Surprisingly good hotel with 2 proper twin sized beds and still plenty of room for 2 suitcases. Full sized bathtub and very good pressure and hot water.
Impressive breakfast spread with western including grilled steak and Italian pizzas plus a separateJapanese selection.
Very clean and also free coffee and soft drinks available whole day.

The service at the reception on the 18th floor and in the rooms was excellent, and the swimming pool and gym staff were also great. However, the service at the Wu Ren (懷石料理) and Italian Cava Nova restaurants was really lacking. For Wu Ren, which is supposed to be a top-tier kaiseki restaurant, the sommelier and the servers bringing dishes had poor English and seemed unwilling to communicate. It felt like they just wanted to drop off the food and leave, expecting guests to read the menu themselves. While this might be acceptable in other casual restaurants, is it the standard for a kaiseki establishment? The hotel should clarify if this is indeed their service protocol. The Italian restaurant was even worse – they offered virtually no service. They were initially friendly, but as soon as they heard English, they immediately said there were no tables available, shooed us away with a gesture, and turned their heads and walked off. The hotel also needs to confirm if this is their standard service procedure for this restaurant.

The Christmas tree in the lobby on the first floor was absolutely beautiful. The check-in area on the 6th floor was also very comfortable, and there was a great variety of free drinks available. The reception service was excellent, and the rooms were larger than most hotels. However, fully opening a 28-inch suitcase was a bit of a struggle. The room appeared clean, but there was a layer of mold on the inside of the sink. The toilet was old, and staying for three nights, they only made the bed on the first day and didn't even empty the trash. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor was extremely small, so if you go late, you'll probably have to queue. The food selection wasn't extensive, but the hotel's location is excellent. It's less than a five-minute walk to the subway station, and it's just one stop away from the Sakae and Nagoya areas. There's also an airport shuttle bus right across from the hotel, which is super convenient.

Cons:
Location: It's about a 4-stop bus ride or a 1-stop subway ride from Nagoya Station.
Noise: Motorcycles passing by at night were incredibly loud and disruptive. I'm not sure if it's because of single-pane windows or something else.

Pros:
Service: The service quality is comparable to a domestic five-star hotel in China.
Price: For around 700, the price is quite reasonable.
Room: The room environment and facilities are both pretty good.

I had a very satisfying stay. The airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel, offering direct service to the airport, which was incredibly convenient and saved me from having to navigate the subway. The hotel is located near Fushimi Station, making it easy to get around anywhere. The most bustling downtown areas like Nagoya and Sakae are just a station or two away. Around the hotel, there are Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores, as well as two fairly large drugstores. There are also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and beautiful, wide, comfortable, and very warm. For a Japanese hotel, the room size was excellent and definitely worth the price. The mini-fridge was restocked daily with various free drinks, which was a thoughtful touch. All the staff members were very friendly and patient. I booked both twin and king-size rooms, and both were excellent; I even felt the king-size room had a more practical layout. If I come back to Nagoya, I'd definitely choose this hotel again!

This hotel is excellent! This room type has a more modern style with a huge bed and a more comprehensive layout, like a small apartment you can just move into. It has everything from a washing machine to a kitchen, and the bathroom is also very spacious. I've experienced both room styles at this hotel, but stylistically, I actually prefer the retro one – the refined feel of old money.

The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance. Since I arrived early, the front desk attendant kindly offered to store my luggage. When I returned in the evening after exploring, I checked in. My room was on the 16th floor, as requested, and the bed was set up exactly how I wanted it. Despite facing the street, the room was incredibly quiet; I couldn't hear any noise from outside or the hallway.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 6-7 minute walk from Fushimi Station, which is only one stop away from both Nagoya Station and Sakae Station. The hotel exudes an old-money charm, but it's exceptionally well-maintained, elegant, and spotless. The staff greeted every guest warmly. The room was quite spacious, and having a walk-in closet was a great bonus. It was cleaned daily, and the mini-fridge drinks were complimentary. The toiletries were Bulgari.

Across from the hotel is Shimo-en Park, and the airport shuttle stop is right by the park, making it very convenient for families with multiple pieces of luggage or elderly members. Overall, the Nagoya Kanko Hotel left a profoundly positive impression on my trip to Nagoya.

I was in Nagoya for a business trip and stayed at this older hotel. Despite its age, it's still quite grand with excellent service. The room was incredibly spacious and the price was just right. They offer free parking, and you can enjoy Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine all within the hotel, so there's no need to go out for food.

I've been to Nagoya two or three times, and passed by this hotel several times. I never chose it before because I felt it had a somewhat heavy, dated vibe. This time, almost all hotels in Nagoya had significantly increased their prices, and this one happened to be a good value, so I stayed. Upon entering, I immediately felt the 'old money' aesthetic mentioned online. The staff greeted me proactively, and the hotel perfectly met my booking requests for a quiet room away from the elevator, which was great. The check-in lounge on the 6th floor felt quite luxurious, and my stored luggage had already been placed in the room – an experience comparable to St. Regis. The room facilities looked a bit aged but were exceptionally clean. Aside from the soundproofing being slightly less than perfect, everything else was very satisfying. The check-out experience was also excellent, with staff actively assisting whenever needed, making the process super quick. Full marks!
