Kitakyushu, 1-4-11 Komemachi Kokurakita-ku 🧭 Map
An excellent business-class hotel located in the heart of Kitakyushu (Kokura), walkable from JR Kokura station and to many dining and shopping options. Quiet and comfortable day or night, excellent front desk staff, rooms with city views available, fast Internet (wired and wireless), clean rooms.
The rooms themselves were actually really nice. The only issue was that a group of guys on my floor kept knocking on each other's doors and chatting loudly in the hallway, which was quite annoying. On the plus side, the onsen and the new main building were very conveniently connected.
Hotel is near the station. Room is enough to accommodate one person.
Loved the big bath onsen, that has a sauna.
Many eateries around the hotel. Shopping mall is just next to it.
Loves the breakfast.
I use Kokura as a base to visit shimonoseki, mojito port.
Great stay!
Very near to Kokura Train Starion. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Public onsen is a plus point.
Very close to main train station and walkable to everything, including restaurants etc. room is clean and comfortable. Everything is good.
The hotel is near the JR station, but the gotel is old and have a bad smell which doesn't looks like the photo provided.

Great view with great service.
It was a nice place to relax 🤗
We booked a 3-bed room for one night. The location was excellent—right next to the subway station—and the outlet was also nearby.
The reception staff were very helpful. In particular, the receptionist assisted us in booking a French restaurant. As you may know, Japan often requires reservations 1–2 days in advance, but she managed to secure a table for us on the same night.
The hotel also offered...
We booked one night in this hotel. The room size is as stated , very spacious with a beautiful view of the city, the room can even sleep for 3 persons. Toilet is clean although it’s an old style and design with a bathtub.
Breakfast have western and Japanese food , eggs have a few ways to cook and will deliver to your table after order. Service is good.
This hotel is next to the train station...
Reception at 4 pm was slow and it was necessary for several guests to wait for the two reception people even though they had three other people greeting guests.
The nearby Shinkansen station provides easy access to the hotel which is an easy 5-10 minutes walk.
Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good especially in the cold weather. Rooms are a good size and in good condition with above...
This hotel is excellent! The room is spacious, and the bathroom is huge. The night view from the window is beautiful. It's right next to Kokura Station, which makes getting around super convenient. Breakfast was also very good and plentiful. I would definitely stay here again.
If I hadn't stayed at a Hilton previously, I probably would have thought this place was quite good. However, compared to the Hilton, the facilities here feel a bit dated, which is understandable given it's an older hotel. The location is excellent though, with plenty of dining options nearby. It's very convenient for both driving and using public transport. Getting to Kitakyushu Outlet and Shimonoseki...

Kitakyushu, Ku Kajicho 1-9-8 🧭 Map
A place brimming with humanity and incredibly friendly.
However, the facilities are dated. If you want a retro, bubble-era Japanese hotel experience, this is the place to go.
Good hotel for reasonable price
The location is convenient, there is a parking lot next to it
The hotel provides general personal items such as shampoo, shower gel and toothbrush.

I stayed here because I had a live show at the West Japan General Exhibition Center.
It was very close to the venue, and about a 10-minute walk from Kokura Station, so the location was great!!
There was a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby, and next to them was a reasonably priced izakaya!
The bath wasn't really big enough to be called a large public bath, but it was very nice!
Apparently if you write...
The hotel was good value for money and breakfast and dinner were provided, so I ate and rested very well.~~ The room was spacious and the building looked a little old, but the room was clean, so it was nice.~~
good room which is a walk from the station, with sento as well

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was just the right height. There was a shuttle to the airport, but it was within walking distance. The curry for dinner, early breakfast, and breakfast were all sufficient. I would definitely stay here again.
Very convenient for people who pass theough the airport, close to walk or take their shuttle. Also close to car rental shops. A bid of noise on the corridors from other guests, but the hotel was good. Breakfast was also nice.
Very good stay, very pleasant staff, very good location close to the airport, very clean and comfortable room, full breakfast buffet and delicious, I really enjoyed my stay. I strongly recommend this hotel, I would come back😊
It's very close to the airport. Since there are no convenience stores nearby, they provide curry rice during dinner time, which is great.
The overall accommodation experience is very satisfactory, the environment is clean, and the configuration of Toyoko INN is familiar and comfortable. Self-service check-in is convenient and foreigner-friendly. Convenient transportation and smooth connections. The facilities are complete, including washing machines, vending machines, microwave ovens, and the meals are also good. It is worth recommending
Most of Toyoko Inn were old.

