Hotel Trovatore in Lido di Jesolo

The owner of the hotel is very unkind, rude and insulting and yells at mysteries, a terrible place I would not recommend to anyone, we booked a room with a dog's permit, which of course was the first time in that place and he barked a little, he kicked us out of the hotel in the evening so we had to find another accommodation. A very rude person and he shouted so much that we couldn't stand it anymore and we left the same hour from there I don't recommend you to go with the dog because the owner is capable of hitting a man he is so rude and nervous very unpleasant place

First of all, we’ve chosen this hotel because of the fact that they allow pets. We paid 102€/night which is not cheap given the fact that this was in the middle of July which is not the peak season. Let’s start at the beginning, the services offered were:
- free breakfast
- Free wifi
- Parking space
- Beach lounge with umbrella
- Tv satellite
- Mini fridge
- Air condition
From the outside it looks fine. It has a bar which offers drinks (we never got anything from it) and nice chairs to relax and to look at this “busy street full of tourist?” right in front. Inside the hotel, the “loby” is part reception hall - part bar. The hall’s floor to the rooms are made of moquette and on top of it are big floor mats that can trip you off if you’re not careful where you’re walking.
Inside the room you can find 2 single beds put together. I didn’t have problem with it since I’m 5’2”, but my husband who’s a 6’3”, can’t fit in the bed. The balcony has a table, 2 chairs and a clothes rack which you can use to put wet swimsuits or towels after going to the beach. From the balcony you have a nice view of the “busy street full of tourists” and the restaurants/pubs that closes at 2am in the morning. The door to the balcony DOESN’T ISOLATE NOISE AT ALL. It’s as if you’re sleeping in front of the crowd, hearing all the noise from the restaurants or people passing by. Our last night was terrible because there was a storm coming and we can literally hear the wind banging on the windows and since I’m a light sleeper, I didn’t sleep at all. The mini fridge which we filled up with drinks and water was useless since it didn’t chill our drinks. The wifi was slow. The beach lounge chair with umbrella was nice. The TV was small and was put in an angle which made it hard to watch. There were not enough channels to watch but we didn’t mind since we just watched netflix. The air condition has its own mind that if you put it to 25 degrees it’s freezing and if put 27 degrees it’s hot.
The parking space is not what you’ll have in mind. It’s not right at the hotel. it’s located at a parking lot 2 blocks away which is at least a 100 meters from the hotel.
THE BREAKFAST, I don’t know how to describe it. There are not enough variety of food to choose from. In the dinning area you’ll find 2 “waiters”, one doesn’t understand neither english nor italian while the other one handles the food without gloves (given we’re still in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic). The brioche is something I can find at the supermarket and I can make better cappuccino at home, if I paid 102€ per night, I would expect better food and services for breakfast.
Let’s talk about the personnel in the hotel. Rude staff. I’d expect that the personnel are at least professional or courteous not someone who would greet me with a frown whenever I enter or someone who would be offended if I ask a receipt for my payment.

The only thing that I like about this hotel is the location. It’s near the beach. That’s it.

Cheap but still not worth it.
Everything felt below average, especially the food, the environment, the furniture and hospitality of the staff.

Pros:
•Semi renovated rooms (floors only), which make them look more clean and fresh.
•Dinner or lunch included in the price are actually pretty good. Big portions and vary every day (a part from the buffet which is pretty much the same every day, fresh and cooked vegetables, rice, eggs..). They usually make you choose from a menu with 4-5 options in the main dishes and seconds. (Lasagna, pasta with home made tomato sauce, bolognese, soup.... and seconds they have omelette, meat, fish..)
•from the staff, a blond lady that works there was the nicest person ever!!
Cons:
•Staff is very cheap and try everything to make you pay extra things. Also the two brother Marco and the other one are very rude and not nice to their guests sometimes... and honestly I work in tourist properties as well and it’s really not hard to be nice to people, you know?
•at the beach you only have 1 umbrella and 2 beds included even if you booked a room for 5 people
•breakfast is no good (a part from the croissants) and I once saw the waiter pick up Bread that fell on the floor and putting it back in the Basket -.-
This being said I liked the place overall but just because I went with my family, if you are a couple and want to have (I’m not saying a dreamy luxury experience) a nice experience I wouldn’t really recommend it
