The ski resort is right at the hotel's doorstep, which is super handy, and if you're lucky, you might even catch some powder snow. It's also easy to get to the nearby Kagura ski resort

A big old hotel with everything you need. A proper ski in and out facilities. A lot of food choices with reasonable prices. Eventhough the hotel is old, everything is clean and well maintained

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel provides a shuttle bus from Echigo Yuzawa station therefore it is very convenient via Shinkansen from Tokyo

There were stains on the couch back rest and the mattress. The sheet for the mattress was too small it didn’t cover the stained mattress. The beds were hard and didn’t feel clean. The shower curtain had a bad odor

This is our second time visiting Naeba, and while the hotel is a bit older, it's incredibly convenient for families with kids. They have everything you need: restaurants, a convenience store, and shops selling ski gear

The Annex Building's onsen had a good view to the nearby mountains. Lastly, this was a very good hotel and the price was really value for money too. I would seriously consider returning next time! Recommended place!

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the ski slopes, which is incredibly convenient. The nearest ski resort doesn't have many runs, mostly beginner-friendly, perfect for leisurely and family ski trips

It has been an amazing place to spend with families , kids facilities and ski areas are very close to the compound and have 2 open onsen . They provide free shuttle to downtown echigo -yuzawa station

The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from Echigo-Yuzawa, which is very convenient. The accommodation and food were also good. We had a delightful ski holiday

Plus, the larger Yuzawa Nakazato ski resort is only about a 10-minute walk away. Guests also get discounts at various ski resorts and ski rental shops

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the food is superb. However, it's a shame that the hotel is only for two-ski boarding

Location wasn't the best but they made up for it with frequent shuttle bus services. Tip top 5-star service and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Definitely worth the price.

Coming out of the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen Station, there's a free shuttle service that runs every 10 minutes or so in the morning, and every 20-30 minutes in the afternoon

We had an amazing time at NASPA New Otani — this hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Yuzawa, especially for a winter getaway! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home from check-in to check-out

We had come here to Ski which was wonderful as the resort comes with its own ski garden and lift passes which we were given (so generous and kind thank you!), there is also a lovely onsen onsite for hotel guests to use (free)

This is a hotel I'd definitely stay at again. It's super close to Yuzawa Station, just a 3-minute walk away. All the good restaurants in town are basically right around here

Good service, free coffee, ramen and ice cream. Also their onsen very very very niceee, enjoy alot when staying there!

The hot spring was fantastic; the public bath was already so relaxing, and the private baths were even better – free and no reservation needed! Breakfast was also delicious, though the portions were a bit small

The room was really comfortable, and they even provided freshly ground coffee and a great selection of tea sets so you could brew your own

And there's free late-night ramen available, which tasted amazing

We are not allowed to wear our own shoes once we enter the lobby. If we are expected to walk bare feet, maybe the hotel should consider providing guest with indoor slippers

Just over an hour from Tokyo by bullet train, I discovered this wonderful inn where you can easily enjoy exquisite course meals and fantastic hot springs—it truly feels like arriving in a paradise! Though nestled in the mountains, it's close to the bullet train station

Really convenient location near the JR station. Staff are super friendly with some Chinese speaking staff at the front desk. The breakfast is super yummy and well prepared

We r Hongkongers staying for several nights, checked out on 7 Mar 2026, we personally think that this is a great hotel and the price is very good all the "required" facilities / services are there, the outdoor spa, staff help u make up beds everynight, help u make up rooms, there is ski rental very cheap price for hotel guess we ordered both meals (breakfast + dinner), saved us lots of time wondering...

