Hotel Misono in Wakkanai

I booked directly through the hotel's website on the day.

Only a twin room was available, and given it was peak season, it was a fairly high price for a room only, but it was understandable as it had a hot spring bath and was close to the downtown area.

I put my shoes in the shoe locker at the lobby entrance and headed inside. Past the front desk, there were amenities next to the elevator, coffee and tea for your room, an aroma pot, socks, a bag for changing clothes for the bath in the room, baby shampoo, ice cream for after your bath, etc. At the bath, it's classified as a business hotel, but it's a lovely hotel with great attention to detail 🎵🎵

The staff were very kind and I had a comfortable stay.

It's very conveniently located near a pub and a convenience store.

I'd like to use it again the next time I go.

I stayed here to try Minami Wakkanai cuisine. I made a reservation just before the day before, but it was a much nicer hotel than I expected. The receptionist was polite, and although there was a slight mistake, they upgraded my room even though there was nothing particularly bothersome.
Unfortunately, the hot spring was broken on the day and I couldn't use the on-site hot spring, but I would like to come back again.
The room was clean, and the amenities were plentiful, with a system where you could pick them up from the lobby.

The correct name of the hotel is “Misono”, not “Geon”!

Good location just off the train station overlooking the sea front. Well laid out with great rooms.

Inside the building, you take off your shoes and wear slippers, so the floor is clean.The room is a twin single-use room, spacious and clean.The desk is also spacious, and the chair is made of wood, so the height and backrest angle cannot be adjusted.There is no shortage of power around the desk.Wi-Fi is good. The power is in triple digits and the connection is good.The air conditioning only works either for heating or cooling depending on the season.The large public bath only has 5 seats for the washing area, but it's not crowded.The hot springs in Wakkanai are all very warm and have a soft quality that feels thick, making your skin smooth. You can stay here forever, and the breakfast is delicious beyond the level of a business hotel! The staff was very kind and responded to our troublesome requests with a smile.

Clean; offering lots of services at reasonable prices. More than anything, it's the only place that actually opened to me during a tough time. The best hotel in the area.
