This is our second time visiting Naeba, and while the hotel is a bit older, it's incredibly convenient for families with kids. They have everything you need: restaurants, a convenience store, and shops selling ski gear. The ski resort is right at the hotel's doorstep, which is super handy, and if you're lucky, you might even catch some powder snow. It's also easy to get to the nearby Kagura ski resort

It's a very large hotel with complete facilities.The room was quite small, like most hotels in Japanese cities. Recommend ,,,,,

A big old hotel with everything you need. A proper ski in and out facilities. A lot of food choices with reasonable prices. Eventhough the hotel is old, everything is clean and well maintained. Free shuttle from Echigo Yuzawa Station is a plus too.

If you want true ski in ski out , then I would recommend this hotel. The lifts are just just 50 meters outside the hotel buildings and they lockers for each room to keep your gears, which is very convenient. As for breakfast the spread is acceptable for the price charged. The rooms are rather small and I found some dusts on the furnitures. It would be better if the reception staff can speak better...

The environment was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. I look forward to staying here again next year.

It has been an amazing place to spend with families , kids facilities and ski areas are very close to the compound and have 2 open onsen . They provide free shuttle to downtown echigo -yuzawa station

Very satisfied with our stay at Angel Grandia Hotel. The ski-in, ski-out access made skiing extremely convenient, and moving from the ski area into the hotel never felt cold. The room was warm and comfortable at night. The staff and shuttle bus attendants were friendly and helpful, and having a FamilyMart inside the hotel was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the ski slopes, which is incredibly convenient. The nearest ski resort doesn't have many runs, mostly beginner-friendly, perfect for leisurely and family ski trips. Plus, the larger Yuzawa Nakazato ski resort is only about a 10-minute walk away. The room is outdated style of Japanese room design. When we reach the Echigo Yuzawa station there are no more JR train at 21.45 at nite, we have to take a taxi to the hotel. The transportation is a big issue as the hotel shuttle last bus is at 4.30pm. Good point is children can play snow just doorstep outside hotel. Stayed there for two nites which is enough to explore. Not much tourist was found there...

Coming out of the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen Station, there's a free shuttle service that runs every 10 minutes or so in the morning, and every 20-30 minutes in the afternoon. We went to Naspa new Otani hotel for purpose of skiing. I wanted a complete ski resort close to town. The rooms were big with a bath. The hotel also has a great onsen. We arranged our ski gear rental at the hotel ski shop and had a private ski lesson. The ski instructor Simon was great and effective at turning me from first time to confident beginner. I heard there were bears around, but I didn't encounter any. The hotel is really big, with great facilities, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Definitely recommend staying here.

One of the nicest hotels we stayed in Japan. We had stayed in a traditional japanese room with Futon beds with an amazing view, compared to some hotels stayed in Tokyo, staff here were so kind, patient and helpful. We had come here to Ski which was wonderful as the resort comes with its own ski garden and lift passes which we were given (so generous and kind thank you!), there is also a lovely onsen...

The hotel is very close to the ski resort, right outside the door. I booked a Japanese-style room, but you have to make your own bed. Maybe the staff could help, but they didn't say anything! No bottled water, you have to buy your own.

Really convenient location near the JR station. Staff are super friendly with some Chinese speaking staff at the front desk. The breakfast is super yummy and well prepared. Some facilities are a bit older but still very clean.

We r Hongkongers staying for several nights, checked out on 7 Mar 2026, we personally think that this is a great hotel and the price is very good all the "required" facilities / services are there, the outdoor spa, staff help u make up beds everynight, help u make up rooms, there is ski rental very cheap price for hotel guess we ordered both meals (breakfast + dinner), saved us lots of time wondering...

The hotel is pity old but the location is convenient, the rental shop outside the hotel is highly recommended, they were nice and provided free ride for us to the ski resort.

The room was beautiful and had a lovely Japanese aesthetic. All the staff were very friendly. As a skier, I really appreciated that the ski shop on the slope offered ski and boot storage, as well as waxing services for a fee. The shuttle bus to the ski resort right down the hill was super convenient.

The buffet was a bit pricey. The slope was a bit scary, almost slipped. The hot spring was great, large, and beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable.

I've stayed here many times! The service is excellent, and you really feel at home. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot springs every day, which was wonderfully relaxing. They also offer complimentary amazake daily, which is delicious. The free lockers for luggage are a huge convenience. Plus, it's incredibly close to the station – practically right outside!

The hotel is visible right after exiting the west gate of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. You have to walk up a short slope to reach it. The hotel's hot spring was incredibly comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious! They even offered free amazake and coffee in the afternoon.

Pretty decent hotel . Not the best rooms but a good place to stay if you wanna be right at the ski slopes for a good price . The location is good. You can ski right away when you get out of the hotel. However, the room is…somewhat okay. Our room was a Japanese style room with bathtub and toilet in one room. At first, they gave us the room without a bathtub, which was not we reserved. Talked to the front desk staff, showed the confirmation email and then they changed our room. Friendly people, basic coffee and good you can get near the ski area.

The lift is right in front of the hotel, making it a great location for visitors to Iwahara Ski Resort. This time, I only used the restroom, not stayed overnight... But the staff were still very helpful. There are old-fashioned table games, giving it a very Showa-era feel, but it is well-maintained. The restroom I used was also clean.

Rooms are good. But meal is not so good.

Meals were delicious and enjoyable. Hotel is a bit run down and little sound proofing you can hear laughing and talking of people outside your room. The hot springs also face bullet train station. Expensive, not really worth the price.

We are not allowed to wear our own shoes once we enter the lobby. If we are expected to walk bare feet, maybe the hotel should consider providing guest with indoor slippers. It is very uncomfortable walking to the restaurants barefeet as no matter how clean they keep the floors, there’s bound to be food spills and oily surfaces. Breakfast and Dinner are great, just need more variety for guests staying...

The location of hotel is close to JR station and some ski equipment rental shop. Hotel staff are friendly but some are not able to communicate in English fluently. We reserved a room included dinner and breakfast with various choice. They also provided free saki during dinner session. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will be back in future.

I'd noticed this onsen hotel last year while skiing at GALA. It's really convenient, right on the hot spring street, and a very traditional Japanese onsen hotel.
