Kusatsu Now Resort Hotel, Kusatsu1 / 30
8.3
Kanto region, Kusatsu, Kusatsu Shirone 750 🧭 Map
The buffet had a wide variety of options, both in the evening and in the morning, and I was very satisfied. The dinner menu featured sushi and Joshu beef, and everything was so delicious that I ended up overeating
Now Resort was very polite and kind, attentive, greeting, customer service, everything was the best. However, the room I booked through Trip was changed because it was not suitable for families
The hotel has excellent Onsen baths with hot spring water. You can book a separate room with a bath, this is a 24-hour service. The hotel has a shuttle service to the center of Kusatsu
The porridge served for breakfast was a personal favorite. The hotel also has a convenience store and playroom, and you can enjoy a stamp rally, so I recommend playing while touring the building
There's also a shuttle bus to the Yubatake, making transportation easy. I was very satisfied with the room, food, and facilities, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel
Sparkling wine was provided in the room, and it was sweet, so even I, who usually don't like wine, enjoyed it very much

Splendid dinner Good breakfast spread Excellent onsen Facinating view
this is the greatest onsen hotel I have ever stayed, the room was large, the view was beautiful, big in love with the private onsen, the staffs are nice and helpful, the dinner and breakfast were great too, it was really excellent with everything, highly recommend
Stayed there for one night—the service and food were excellent. The location is also within walking distance of the main street. I’ll definitely stay again if I get the chance.
The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly polite. It was definitely worth the money I paid. I also got to try both types of private open-air baths, and the in-room open-air bath was spacious enough
The hotel isn't huge but it has a quality feel to it. They offer free coffee in the lobby, and dinner was excellent – French cuisine that looked and tasted amazing
The dinner and breakfast inspired and it is good for family trip with a number of accessible service for elderly with physically limitations

The location is excellent, with parking available. The dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious. The hotel's public hot springs were clean and had many pools to choose from. The staff were friendly and spoke English
The rooms are clean and tidy, and the onsen features two indoor baths and an outdoor hot spring, which is very comfortable. The staff are extremely polite and professional, providing excellent service
The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Yubatake and a 5-6 minute drive from Kusatsu Station. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from the station
Great services with transportation pick up from bus terminal, people so nice and do the best to support all the guest.
The hotel is not far from the Kusatsu central area, about an 8-minute walk from the Kusatsu bus stop. I had booked a tatami room, but was given a twin room instead. The room was spacious with windows on two sides
Dinner was Japanese cuisine, but the variety and portions were limited, and the ingredients weren't particularly special. The staff were polite, and there was a shuttle bus to the Kusatsu bus stop

I booked the highly-rated Bouun Ryokan three months in advance, supposedly in business for 462 years! The interior decor and tatami rooms were surprisingly new
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, but the heating was a bit insufficient. The public hot spring was excellent, and the private bath was also good. Dinner was very generous, but breakfast was too simple.
It's incredibly spacious and pleasant. Among all the ryokans I've visited, this one is definitely top-notch. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
Both were exceptionally thoughtful. However, I must criticize a young male receptionist at the front desk – fair-skinned, round-faced, and wearing glasses. He didn't seem Japanese and was very impatient with guests
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. You can call the hotel for a pick-up, as dragging luggage uphill yourself can be a bit strenuous
I especially want to commend the Japanese gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station, and the young lady who helped us with our luggage on check-in day, January 5th

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to provide excellent service
They even arranged to pick me up from another hotel, patiently explained everything I needed to know, and made sure I felt welcomed. The room was very clean and comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious
On my departure day, they kindly offered me a ride to the bus terminal, which was a huge help. Although the location is a little further out, the outstanding service more than makes up for it
The staff will help us make the bed during dinner in the evening, so we don't have to do it ourselves. I had a comfortable night's sleep and overall felt good. Japanese-style rooms are cheaper
The room was larger than I expected and I was very comfortable. The open-air bath was also very comfortable. The front desk staff were also very kind.
It wasn't a buffet, but it was delicious. I was glad that it wasn't a buffet in the morning either. I was able to enjoy my meal at my own pace.

