The staff were very polite and accommodating! The downside was that the bed was hard and they did not provide any mineral water bottles. Overall, I had a great stay and I really enjoyed their public onsen!

An excellent business-class hotel located in the heart of Kitakyushu (Kokura), walkable from JR Kokura station and to many dining and shopping options

On the plus side, the onsen and the new main building were very conveniently connected

Room is enough to accommodate one person. Loved the big bath onsen, that has a sauna. Many eateries around the hotel. Shopping mall is just next to it. I use Kokura as a base to visit shimonoseki, mojito port

Onsen in hotel was amazing and it’s free. Carpark is cheaper than other hotels and very convenient. Very near city centre and staff was very friendly and helpful. I will use this hotel again.

Nice location with five to eight minutes walk from Station and also close to Kokura Castle and Peace Museum. The public bath is nice, although a bit too small with crowded guests.

My personal feeling is that the surcharge was a bit expensive for hotel guests. com or the hotel could offer a bundle package including the room charge plus sauna & spa access, that would be wonderful

Although I can’t remember the receptionist’s name, her attitude and assistance were greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Lastly, the sauna and spa required an extra charge

In particular, the receptionist assisted us in booking a French restaurant. As you may know, Japan often requires reservations 1–2 days in advance, but she managed to secure a table for us on the same night

The hotel also offered a special dinner set at each restaurant. We truly enjoyed the dinner set while watching the sunset and fireworks from the 28th floor. The food at the French restaurant was excellent

We booked a 3-bed room for one night. The location was excellent—right next to the subway station—and the outlet was also nearby. The reception staff were very helpful

Toilet is clean although it’s an old style and design with a bathtub. Breakfast have western and Japanese food , eggs have a few ways to cook and will deliver to your table after order

It was very close to the venue, and about a 10-minute walk from Kokura Station, so the location was great!! There was a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby, and next to them was a reasonably priced izakaya! The bath wasn't really big enough to be called a large public bath, but it was very nice! Apparently if you write a review you can extend your check-out time by one hour, which I did too! (From 10am...

The hotel is clean, comfortable and close to the station, but I was unlucky because the wifi network access in the room I was staying in was not very good.

Can't beat this hotel for the price. Allowed me to park my motorbike for free aswell. Very happy!

The hotel is at a prime location, close to the Kokura station, shopping malls, Kokura Castle, Tanga market, streets of bars…and there are two convenient stores downstairs so you don’t need to worry about getting hungry at midnight

The room was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable, especially by Japanese business hotel standards. The bed provided excellent support, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of travel

Overall, VIA INN SHIMONOSEKI offers exceptional value, comfort, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers and would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shimonoseki

The hotel is situated conveniently in kokura. Best parking is the right besides the hotel at 700 yen per night. Walking distance to Tanga market and Lopia.

Since the air conditioning units remote was in Japanese language , had bit of a trouble in getting the AC started. However this was immediately resolved by the staff at the front desk and the AC cooling was very good

The Hotel is located very close to the Wakamatsu Railway station. The area around the hotel is a very quiet area with few shops around. I arrived the hotel at around 2200 and by then all the shops around was closed

The hotel is very affordable, and it has a hot spring on the rooftop. Late-night snacks, ice cream, and drinks are mostly free. Although it's a little far from the train station, it's still highly recommended.

Very close to the Shimonoseki cruise terminal, about a 7-minute walk from Shimonoseki Station, take the elevator over the overpass~ Dormy late-night ramen and sauna pool, with a view of the Kanmon Strait

There was a sauna, midnight noodles, ice cream, and free drinks, and the room was very clean and wonderful.

The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out! But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient! Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on...

The spa is superb! defiantly recommend to go and relax and then have a bottle of milk from the vending machine XD The free ramen at night time is nice and staff is polite (though what do you expect since its Japan, everything and everyone is nice XD)

The view of the open air bath is the best. The late night food, ramen, yakult and popsicle are very good and the price is reasonable, so if you go to Shimonoseki, you will want to stay here again.

Nice room with good sound proof window as the hotel is on a major road across from the pier. Public bath (Onsen) on the top of the hotel (9th Floor) with a great view of the waterfront.

It's a bit of a walk from the station, but not so much that it's impossible to walk. There's no space to spread out the suitcase, but I was able to spread it out on the bed, so it was perfect for just sleeping

It was well cleaned and the bed was comfortable.

I ordered two, but I ended up eating one whole, head to tail. Water is provided at the start, but I was happy that iced coffee, hot and cold tea, and juices were available for self-service whenever I wanted

The public bath house is also nice and clean and you can enjoy the ocean view from there. It was so relaxing that we ended up taking a bath twice in a day(night and morning)

Since it was Sunday, the large public bath was full. The open-air bath faced the sea, with no obstructions, giving it a sense of openness and comfort

For lunch, in addition to the menu listed on the website, they also had sukiyaki. I had the "Large Shrimp Fried Set Meal," and the tough head shells had been removed, making the shrimp incredibly tender and delicious

There's also a small games corner near the bath, and whenever we stay here, my kids always spend at least 30 minutes playing UFO catcher. The food is also delicious, with lots of fresh seafood served

First time to visit here. The onsens were very relaxing. I had seen an episode on TV where they showed the men's outdoor bath and "打たせ湯." It's like a mini waterfall. It felt really good on my back and shoulders.

We were also able to go to the baths at the Grand Hotel. There was a waterfall bath and an open-air bath, so we were able to relax in them. The food was also very delicious, and the service was also good.
