The pool was unavailable despite being advertised. The road to the target is dangerous. No breakfast option. Cleanliness poor.
Expensive and the service was completely substandard. We were billed for an extra bed, even though nothing worked. Drains don't flush, we had to buy toilet paper ourselves. There was a charcoal grill, but no charcoal..
I do not recommend this accommodation to anyone!!

Beautiful location in the quiet hills 4 km from Dicomano. The road is, contrary to other reviews, very well accessible by a normal car (4x4 is not required, just keep cool and keep on driving until you hit beautiful Borgo
Macereto ;-) . Illaria is very nice and kind and helps you with everything! The wine is amazing! The pool is large and very clean. It’s a 45 - 90 minute drive from several of the main attractions in Toscane. Also very worthwhile to drive up the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi and visit some waterfalls. No foreign tourists around there :-) Great restaurants and agriturismos with vineyards in the area. The rooms are very clean and the atmosphere is authentic. We, a family of 5 with 3 kids, warmly recommend Borgo Macereto!

We booked a wine tasting at Borgo Macereto while staying in Chianti in July. Our Airbnb host recommended it. We had such a lovely time with Ilaria learning about the property and the wines. She made a beautiful spread of charcuterie, fruit, bruschetta and homemade jams. It felt very special because it was just us and she made it feel very special. We bought honey and olive oil and shipped a case of wine back home to nyc. We had such a lovely morning at Borgo Macereto. Thank you, Ilaria!

A very cozy toscanian location.
👍🏻: Very clean and very quitet. The pool is a little bit cold but excelent for a hot summer. The views are awesome.
👎🏻: You need a SUV to get there, the road is a little bit dangerous. The kitchen doesn’t has esential condiments like oil, salt, sugar.

A good place with air conditioning in each room, you have to go to the town a bit, but there are nice views and a large swimming pool. The worst thing to do is to sit a mosquito on the ceiling, you will not find it

A beautiful very clean Agritour. However, the road there is a bit adventurous and a 4x4 car is recommended. The view is stunning, the pool a bit small but very pleasant. The apartments are lovingly and superbly furnished. Kitchen is really well equipped. Outdoor grill and even a fireplace in the living room. The Agritour also produces its own wine and oil... Tastings are also offered free of charge. Highly recommended.

Many thanks to wonderful hosts for a wonderful stay in an unusual place. Kindness, hospitality and selfless help in a critical misfortune are invaluable. If someone wants to spend a vacation in a beautiful place away from the city noise, reset, use the local wine and olive oil, and at the same time enjoy the charms of nearby Florence, Borgo Macereto is a great choice. We were here in April, but we will probably come back at the end of summer for another holiday, another and another ...
