Dormy Inn Wakkanai Natural Hot Spring, Wakkanai1 / 27High rating

Hokkaido, Wakkanai, 2 Chome-7-13 Central 🧭 Map
Facilities: A very new and clean hotel. Ambiance: A very Japanese-style hotel. The outdoor bath in the public bathhouse is excellent. Service: The front desk staff didn't speak much English, and their attitude was a bit stiff. There was an additional charge for children, and the communication was problematic. The old man who checked me in kept trying to charge me in different ways, first saying it...
Well , apart from the station , a jump from the station there’s not much around the hotel . But , the top floor Onsen is 5 Star . Absolutely excellent will even outside area . Worth booking for this alone . Top notch hotel , and the reception are patient and friendly.
It was very good place to stay for me. I enjoyed hot springs in and out including ice cream and yogurt. Night noodle(?) was very impressive.  Breakfast was great, too.  I would recommend all my friends.  Thank you for all staffs.
1 of the better dormy inns out there. Staff is friendly and helpful. Super clean rooms and lots of amenities. Public bath is huge as well.
We were impressed by the service and location of the hotel. We had stayed at a Dormy Inn hotel last trip and were still impressed by its simple yet modern style. The cleanliness was outstanding, which made our stay truly relaxing.
Very close to the JR/Bus terminal. Vin Steak is located just beside the hotel. Also, there's a soup Curry restaurant, but they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Check before you visit. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Staff are helpful.

Hokkaido, Wakkanai, Tonnai-277 Kafukamura, 097-1201 Rebun Town 🧭 Map
The hotel looks a bit old inside but it's been recently refurbished. Since I wanted to make the most of Rebun, I decided to book for 5 nights. I had no other choice but to reserve a bedroom with breakfast and dinner included. Also, the price for one person was the same as for 2. So in the end it was very pricey. I chose the least expensive type of bedroom, with no view, but it wasn't an issue. If I...
This is one of the more upscale hotels on the island, very close to the harbor and the observation deck trail, offering a great spot for photographing Mount Rishiri across the water.
A very comfortable Japanese-style inn. The rooms are spacious, with sofas in addition to tatami mats. The restaurant faces Rishiri Island. We had breakfast there, enjoying the view of Mount Fuji over the sea. Although the peak was partially obscured by clouds, it was still very pleasant. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the pier; we walked there, which took less than 10 minutes, very convenient...
Today I stayed at the Rebun Kanko Hotel Sakuryo, located near the ferry terminal on Rebun Island. The hotel is extremely clean. It was also very well-maintained, which was great. There is a large public bath, a bath in the room, and an open-air bath. There is a restaurant, but the Seico Mart convenience store is about a 5-minute drive away. I think it would take about 15 minutes on foot. Unfortunately...
The location is near the pier, so you can see the boats as soon as you disembark. The buffet breakfast and dinner are of good quality. There are many narrow streets in Rei-man and Birishiri, so drive carefully, but overall it's a good place. 👍
This modern hotel is located in the Kafuka Port area of Rebun Island, within walking distance of Kafuka Pier. The hotel is newly renovated, and most staff members can speak English (even those who can't speak it can understand it). Communication is smooth, and they greet guests proactively. Kafuka Port is right outside the hotel, and Rishiri Fuji is directly opposite, offering beautiful views. The...

Good experience for stay overnight at this hotel
Conveniently located hotel that has its own hot spring that is fantastic.
The room and the hot spring is nice.
Although it feels a bit old, the interior is clean and well-organized, so I was very satisfied with the price. The location is less accessible than Wakkanai Station, but there are more restaurants around, so the convenience of the stay itself seems better. The staff's detailed and friendly guidance at check-in was good. For breakfast, the menu was plentiful and the staff's friendly service was good...
Nice clean hotel with 3 parking lots FOC. Reached late so decided to just go nearby convenience stall to take away some food. The onsen was small-midsize. The breakfast variety was not a lot but was still not bad. Good place for family as we took room with 3 beds.
Reasonable price moderate location service is also good if more food variety better price is slightly more expensive, reduce back two hundred more I would consider visiting again, is so much

Old-styled hotel but comfortable enough to stay. Nice staff. The hotel has onsen to relax after a long day travelling. Good value.
There are restaurants and amenities nearby, and the inside of the facility is also clean.
The receptionist was very kind. The room was clean. The large public bath was great too!
The hotel is clean, the location is good, the breakfast is delicious, and the hot springs are nice.
The room was average, but the bath and hot spring water made my skin smooth and relieved the fatigue from driving from Sapporo. The breakfast was also very filling.
The Japanese-style room in the hotel is large and comfortable, and the sauna and bath facilities are fully equipped and very comfortable😄!

Typical business hotel in the middle of Wakkanai. The only disappointment was the carpet with a lot of stains of I have no idea what. But overall nothing special.
The room was quite spacious; I booked a four-person room. It's an older hotel, and many Japanese motorcyclists stay here. There are yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurants nearby, and it's close to Minami-Wakanai Station (a 30-minute walk to Wakkanai JR Station) and a 15-minute walk to Sugunato Seafood Market. There's a restaurant in Sugunato Market that makes delicious wild vegetable noodles, and their...
Unfortunately I could only get one of the two breakfasts because from October the breakfast time will be changed from 6:00 to 7:00, the first of two trains per day to Asahikawa leaves at 6:40, so it is not possible. Since this change affects some hotels, including Rumoi, a notice from the provider is urgently needed! The hotel is old, the carpet in the room and hallway is in a deplorable state. The...
I was glad that I could extend my check-out time for 1000 yen.
I booked a non-smoking room, but the smoke in the room was still very heavy! feeling bad,
I left my luggage at around 9am to go sightseeing, and they looked after it for me nicely. It was a standard business hotel, and other than the unit bathroom being a little small, there were no issues.