The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Both breakfast and the traditional kaiseki dinner were beautifully prepared with great attention to detail, and absolutely delicious

The open-air onsen was truly a highlight, offering breathtaking, million-dollar views that made the experience even more special

The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it's not a problem if you don't book breakfast or dinner at the hotel

I've stayed here many times! The service is excellent, and you really feel at home. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot springs every day, which was wonderfully relaxing

As a skier, I really appreciated that the ski shop on the slope offered ski and boot storage, as well as waxing services for a fee. The shuttle bus to the ski resort right down the hill was super convenient

Although the road was a bit slippery, I arrived at the hotel and checked in without a hitch. The breakfast was plentiful, and there are two free public hot springs and a private one (reservations required)

The food was also great; the breakfast was varied and delicious, especially the miso soup – it was exceptionally good. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time! 🤭

Even though the hotel is a bit old, it's very clean and the service is excellent. The gentleman at the front desk was a little slow, but extremely polite and patient

I highly recommend the traditional Japanese tatami rooms – they're spacious, have fantastic views, and I even got lucky enough to capture a photo of the 'sun-kissed golden mountain'! Plus, the hotel offers a dedicated shuttle service to and from the station at set times, and their dinner was unexpectedly superb

We had a private room for our Japanese meal, which was both refined and delicious. There are over 10 types of hot springs (onsen) available, and they were clean and not crowded. All in all, I highly recommend this place

There are four onsen baths on the 6th and 7th floors, each with both indoor and outdoor pools. The two onsen on the 6th floor even have special medicinal baths, which were so relaxing

The staff were all incredibly attentive; even with their limited English, they went out of their way to help me with all my questions

I stayed in the hotel 10 years ago, and this time the hotel is as good as it used to be, room is large and tidy, and the service is also great.

It snowed heavily while we were there and the staff are super attentive - they asked where we were headed to and suggested for comfort, that we wear the hotel's rain boots as they knew my partner's shoe wasn't waterproof/suitable to walk through the snow

There is a lounge with coffee/tea in the mornings and alcohol and snacks in the evening. There is also a playroom (suitable for infants to 6years old). Service is top notch, everyone is so helpful and friendly

7 eleven right next to the train station and New Days inside the train station. We loved every single thing about this charming lovely hotel and we will definitely be back if we are in Echigo Yuzawa

and also we have a private servce going to ski resort and go back to hotel and to station and the rental area is so cheap the food is good only i can say the fish is maybe frozen thats why not fresh and the meat not good but all of that it was great experince staying very nice affordable nice viewing and quite place thankyou sakura tei

Service was absolutely amazing! The two young girls at the front desk from Nagoya spoke really good English and was very helpful. The staff also helped me arrange shuttle to get to the train station very easily

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. If you come here for ski, the hotel has equipment rental and free shuttle bus to nearby resorts. There’s also laundry machine and free drinks

Must arrange for shuttle bus pick up to/from Echigo Yuzawa station because you'll need their help to cross the snow with your luggage while you walk through the tunnel

It wasn't until October that we finally focused on Echigo-Yuzawa. Searching around the train station, trying to find ski resorts and accommodations suitable for beginners within a limited budget was incredibly difficult

After repeatedly searching on Google Maps, I unexpectedly discovered a cluster of guesthouses nestled in the heart of the resort. One of the businesses had a friendly Chinese website

We traveled from Australia and it was the best ryokan in 2weeks travel in Japan. The room had a great view of yuzawa and mountains. The movie - yukiguni - was great but it could have been better with English caption

The movie experience offered by the hotel was a great addition and made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was also excellent: very nice, beautifully presented, and delicious

Friendly and responsive Mr Kinta. All are good, less commercial than the main hotel at resort, feel like home and cosy. Have laundry and cooking pantry, good fit for family stay

Kinta and his family are very great hosts. The breakfast every morning was a delight. Evening dinner meals were even better. All in all an absolutely top hotel experience

Mr. Kinta is in his 70s, strong and talkative; Hotel Kinta has big rooms, is not far from the ski resort, has complete ski equipment and delicious breakfast. I will go there again next time.

This place feels in between a hotel and a ryokan. We requested for a pick up from a ski hill using Whatsapp and it was seamless. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