Its one of the better budget hotels I've gotten, decent room, good service and ok facilities. Would be good if there was coffee/tea available throughout the day rather than a few hours at a time, there's also no water cooler. No issues with the room, quite spacious for the price.
The hotel is situated conveniently in kokura. Best parking is the right besides the hotel at 700 yen per night. Walking distance to Tanga market and Lopia.
This is an older hotel, but it's very well-maintained. The breakfast, public bath, and location are all excellent. I would highly recommend it, even for solo travelers.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Kokura Station, which is manageable even with luggage. While it's an older building with somewhat dated facilities, the cleanliness is impeccable, typical of Japanese hotels. The lobby staff are polite and friendly, and the large public bath on the first floor is perfect for unwinding after a day of travel. The complimentary cold barley tea available in the lobby...
It seems to offer good value for money. The breakfast was also enjoyable, even for Korean guests.
Excellent value for money. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained and quite comprehensive, even boasting a spacious public bath. The breakfast quality significantly exceeds what you'd typically find at this price point. The only minor drawbacks are the noticeable price fluctuations and its slightly inconvenient distance from Kokura Station.

small standard APA room. The check in / check out process is fairly streamlined.
Note that there is no concierge.
No frill, small but clean room. Like macdonald's, you pay for a standard efficient but minimalist service and room size.
Great location to walk around downtown and to go visit castle nearby. I like how it's not inside the downtown area so that I can avoid heavy pedestrian traffic. Love APA for standardized, know what to expect type of deal and amenities. Thanks!
It is a 3-minute walk from Kokura Station and the room condition is good, so I am very satisfied.
Convenient location, close to train station. Staff were nice and helpful . Air conditioner temperature could not be controlled, it was central AC. Cleaning have to be improved. Facility needs maintenance.
This is my go to hotel when I am in Kitakyushu. It is so close to the station and always has a good rate. The breakfast is good as well. Always clean and welcoming staff.

The location was ideal for my work trip. Fuss-free inn with unmanned reception after midnight. If you are travelling with family, I'd suggest staying around Kokura area where the hotels have bigger rooms.
Close to JR, perfect for Kitakyushu outlet and Mount Sarakura
Had a great stay on this hotel👍👍 it’s near from Kurosaki main station
I stayed here on a business trip. It was close to the station and there were many shops nearby, so it was a very convenient hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly 😊 The night view from the room was also beautiful.
It was directly connected to Kurosaki Station and in a very convenient location.
The fact that it has a large public bath was what made me decide to book!
I could see Mt. Sarakura from my room and had a great time.

every thing was good condition. and you can enjoy for onsen on 1st floor with free.
Stayed one night for a business trip. I was looking for an inexpensive stay. While it was a bit farther out of the way than I normally like, the room was comfortable and clean. Check in/out was quick and easy as I had made the reservation online a week earlier. I can't speak about the surrounding area except to say the hotel was a bit off the main roads through the area, so took a bit of navigating...
Reception is helpful in getting us a carpark lot.
The rooms are clean, the food is good, and the front desk is friendly.
I stayed at Hotel Route Inn Kitakyushu and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is convenient, especially for travelers who want easy access to transportation and nearby dining options. The room was compact but well-equipped with the essentials, kept clean, and comfortable for a short stay.
The hotel offers complimentary breakfast with a decent variety of both Japanese and Western dishes...
The humidity in the room was high, and perhaps due to the humidity, the room smelled bad.
I didn't notice this when I stayed there before, so it may be a hit or miss situation.
The breakfast is always delicious.
There are many dishes that I like, so I end up eating too much.
If you try to make a reservation at the last minute, you may not be able to get one, so make sure to make your reservation early

Close to train station. No on-sight parking, but commercial parking available very close. Hotel provides parking pass after checkin. Don’t pay for parking first.

The quality of the hotel was enough for one night. There was amenities, bathtub, and a TV. It is located right in front of Shimonoseki Station which is great.

Breakfast wasn't our cup of tea but locals seemed to like it
I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very kind, and the location is excellent.
Convenient,3 min walk to the JR station.
International ferry terminal to Busan is also close.
Friendly helpful staff,clean comfortable room..
Simple but good japanese breakfast. Good value. Recommended
It was an amazing experience in staying this hotel. The most impressive one was staff. They were so kind. I felt like staying in my neighborhood. This hotel provided a breakfast which was simple but has good taste and was enough for starting fir the day. I absolutely stay here again when I will visit this area.
It's conveniently located within 5 minutes from Shimonoseki Station. There are yakitori restaurants, izakayas, and convenience stores nearby, making it convenient.
Since there were no non-smoking rooms, I had no choice but to reserve a smoking room.
The smell of cigarettes was very strong, from the hallways to the inside of the room...
If you're not a smoker, I recommend only booking a non-smoking...
It was great because it was a smoking room. The large bathhouse had hot and cold water, and a sauna, so I was very satisfied. The location was also good because it was right in front of the station, and the restaurants nearby were good.

