If you're coming to Daisetsuzan Asahidake and your budget allows for a slight splurge, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It's truly excellent (and I'm used to staying at international chains like Marriott and IHG). I genuinely recommend it. Also, it's best to stay for two nights; a bluebird day is a rare treat. On 'Xiaohongshu' (Little Red Book), this hotel is often compared to the one next...
Such a vibe! This hotel is perfect—they have a library with free coffee and tea 24/7. The food is 10/10 for both breakfast and dinner. The rooms are huge and beautifully designed. Plus, they give you two different outfits to wear around the property and a super comfy set of pajamas!
This hotel is super convenient, located right next to the Asahidake Ropeway (about a 1-minute walk). They have a free hot spring, and both breakfast and dinner are included in the price. The room itself is also quite spacious.
The room was huge, the biggest and most expensive hotel I stayed at during this trip to Japan. It included breakfast and dinner, and the meals were quite varied and plentiful. The only thing I want to complain about is an older male staff member, I'm not sure if he was a supervisor or something, but his attitude was terrible, as if everyone owed him a lot of money, always with a sour face. The female...
great location it is right next to the rope way, will require car to reach for easiness, dinner and breakfast was great a lot of varieties
Spacious room, decent dinner, good value for money.

Due to frequent JR cancellations during my arrival, I considered canceling my Asahikawa trip. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel and the platform, and providing JR's official cancellation notice, the hotel's firm refusal to issue a refund was truly disappointing. The hotel itself is decent; its strengths are its direct visibility from Asahikawa Station and the spacious rooms. There...
Everything was great. Proximity to the Asahikawa station was very useful and helpful, especially with all the snow. The amenities were nice. I especially liked the apple tea. Breakfast was an affordable nice buffet with plenty of options to choose from. Seating was easy to get.
I came visited for one night and my experience just so bad, the my hotel are to hot i already asked how to make the air conditioner works but its not working i feel like stayed at sauna for sure..
This is essentially a remote, small town with not many locals or tourists. There's a lot of snow, practically non-stop. It's a good choice for those who enjoy solitude or want to see a snowy landscape. The hotel's location is very convenient.
This hotel is super close to JR Asahikawa, only about a 5-minute walk. Plus, there's a huge Aeon supermarket right outside! The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and they even have a coffee machine in the lobby, which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend it!
The hotel definitely needs to improve on their cleanliness. There are lashes extension found at the bath tub, sink and around the toilet ( should be from the previous guest)upon check in. Some dirty stains near the window as well. The hotel does not provide room cleaning services ( if I'm not mistaken only for guest staying 4 nights and above). We are staying 2 night, so they only give change of...

Asahikawa, Article 7 7-chome 32-12 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Location is decent not super fancy central, but still easy enough to get around Asahikawa, which is already a pretty chill, compact city anyway. Good base if you’re just passing through or heading to places like the zoo or nearby ski spots.
Great room for two people. toilet quite small but it's okay (not a big deal) we enjoyed staying there It's near the great bar too!
Good hotel, the food around is good and cheap, the staff was kind too.
The room was clean, but the place is quite far—about 1.2 km from Asahikawa Station.
Not very clean. But good location and amenities. Would probably try the other hotels close by next time.

i honestly like it here. very comfortable bed with a very good common space. they even have a very good guitar!Best hostel ever!
Really good location. The morning breakfast is also free and unlimited
Besides the separate male and female bathrooms, it's very thoughtful that the female shower rooms have an extra password lock, which makes you feel very secure. I tested them and they were all very clean 👍👍. The ground floor houses a restaurant, and the reception staff are quite friendly. The room space is a bit small; if you open two 20-inch suitcases, you basically can't walk around. Another slight...
Room is clean yet a bit small. Free breakfast is very delicious.
It's very close to Asahikawa Station, and the facilities are excellent. The bathrooms and showers are very clean, and everything you need is provided. Breakfast is also included, and a humidifier can be borrowed for free! For me, it's a very high-end hostel 🤣 The staff are also very friendly. The only slight drawback is that the room lighting might be a bit dim, so you need to use the bedside lamp...
This is my regular place to stay when I stay in Asahikawa. All the staff are always courteous and helpful, from morning to night. I am always grateful.

overall, a pleasant experience
Nice clean little business hotel with breakfast. It's seen it's years, but all the necessary facilities are there and not much to complain for the price. The breakfast is Japanese style buffet, limited options and practically the same everyday, but healthy and tasty enough.
I wanted a cheap place to stay, and the hotels around Asahikawa Station were fully booked, so I chose this one. There are bars a short walk away, but not as many as in front of Asahikawa Station. Maybe you can get closer to the downtown area by bus? It's old, but at least the cleaning is done well. The front desk staff was young, but they seemed unmotivated, which was disappointing.
Great stay for the price, single room with enough room for luggage. Breakfast for ¥600 it's definitely worth it, don't expect to be fancy but good enough for the price.
With the increase in tourists and the rise in accommodation prices across the board, it's great to be able to stay here so cheaply. The rooms are clean and warm, so I'm very satisfied.
Location is very nice by the way totally happiness in this travel. thanks for your supporting.