The owner, Hideyosi san, is very friendly and kind person, and he speaks English enough to maintain a good conversation. Truly great and local experience
The room is on the 2nd floor and there are stairs going up and down, and it is difficult to have a toilet in the room, but it was an excellent inn for cospa
Very good, I want to visit again!
The private onsen facilities in particular were great because they were never too crowded, so it was easy to relax and enjoy them freely. I also loved that I could use them multiple times during my stay
It was very affordable and the food was delicious. The steak and rainbow trout were delicious. The hot spring bath is also new, and there are 4 sleeping baths in private rooms, so it was very warm
I used it for the first time! The heartfelt hospitality warmed my heart. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Especially the char was delicious and I got it to my head for the first time

Every staff were friendly and we really felt like home. Location is nearby the major travel spot but not noisy. Everything is good, just a very little thing: moved luggages by hand to room at 2nd floor
The location is good, near the center of Tangchun. The room was nice with different pillow choices. The heating is sufficient and it is divided into a living room and a Chinese-style bedroom
Absolutely loved our story here. If you book here, get the Sora room. It has its own private bath and lots of space. And the town surrounding, is so cute and fun to walk around
There are four indoor hot springs, which are divided into dry and wet rooms, and are equipped with a full range of supplies such as combs and toiletries
The downside is that there are only four hot spring pools, one for each person. If you soak for a long time, others will not be able to use the pool
I stayed here for my last hot spring trip of the year. It's close to the Yubatake and in a very good location. There is an izakaya just below the inn, so it was nice to have a drink nearby

Traditional style of Japan Ryokan. Kind people and hospitality. Location is very good!
They had yukata and other items provided, which was very comfortable. They were also very helpful with getting my car in and out, so I had a great time.
great location. wonderful services. Fyi, child must pay for breakfast & bedding.
Old style but so 🙆♀️⭐️
It was located right next to the Yubatake, so it was a very convenient location. There is also free parking, which is very convenient if you come by car for sightseeing.

Is it the best hotel in this famous hot spring town? Nope, but it is very good value in my opinion
And because this isn’t a large establishment, you don’t have to wait for the private Onsen. The private onsen isn’t very big but it’s good enough. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoy ourselves staying here
And the staff there are so friendly and hospitable. To have this service and quality at this price, this is definitely one of the best place I have ever stayed in
Good service, friendly staff, rich breakfast and dinner.
Overall a good experience for what’s available to the area
The hotel serves up to seven rooms a night and since there are two free private onsen rooms plus the bigger male and female individual rooms which are hardly used by anyone, you can almost always get your private hot spring which can cost quite a bit if you are to book a room with private bath

A very good hotel with a free shuttle bus to Yubata, the train station, and the ski resort. The hotel is large and has comprehensive recreational facilities, including bowling, karaoke, and billiards
The receptionist speaks excellent English, making communication completely seamless
It was the first time I'd ever stayed in such a large room in Japan! The breakfast and dinner selection was varied and authentically delicious; the indoor and outdoor hot spring environment was absolutely first-class – a true resort paradise
Xu not only acted as our translator but also meticulously explained how to take the bus, how to take a taxi to the repair shop, the cost-effectiveness of different transportation options, and things to be aware of
The open-air bath in the large public bath is very comfortable, allowing you to enjoy the snow while soaking in the hot spring. The hot spring water is piped from Yubata Genyu, and the temperature is quite high
She even wrote everything down clearly so we wouldn't forget. For two retired workers like us who don't speak Japanese and were driving ourselves, it was like a godsend – a huge help! Thank you so much, Ms

We arrived late around 8pm since everyone was resting but they waited for us and helped me to make restaurant booking after we 4hrs drive to the hotel. The bbq near by is good and local
Perfect location, right next to the scenic spot. Great service and very good onsen
The staff have good service mind. Hotel is quite age but located in prime location which in front of is yutabake. Yakitori foos stall nearby (opposite Yutabake whichblong que) is great but the shop opens 3 pm onward.
The location is just one step out from the spot. We enjoyed the hot spring in a private room and this is a Japanese style hotel that we are looking for. I will definitely visit again
Loved this traditional ryokan in kusatsu right next to the hot spring in the city center. They have a private onsen to use for free upon availability which we enjoyed a lot
This is awesome place that you must choose to stay! The two gentlemen are amazing with great attitude and services
