Reviews
Since I wanted to make the most of Rebun, I decided to book for 5 nights. I had no other choice but to reserve a bedroom with breakfast and dinner included. Also, the price for one person was the same as for 2. So in the end it was very pricey.
I chose the least expensive type of bedroom, with no view, but it wasn't an issue.
If I'd had the choice I wouldn't have taken the dinner option, but I eventually realised there were not so many restaurants on Rebun, and they closed early. Having a nice buffet waiting for you after a day of hiking was nice. The food in itself was good and the evening meal included drinks, which also accounts for the price. After 3 days, I was given a different meal from the other guests, and a table close to the window was kept for me. That was really thoughtful! The staff told me that they didn't want me to have the same dinner every day and I really appreciated the gesture. I was served traditional and local dishes from Hokkaido, on a lovely tray.
I'm not sharing any photos but those you can see on the website are reliable. The view from the restaurant was amazing. My bedroom was a bit old, with cigarette marks on the tatami mats. You could also smell the bedroom had been a smoking room in the past!
The sento was big and there were several baths at different temperatures.
A nice stay overall (in July 2025).
The hotel is extremely clean.
It was also very well-maintained, which was great.
There is a large public bath, a bath in the room, and an open-air bath.
There is a restaurant, but the Seico Mart convenience store is about a 5-minute drive away. I think it would take about 15 minutes on foot.
Unfortunately, the rooms are a little old and the sofas are uncomfortable.
However, it was formerly a Mitsui Kanko Hotel, so it's a nice hotel.
I would like to stay here again.
Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I was unable to make the trip and had to cancel my reservation. The hotel was very understanding and proactively assisted me with a free cancellation; their sincere service made me feel very warm. This thoughtfulness and understanding alone has left a deep impression on me. I will definitely book again next year, hoping to personally experience the natural beauty of Rebun Island and the hotel's excellent service.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus, but advance reservations are required.
The hotel used to be the Mitsui Hotel, but has changed its name.
The large public bath is nice, directly facing Mount Rishiri Fuji.
You can soak in the hot spring while enjoying the view of Mount Rishiri Fuji. Weekday prices are reasonable.
Highly recommended.
