Here is very nice Ryokang. Good service and All Staffs are very friendly especially A Nepali guy (Sorry, I didn't ask him name) He is very helpful and suggested us things to do in Yugawara. We are very appreciated here.
Expensive but worth it! The hospitality is top-notch, and the location is very quiet and serene. Dinner and breakfast were excellent (Kaiseki style), and the onsen was great. A perfect place to relax.
Beautiful if aged ryokan with a spectacular dining experience.

Manyou no Sato Hakuunsou, Yugawara1 / 24

Kanto region, Yugawara, 716-1 Miyakami, Yugawara-machi 🧭 Map
The experience wasn't cheap, but it was worth every cent and I'd highly recommend a night at Hakuunsou! A couple of extra notes: - There is a shared onsen if you want the 'getting naked in front of strangers' experience :) - All of the amenities are taken care of including toiletries and a yukata to swan around in, so you can travel light (in hindsight
- I didn't notice any internet access points and there was no wireless but I believe they might have computers/cables available for use somewhere - There was a bar/lounge area to hang out in (though we didn't use it) - There are TVs in the room in case you're craving some modern entertainment
The dishes were brought in one by one - small appetisers, sashimi, sushi, tempura, Kobe beef and desserts - each dish beautifully presented, perfectly balanced and in tune with the season. Breakfast was a similar affair
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the lady who was looking after us. We were served tea and a snack while our bags were whisked away and we were checked in. 5sqm room with its own onsen bath
This is one of my favorite accommodations. While the view from the room might not be spectacular, the food, rooms, and service were excellent. The place isn't very big, so it's very quiet and private
The room was traditionally outfiited with tatami mats, sliding doors and low tables and chairs for formal dining, and a smaller section for relaxing. The decorations were minimal and elegant

Onyado Megumi, Yugawara1 / 22High rating

Kanto region, Yugawara, 361 Miyakami, Yugawara-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, K 🧭 Map
We enjoyed relaxing in the large public bath and the open-air hot springs. For dinner, we were grateful for the chef's thoughtful preparations, with dishes such as abalone and shark fin
I heard that the person in charge of our rooms is still young and inexperienced, but I could see the landlady's guidance and her hard work, and we had a very pleasant time
For breakfast, we enjoyed delicious dishes such as filleted horse mackerel and dashi chazuke
However, the fact that there is no nighttime bathing time is a plus, as there are times when you just want to take a bath in the middle of the night. For some reason, the meat for dinner was Hida beef
I participated in this hotel as part of a training trip for an alumni association. I think the atmosphere is good for socializing. The bath had a variety of amenities, which was nice
The open-air bath was a little small, so it was difficult to enjoy the view outside

We booked the executive suite for the full authentic experience with our own onsen. The dinner was a multi course meal, served in our room and the breakfast was a Kaiseki also served in our room
The food was very delicious and the presentation was amazing. Our favourite memory of Japan, and we had a lot of amazing memories of this place in our two week visit. It is definitely think worth the experience!
Location is in a secluded area. About 15min can ride, and it is worth the ride. Sound of river is so calming, rooms have excellent space and aminities. Staffs are mindblowingly professional yet warm
A stately inn built in the quiet area of Oku Yugawara. Good hospitality for a beautiful view. This is the best. There are some things that I am curious about, but the rating remains the same.
Fabulous traditional Japanese Inn. Our room had a private hot spring bath on the deck, which overlooks a beautiful pond and garden. The service and presentation of our meals were fantastic.
Even though we don't speak Japanese, she communicated with patience and kindness throughout our stay. It was an unforgettable way to celebrate our anniversary, and we would love to return

Kanto region, Yugawara, 398 Miyakami 🧭 Map
The place is extremely clean! Every tiny detail is cared of, you feel like it is titanic part of work to provide this level of cleanness. This was the best food among visited ryokans. It is really the highest level
However, after the first soak and then the first dinner, everything make sense! Japanese are good at hitting the key note right! I reallize that everything has been thought through! The rooftop bath where it is first come first serve is perfect for starting your unwinding
The lady, who prepared everything in the room was nice but way too pushing and loud and a bit chaotic, we felt like we were being kicked out of the hotel (the lady even was running pushing us and our luggage out of the hotel 🤪), that they forgot to put our bags in taxi
They start preparing around 7 am, coming into your room and loudly announcing “good morning!” and the appearance of staff was never quiet ). Being after long night flight, this was a challenge
The chef-cook should be given Michelin or whatever, it is just unbelievable how everything was presented and cooked. All the food is the highest quality, absolutely delicious
The 7 courses dinner was mesmerizing and the lady who take care of me is delightful. After 2 nights stay, I even feel like we made connection beyond the translator devices