The hotel's facilities are a bit old, but the service is very good. It offers free airport and harbor shuttle services, as well as free bicycles – a must-do activity on Rishiri Island. The food is quite good and varied, offering decent value for money. However, as some online reviews have mentioned, the hotel only has fans, not air conditioning. But given the pleasant temperature on Rishiri Island...
The hotel needs updating. With the climate change, adding air conditioning to the rooms is essential for guest comfort. A fan is not enough to cool the rooms. Also, the carpeting needs to the updated. Our room had a 3" wide hole in the carpet. The carpet appeared to be at least 20 years old. With few restaurants on the island and close by, it would be nice to offer some food service that could...
The hotel itself is quite old, but it still remains proper necessary facilities. The onsen bath is nice. Set menu for dinner is excellent although it's quite a bit too much for me.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from the pier, but thankfully there's a free shuttle bus, so that's not a big problem. The rooms were clean and hygienic, and there was a hot spring bath. Very comfortable.
We chose this hotel during our trip to Rishiri Island. There aren't many options on the island, and prices aren't cheap, but we didn't want to stay in some guesthouses without private bathrooms. This is a proper hotel with spacious rooms and good views. There's also a free onsen (hot spring) area, though there's a tax of around 600 yen. It's a 15-minute walk from Rishiri Port. There are convenience...
The shuttle to and from the Oshidomari Ferry Terminal and Rishiri Airport was very helpful. Both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious and very satisfying. The staff were also wonderful, calling out to us at the perfect time during dinner and bringing the food very smoothly. Drink prices were also very reasonable. In terms of facilities, the elevator buttons...

Stayed in late February. It was very comfortable. The room is a Japanese-style room and is spacious. Thank you for not being bothered by the cold air from the outside. The breakfast was also delicious! (`・ Ω ・ ´) ゞ
Pleasant staff. Nice japanese room experience. Great sea view.
Very nice reception staff, was happy to help me store my bike, and quick to let me back into my room when I locked myself out. Hotel has descent amenities and very affordable for a comfy room. They had the heater on in my room when I arrived as well. The reception staff spoke passable English, and helped me locate the nearest konbini/supermarket. Would stay there again.
I had my first experience staying in Japanese style room. Overall is okay but the wifi connection was so weak. I've got room with seaview.

This was such a nice hotel to stay in, within eyesight and a 6 minute walk of the ferry terminal. So convenient! The staff was very friendly and helpful in English. They even gave us a morning ride to the trail head to hike Mt Rishiri. The best part was the food! The dinner was a beautiful spread of dishes and so tasty. Breakfast was the same. We had a perfect view of Mt Rishiri and the harbour. Also...
Airport pick-up and drop-off is very convenient, dinner is plentiful, and the mountain behind the building is beautiful.
Not far from the pier, when the boat arrives, elderly staff members holding banners will be waiting at the exit to pick up and drop off guests (the banners are all in Japanese, so be sure to check beforehand to see if they are Japanese). The hotel's exterior looks very ordinary, not as good as other hotels of the same level on Rebun Island. Because of the rain, the sea view was just average. The rooms...
Very good location! Just few minutes walk to the ferry terminal! Friendly staff, nice environment! We booked a room with 2 meals in a very reasonable price!
The location is great, close to the ferry terminal and Cape Peshi. After dinner, we went outside and saw the sun setting over Mount Rishiri, and it was very beautiful, with the peak looming in the darkness. The room was spacious, clean, and relaxing. I had eaten the sea urchin in Wakkanai and Rebun Island, but this one was also very delicious. The nostalgic seasoned boiled fish and chawanmushi reminded...
The old man at the front desk was very attentive. When he learned that I was going to climb Mount Rishiri, he specially drove me along the way. Since I might not be able to catch dinner until I come back from hiking at night, my uncle still specially reserved dinner for me and waited for me to come back.

The staff were very kind and I had a comfortable stay. It's very conveniently located near a pub and a convenience store. I'd like to use it again the next time I go.
I stayed here to try Minami Wakkanai cuisine. I made a reservation just before the day before, but it was a much nicer hotel than I expected. The receptionist was polite, and although there was a slight mistake, they upgraded my room even though there was nothing particularly bothersome. Unfortunately, the hot spring was broken on the day and I couldn't use the on-site hot spring, but I would like...

The hotel is great but only 1 thing about the humidity level in the room. Appreciate if humidifiers to be provided in the room. Breakfast is awesome and view is super. Location is jz outside of JR STATION.
Hmmm the central aircon was too warm and it can’t really be adjusted. we’ve tried adjusted it to the lowest temperature but it’s still too warm
Located next to the train station. Staff can speak English.
Due to a train delay, I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. The front desk staff waited specifically for me and processed my check-in quickly, instead of making guests wait one by one. Any questions I had were answered promptly. Overall, I was quite satisfied. As for the room, it was very clean and had no strange odors. The room was spacious with high ceilings, which is a rare and significant...
The breakfast was good, with a seafood rice bowl, but the facilities are outdated. The toilet and bathtub feel like they're from the last century. Also, the soundproofing in the room isn't great; staying in room 804, I heard incredibly loud snoring from next door before bed, which was extremely annoying.
One of the best hotels in the most northern part of Japan . Don’t have to worry about each meals. and the scenery from Harborview room is good.
