2 star hotels in Kitakyushu

I stayed at the same hotel for two nights. The double room was too noisy, so I switched to a single room. The single room wasn't facing the train station, so I barely heard the trains passing by, which was a relief. However, there were no disposable slippers in the room.

Advantages: Convenient, fast check in & check out Disadvantages: Never book the smoking room if you don’t smoke. The smell was insane. I wonder if they cleaned the room. Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Location was convenient, especially for travelers. Would recommend / Would stay again

My main purpose for this trip was to see the Tsuiki Air Show, so I casually booked this hotel next to the JR station. It was very convenient for getting around, the room had good soundproofing, and the front desk staff were enthusiastic and helpful. I was very satisfied.

Hotel is very close to the kokura station. Very accessible and close to shopping area. Will definitely stay again due to low price and good location.

Check in must be exactly after 3pm, not even a minute early. Everything is transactional and impersonal such as not responsible for your luggage left at hotel after checked out. Although human receptionists are there but only direct guests to use machines to check in and out

It is located right in front of the ferry terminal connecting Mojiko Port and Karato, so although it is far from Shimonoseki, I think it has very good access to tourist spots.

The hotel is very old fashioned. The room is dated and small.  The staff is not helpful. Honestly, we won’t come back again.

The ocean/sea view from this hotel is MAGNIFICENT & BREATHTAKING! Location is FANTASTIC ... 3 mins walk to karato fish market. I would definitely come back here to stay even tho it is an older hotel & dated. But the rooms are clean & decent. Car park is free. One full day stay is enough as other than the fish market, sadly, the town is quite dead.

The room is not small, the location of the hotel is also very good, and you can see the beautiful scenery from the balcony.

If you're having dinner in Shimonoseki, this hotel is great! The food is close and the view from the window is amazing!!!

Even during the busy December season, you can stay here for as little as ¥3,800 per night. Online prepayment is available; however, Kitakyushu City’s accommodation tax must be paid separately in cash at the hotel (¥200). Including the tax, the total came to ¥4,000. Location not the best but walkable to most of the tourists places .. good value for a room , free coffee on t$3 ground floor, restaurant are around the hotel.

It's a little far from Kokura Station, but within walking distance, and it's close to the downtown area, so it's convenient. However, while it's convenient, be careful as there are groups of drunk people who shout strange things in the early hours of the morning. The hotel itself is well-equipped.

It's a bit of a walk from Kokura Station, but it's close to the food and drink district so it's a great place for bar hopping.

We stayed here for two with no meals included, but it was close to the city center and was spacious enough for just sleeping. It had all the basic amenities and was good value for money, so I'd like to stay here again if I come to Kokura.

The room is compact and fine for a one night stay. The walls are thin and the doors are thin so you can easily hear the sounds from the hallway and the neighboring rooms.

The staff and service are fantastic. The service is excellent, and the value for money is fantastic. It was a little disappointing that the jetted bath in the large public bath was out of service and the waterfall shower didn't come out even when I pressed the button, but the excellent staff and service made up for the lack of facilities.

Although it's an old facility, it's clean and well-maintained. The friendly service is definitely top-notch. The complimentary draft beer and ice cream were even better. The view of Kanmon Bridge from the room was also excellent.

The room was nice, with a view of the Kanmon Strait Bridge (partially). It's close to the entrance and exit of the Kanmon Strait Tunnel, making it convenient for commuting to and from Shimokanmonji. There's a hot spring bath for relaxation, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast was rich and delicious, with free beer and ice cream.

Front desk staff are nice. Reception only opens till 12midnight, we almost couldn’t check-in as we’d arrived late. Some strange smell from the toilet, but overall the room is clean.

It is just opposite to Danguo Market, and the dining area is opposite to Danguo Station. The hardware equipment is a bit old, and the breakfast is quite ordinary, but the dining area is very Japanese drama-like. It wins in terms of cost performance.

It is within walking distance from Kokura Station, and is right in front of the monorail's Tangaichiba Station, so it is easily accessible. It was perfect for a solo traveler or someone just staying overnight.

It was a great place to stay. Small bathroom, but average space room. It was a comfy bed with window behind. It was neither cold not hot at night. Amenities were nice. Just pick everything up on the second floor.

The room is very small and there are not enough sockets, but it's only over 400 during holidays, what else can I say.

The rooms are a little old, but they are well-cleaned and have good security. One of the hotel's special features is that you can get free rice balls in the dining room until 9am. The woman at the front desk is very friendly and polite. It's a very warm place.

I stayed at this hotel twice, at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, when I returned home to Kyushu from Kanagawa. I stayed there on my motorcycle, and the hotel has a covered parking lot, so I would especially recommend it for motorcyclists. Located in Kitakyushu City, this hotel was very flexible and comfortable. There were a lot of free things and announcements on how to get points. Usually, you have to pay for TV, but it was free! Great bed and surprised big washroom(compared to other Japanese hotel at this price). No view from guest room and lobby and a little far from station. But the Mejiko retro observation room beside the port only cost 300 so as a place for a rest it’s totally well worth.

The overall room was nice and clean! The bath area was especially comfortable. The welcome drink service was great, and it was also nice that we could go out like in a regular hotel. I'd like to stay here again.
