This hotel, reportedly over 80 years old, boasts exquisite interior design, especially the hot spring area, which exudes an ancient yet beautiful ambiance. The yukatas provided in the rooms are perfectly ironed and folded, adding a touch of ceremony to soaking in the hot springs. The staff are also incredibly attentive and friendly.

Very authentic Ryokan. Nice and quiet. The Ryokan serves excellent Japanese breakfast and Soba (freshly mad dinner. Service and hospitality was top notch. Onsen was lovely and relaxing.

I didn't expect much since it's a value-for-money ryokan, but the open-air hot spring bath was disappointing. It's a small bath, only accommodating one person, but it would have been nice if they'd added some plants. The fluorescent lights in the guest rooms could also be changed.

It's a bit difficult to get to without a car, but if you do, it's well worth it. The hotel offers a refined dinner and breakfast, clean rooms, and a sauna with a somewhat dated feel, but well-maintained.

A decent ryokan in Asahikawa.

Unexpectedly, there was no shower in the room, only hot springs for bathing. Breakfast and dinner were at the soba restaurant on the first floor. After dinner, I was reeking of cooking fumes. The surroundings were rather desolate.

Unlike a business hotel, this old-fashioned hot spring inn is located on a hill away from the city center, and we were very satisfied with its location, facilities, and the simple service of the staff.

Super friendly and welcoming staff, we were being treated like their family. Historical hotel but you can definitely see the owner's effort in keeping it modernised.

Yummy soba noodle too! Definitely recommend.

We chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.
