THE WORST NIGHTMARE.
In the check in the receptionist first refused talk in any language only in Italian, and tried to charge us double the price compared to what was shown on their own website This was excused with "Oh, i thought you wanted a superior room". The relationship with my wife was questioned i.e. implying if she wasn't a one night stand. Luckily a more kind lady came to the rescue and smoothed things out.
Apparently its a condition that you need to be able to speak Italian in order to get served decently. What will be of the hotels in Italy if don't have so many tourists for expend money in hotels, restaurants and attractions? A receptionist working in a 4☆ hotel claiming not to speak English !?

After we check in and stayed one night in this hotel, we check out and drove to Rome.When we arrived in Rome (3 hours driving) me and my husband realised we forgot our passports in the Plaza Hotel in Peruggia. We immediately called the hotel and the same receptionist picked the call, i asked if they found the passaport. The receptionist said they didn't found nothing. We were sure the passport were there. We were in panic because we will have another intercontinental flight, a rental car to return, etc... I call the receptionist asking again and again (5 times), i sent a email with my phone nr, whatsapp, etc and she always said they didn't found. All phone calls were performed in Spanish and Italian and she still refusing speak English.
We drove back to Peruggia to report this to the carabinieri. Underway I called more times, imploring for she ask a cleaning lady or look again in the room, because we were sure they were there. Only after my last call and where I said I was going there with the police she sent a email saying they found our passports (even she had our Cell Nr) This woman refused to speaks English and act with racism (Distinction made on nationality, which is an infraction on EU-laws) since our check in in this hotel.
Once arrived at the Carabinieri Station and a phone call from the duty officer, the passaport like magic showed up miraculously...i will not say she tried to stolen our passports because I don't have a prove of this, but the whole situation in this hotel with the same person was strange, rude and unacceptable, specially in this case where we needed pay one more day for the rental car and for changed our flight because we lost our flight after all this happened. After all of this i Felt humiliated, disappointed, disrespect and a victim of a Racism and Xenofobia.