The convenience store is close by, and Asahikawa's downtown area (3.6km) is also just a 5-minute walk away. I use this place frequently for both business and leisure.
The bedrooms were more than comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, there was a photo opportunity at the entrance, and all amenities were provided.
The room is very big and original retro style. Well maintained
The noise of the exhaust fan running all night was very uncomfortable, and the location was a bit far away. But parking was free, so that was nice.
Location is good but room needs renovation and refurnishing, some part of the room have aged badly.

I'll say it's good that the rooms are non-smoking... If there was a smoking area on each floor, I'd give it 5 stars...😓
Is this a regular lodging for construction workers? It's a little far from the station. If you take the Nayoro Line bus, it's a little closer if you get off at Shibetsu Odori 6-chome.
Breakfast was served as a set meal on weekdays, but a buffet on weekends. The sauna was properly equipped with ladles and buckets, allowing for self-service. The large public bath was also clean. The rooms were average, but clean and comfortable. The parking lot was surprisingly full. The amenities and facilities were also great, making this a facility that caters to all your needs. Fantastic experience! The rooms are good with 2 beds and hotel has various resting, reading, chilling, eating, and wandering areas for all ages. Kids play room, massage chair room, and etc. Comics, magazine, and lots more books to read. The service is superb! Caring and willing to help. The onsen is marvelous! Large with 8 or more type of onsen from indoor to out door. This hotel is great for family...
It's a bit out of the way, but a very new and trendy hostel. The hot springs have both indoor and outdoor sections, which is quite amazing. The food is also quite good. The breakfast has a wide variety of options. You can only get a hot spring bath after 10 am.
Although it was a course meal, there were some meats I couldn't eat, so perhaps a buffet would have been better ♥️ Breakfast was great ♥️
It was great! The food was delicious. There was also a gym. We could exercise while on a family trip! The lounge at night was also great with free alcohol!
As a couple in their 60s from Hokkaido, we were unable to understand or make full use of all the facilities and systems, but we did use the full-body massage machine many times. It would be a good place for young families and young people using the sauna to enjoy themselves all day long. Isn't the price of the evening buffet a little high, even though it's all-you-can-drink? The bath was quite far...
Stayed four days and three nights, although the room is a bit small, but not a big problem, front desk polite, comfortable environment, hotel facilities are enough to play, can soak hot spring, massage chair, restaurant (buffet breakfast fit my personal taste, time 9:00am finished, dinner 8:30pm finished), rest bedroom, children's play area, reading area. - A hotel that allows people to truly relax...

Convenient and near to Asahkawa Station. (Around 10min walk). Good breakfast. This hotel provides mineral water.
Great location, not easy to find if driving (Google maps gets really confused when driving), but walking is definitely no problem to find. 👍 Limited parking is available under the hotel and you can park across the street (as long as it's not full and it's paid parking). The staff are friendly, courteous, understanding, and helpful. 👌 Our first day, we missed our time for breakfast, but the staff helped...
Room was decent, the toilet is small. Super helpful staff though
The rooms and bathrooms are small but clean and tidy. There is no problem considering only sleeping.
Single room Use a smoking room without meals. The size of the room conformed to the single room of a general business hotel, and I was satisfied without excess or deficiency. It was stated on the website that you could choose shampoo etc. for the amenities, but I could not receive the corresponding service. Shaving is not prepared in the room by default, and it was a little difficult to understand...

This hotel, reportedly over 80 years old, boasts exquisite interior design, especially the hot spring area, which exudes an ancient yet beautiful ambiance. The yukatas provided in the rooms are perfectly ironed and folded, adding a touch of ceremony to soaking in the hot springs. The staff are also incredibly attentive and friendly.
Very authentic Ryokan. Nice and quiet. The Ryokan serves excellent Japanese breakfast and Soba (freshly mad dinner. Service and hospitality was top notch. Onsen was lovely and relaxing.

I didn't expect much since it's a value-for-money ryokan, but the open-air hot spring bath was disappointing. It's a small bath, only accommodating one person, but it would have been nice if they'd added some plants. The fluorescent lights in the guest rooms could also be changed.
It's a bit difficult to get to without a car, but if you do, it's well worth it. The hotel offers a refined dinner and breakfast, clean rooms, and a sauna with a somewhat dated feel, but well-maintained. A decent ryokan in Asahikawa.
Unexpectedly, there was no shower in the room, only hot springs for bathing. Breakfast and dinner were at the soba restaurant on the first floor. After dinner, I was reeking of cooking fumes. The surroundings were rather desolate.

