recommend it.

A very nice place, a little difficult to reach, but Barbara's hospitality is unique and makes up for it. The hotel is located on a hill and has underground parking. The breakfast is plentiful and filling. There's no elevator, so you'll need to carry your luggage to your room. The male receptionist at check-in was very humorous and helpful!

I believe at one point, some time ago, this was a 4 star “resort”. Not anymore. Our A/C did not work and they could not fix it while we were there. No real bar area and would have to give them a period of time to use the spa (to heat things up). Staff was friendly and did what they could.

My boyfriend and I came to do a tasting at this winery using a Smart Box voucher and we were very satisfied. The place is beautiful and we really enjoyed the guided tour + tasting. The hotel is a bit ways from the city of Florence, 20+ miles but close to the highway. Relatives to the hotel prices in Florence this was much less expensive since we had a rental car. Very clean place, nice size rooms and pretty good choices for breakfast included. The staff was very cordial and helpful and they do speak English good enough to convey the message.

As this was the 2nd time staying at this hotel we knew what the standard was, I would recement the Hotel Michelangelo for a stopover as it is well sited to the motorway going North or South with friendly and helpful staff.

We were driving from Venice to Rome and it was around Midnight so we decided to get a room. This was right off the highway so we booked it. The young man working at the desk was very kind and friendly and spoke English. He made sure we parked the car in a good location. The room was nice and clean.

The room was nice but small, but then again, most places in Italy are. The front desk was helpful. The room was clean and we had no problems. Breakfast was good and had choices like eggs, yogurt, juice, cereal and meat and cheese.

The staff were very friendly & helpful despite us both not speaking Italian! The apartment we had was spacious & very clean. Location great for driving to Chianti & train to Arezzo and Florence. Montevarchi itself had some great places to eat & nice friendly bars too, without being a busy tourist centre.