Excellent location. The staff are well trained with very good service. The room is small for Japanese standard but extremely clean.
Hotel located near train terminal and a lot of restaurant nearby within walking distance. The receiptionist could speak English fluently which helps a lot for non-Japanese speaking guest. Hotel is normal which expects small but able to open a luggage at the room entrance area. Will recommend for its price and location.
The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from JR Kokura Station, which is quite convenient. The entrance is small, so be careful not to miss it. The hotel is a bit old. I booked a superior room, but the size still wasn't as large as those at other places like the Daiwa Roynet Hotels. The room had a massage chair, which took up space for me, though others might like it.
excellent Service good accommodation with Massage chair
Just the smoking room is truly smoked, but can’t complain since such convenience. Also have to say, all the reception ladies are very pretty and polite.
Overall, it is good; only the breakfast could be improved.

There was a sauna, midnight noodles, ice cream, and free drinks, and the room was very clean and wonderful.
The hotel is very affordable, and it has a hot spring on the rooftop. Late-night snacks, ice cream, and drinks are mostly free. Although it's a little far from the train station, it's still highly recommended.
Overall you can except the same service from this Dormy like any other
The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out!
But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient!
Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on...

Even before check-in, they were happy to store my suitcase and arrange for delivery of my luggage the next morning.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and I was able to stay with peace of mind!
I used it for my exam. It was nice that it included a meal. Parking was 800 yen and you could get in and out! It took 20-30 minutes to get to Kokura! I thought there would be four kinds of smoothies in the morning, but there were only two, which was disappointing😢 The meal was delicious😊
Quite small room. But good for business travel
I stayed here on a business trip. This is my fourth time staying here. The breakfast cereal and miso soup are delicious and cheap, so I think it's a great hotel!

Although it is a little far from the station, it is located on the street and is easy to find.
The room was small, and the bed was a bit small too. But it was enough, and the price was good. Compared to other Toyoko Inns, the location wasn't great; the convenience store was a block away. So I'd recommend the other two. I came here to watch the WTT game.
The breakfast was very average… you can skip it if you have a choice.
Eating this every day definitely won't make you fat.
I had a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was clean and convenient. The location was closer to Kokura Station than I expected. It was also an easy walk to Chachataen.
Standard Toyoko Inn. Normal room, breakfast, laundry machine, dryer, vending machine and so on. Nothing special but it is good.
The location is near JR Kokura Station. There are not many shops around. The twin room is quite large and has a bathtub. The buffet breakfast is good. The bustling area of Kokura Station is to the south.
The room was tiny; there wasn't even enough room to open a suitcase! Cleanliness needs improvement, as there was still a lot of hair left to clean! The refrigerator wasn't cooling properly! Slightly disappointing!

The rice balls for breakfast were delicious and there was a wide variety.
The receptionist wasn't very friendly. They initially gave me a room on the second floor, but the window was blocked by a wall, and insisted there were no other rooms available. After I insisted (otherwise I would cancel my booking), they changed me to a room on the 8th floor.
Although it's a little far from Shimonoseki Station, there's a bus stop nearby and buses to Karato Market run frequently, making it a convenient location for both sightseeing and business. There's a supermarket nearby, including a DAISO, so I had a comfortable stay. Breakfast is rice balls, which can be eaten in your room.
Due to circumstances, it is a hotel with excellent breakfast and cost-effectiveness that I would stay one more night. I was a little disappointed because there were less places to eat nearby than I thought.
The room was clean and it was easy to get to lots of places.

Excellent service with a full range of toiletries and skincare products. The healthy filtered sparkling water is said to have anti-inflammatory properties. Breakfast was healthy too.
Great value for money. Breakfast, public bath, self-service alcohol and drinks.

I’m a simple man. Stayed 2 nights. No complaints. Rooms are small but it’s a business hotel so not surprised. Would recommend if you’re not going to just sit in your hotel the whole time.
The hotel is extremely close to Shimonoseki Station, which makes it very convenient for a quick transit stop. Located by the water, the area is relatively quiet, but unfortunately, there aren’t many attractions nearby. Dining options are quite limited—there’s a small “Busan Street” with a few Korean restaurants and some old izakayas, but not much else. It’s okay for a one-night stay, though I wish...
It was clean and functional. The staff are polite and helpful. I forgot my drink in the fridge and checked out, but it was kept properly. Thank you for your support.
It is convenient near the station.
The rooms are not large, but the chairs have tires for easy movement, and the amenities are not disposable but environmentally friendly.
Breakfast can be selected from Japanese set meal, porridge, rice ball set, etc. (at check-in)