We had the pleasure to spend a night at the Asahidake Deer Valley Hotel. The service is incredibly heartwarming and sincere. We immediately felt at home and welcome. This Hotel is a rare gem, although it is a weird experience at first because some things don't match up. Like the silver cutlery and high standard service in the restaurant and the pyjamas you are allowed to wear there. The Onsen is great, the food is amazing, but nothing for picky people because you have preplanned courses, but these are truly amazing. Complements to the chef and kitchen team. The...
The seafood appetizer for dinner was very stale. There was no air conditioning in the room. There was no elevator, so we carried our 29-inch suitcase to the third floor. The service staff are friendly, the environment is ordinary, and the equipment is ordinary. We booked two rooms for two people. The total cost is NT$10,778. There is a 500 yen (per room) hot spring entrance tax when you check out....
the staff is kind of rude. I understand their command of English language is limited. But the attitude can be seen through body language.
There is no elevator in the hotel, you need to carry your own luggage, and you need to move three flights of stairs by yourself. The dinner is mediocre, and the breakfast is even worse! The hotel is old! There is no air conditioning in the hotel (lobby and room)!

The hotel gives a ryokan experience. The buffet spread is amazing for both dinner and breakfast. It has a generous variety of Japanese cuisines and delicious sweet melons are offered all you can eat. The Shirahige falls are just behind the hotel.
The ingredients are unique, but the amount and variety of food are small, there are not many soups, the soup is authentic, and the opening hours are a bit short. The hotel is not far from the cable car, but we still chose to drive there.
It was an unrealistic landscape.
The hot springs are nice, but there is no private hot spring. The shabu-shabu dinner is good, but the other raw food is a bit hard to eat. The hotel has a car to take you to the cable car in the morning, which is great.
This hotel is on the mountain, private, quiet, and has a rich history. The room facilities are good. I arrived after Christmas at the end of December. The snow was thick and soft. I personally think it is better than the snow in Xuexiang. The breakfast and dinner are Japanese style, and the taste is good, suitable for Chinese tastes. The hot spring water is natural, with hot pools and warm water pools...
I will stay with family or friends if I have the chance in the future.

Parking is free. It's located in a residential area, so it's difficult to find if you're renting a car and don't have a navigation system. The front desk staff are friendly. The third floor is the top floor, but there's no elevator. It's difficult to move around with heavy luggage. The rooms are well-designed, which I like. I didn’t stay here. But stop to ask direction because I was quite lost to go Takasago Onsen (stop at the wrong bus stop). The staff was very kind to show me the direction (with some motivation). He spoke good English. So thank you to him I have arrived my hotel safely.
The location is not so good, far from the center of Asahikawa, but it is on a hilltop with a view of the city from the room. The refrigerator is a normal household refrigerator and it cools well, but the freezer is not usable. On the other hand, the air conditioner is not very effective. Breakfast is served on a Japanese-Western fusion plate + drink bar, which is fine. Recommended for those who want...
Receptionist can talk a bit English. At night is difficult to find this hotel, very dark around. The room is very old, furnitures are deteriorated. Breakfast is ok for the first day. For the second day is nearly same as the first day. Will not recommend to friends.
Wonderful hotel for family stay. Spa and playroom provided. Extraordinary view to whole Asahikawa city! A bit far away from central but worthy to stay for 2 nights!!!
We stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel is located quite a distance from the city and is near the ski lifts and golf range, the reception is friendly and the hotel rooms are well-kept and clean. There are also public baths available for free..

Far from city but view is fantastic. Food &bed is good
If you book a accommodation with dinner, please arrive early as their kitchen is closed at 7pm and nothing else they can offer instead of 2 rice balls🙄 I phoned in advance to negotiate our accidental late arrival, but still, nothing they can do. Very disappointed with the service for this price. The road to hotel is full of black ice. The surrounding area is very pretty and the hotel is clean.
Good view from hotel. services are very nice
4th night hotel, Sado Japanese Inn, too late to book a room, can only book a more partial place, located next to the sky, the hotel is by the river, the mountain pass fresh air, rooms are unified room type, although the place is remote, but many people stay, indoor and outdoor hot springs, dinner and breakfast general, but a surprise is horse meat sashimi
The calm surrounding scenery, the friendly staff, and the simple yet luxurious and neat rooms were all very good. It felt like I was in a Japanese drama. It's a really good place to stay after climbing Asahi-dake. However, it seems difficult to access without a car, so I wonder if you can get there by public transportation. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful spot!!! Quality of hot spring is lovely, opened from 12:00- 8:00 for guests. Always river sounds can be heard. Wanna repeat to stay.
