Where to stay in Yuzawa

Its a very complete ski resort hotel with so many restaurants to choose from and the the service is impeccable. The slopes are amazing. Can spend up to a week here.

The place is perfect if you are going for ski but other than that if it’s green/off season you have nothing else to do but sleep do onsen. I might go back again but I will make sure during winter season. Room wise it’s bigger than Tokyo hotels.

The Hotel Green Plaza Joetsu is a European-inspired hotel in the Japanese mountains. The area is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the hotel is a little difficult to get to, and shuttles don't run too often.

This place has everything needed to enjoy skiing, from several restaurants, ski rental facilities to 30 seconds distance to the ski lifts.

We’re very happy to stay in this ski resort, it’s easy to access from Echigo-Yazawa station by their hotel shuttle bus. It also has direct access to ski garden/ ski centre for the ski patrons. Would like to stay here next time.

It's really nice and very detail hotel, they even ask me is there anything of food that I can't eat. It's my first time to consider about my needs and difference. Love the private hot spring onsen! Will definitely go back again! Staff were nice and helpful too! When we checkout they offered a ride to the station! Saved us walking in the rain with heavy luggages. Location is good, only a few mins walk to the station and has a few restaurants nearby. If renting the ski or snowboard stuff, also a few mins walk to these local shops.

The main feature of this stay for me was the hot springs. Being able to sit in the onsen with a view of the mountains was truly unique. The private sauna was also very nice. This ryokan is a fantastic place to get away from modern life for a few days and relax. The food is also very high quality, although the nature of some of the more traditional dishes takes some adjusting of the palette.

Hotel with walk-in onsen for non guests. 1000Yen per adult. There's one smaller indoor onsen and a slightly larger open air but sheltered onsen which I would recommend. There's only 4 shower facilities for the onsen, so if it's busy, you may have to wait your turn but aside from that the water temperature was perfect after a long day shredding the mountain.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. If you come here for ski, the hotel has equipment rental and free shuttle bus to nearby resorts. There’s also laundry machine and free drinks. By the way, the dinner is very delicious.