Kanto region, Yugawara, 742 Miyakami 🧭 Map
Quiet oasis The food an amenities were wonderful. The atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice, and they have very uniqhe sourvebirs you can purchase. It would be perfect for a quite retreat.
It isn't a new building, but renovated well. This accomodation is for foreigner, but staff are helpful Japanese people, too. As it is in typical ONSEN town, it is located on the slope
The dorms were super adequately priced. Had the onsen to myself during the weekdays. And the staff SAVED my life when I lost my luggage. Extremely courteous and lovely people
There is nothing around, but it was a hideaway-like place. It seems to have been renovated, and it was a sophisticated hot spring inn. It was clean and extremely comfortable
Fun to stay here and experience a traditional Onsen/Japanese style room. Very quiet area. Appreciated the shuttle to train station.
It is not very convenient for transportation, but there is a shuttle from Yugawara Station, so it should not be a problem

La Classe de Cienega, Yugawara1 / 19
8.5
Kanto region, Yugawara, 69 Yoshihama 🧭 Map
The hot spring, while small, was adequate. However, the sauna hours are set to completely favor women. Men are only allowed in between check-in and before dinner
The pool (over 10, no play equipment allowed) is free to enjoy, and while the building and facilities are a little dated, each room (we stayed in a maisonette and a twin room) was spacious and clean, with no noise from neighboring rooms
Waking up to the sounds of the waves and birds was an ideal experience. The hotel's location is great, and although there's a busy national highway nearby, I personally didn't find the noise disruptive or bothersome
The public bath was great, but the shower pressure, water temperature, jet bath, shampoos, and hair dryer in my room were the best! ⭐︎ My hair, which tends to get rough at the beach, is now silky smooth
) The ocean view rivals those of hotels in Okinawa and Hawaii, and since it was the right time of year, we even got to see the Atami fireworks
I loved it! ◎ The last thing I'll mention is the view from my room. (The photo is a longer shot from the third floor

You just have to calculate the bus time, otherwise you have to walk two kilometers from Yugawara Station to the hotel. Attached are pictures of the hotel restaurant and the Yugawara fireworks show
The owner of the hotel is very kind. He personally took us to familiarize ourselves with the hotel facilities. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hot spring experience was also very good
The service specialist has a great attitude and great language communication.
Unbelievable stay! Food, service and Onsen all TOP NOTCH!!
As the word of mouth, the food was delicious, the staff were very pleasant, and the trip for the first time in two years was very good. Check-in procedure was also done in the room, and I was relieved that only 3
The food is delicious. Luxury at night and in the morning. The baths are all different so you can enjoy it without getting bored. It's a pity that we couldn't check in on time, but all the employees feel good.

Very comfortable, quiet, attentive service, the family is very satisfied
it's very good quality abuot the room and service
- super hosts, very helpful, whatever is your request, doing their best to translate in English and make it easy for you - large bedroom with very comfortable futons - great house full of tatamis - onsen : inside and outside opened still late at night - opportunity to get a kaiseki dinner
I liked the accessibility of the public onsen. It was nice being able to go at any time in the evening. It was great how quiet and safe the hotel was
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a getaway from the city
전통 일본식 문화를 체험할 수 있었고, 직원분들의 친절함 무척 좋았습니다. 또한 온천욕은 아주 좋았습니다

The semi-open-air bath has a few insects flying around, so we don't recommend it. However, the completely open-air bath is clean and has a nice temperature, so we recommend you try it
The room was very big. We took three baths in the hot springs and it was very comfortable. Remember to include breakfast and dinner next time, otherwise it will be difficult to find food in Yugawara.
An in-depth experience at a pure Japanese hot spring hotel. One stay and two meals. Dinner and lunch are very delicious. The hot springs are also great. It is worth visiting again.
There are steep slopes near the inn, so walking is difficult, so we recommend taking a taxi. The hot spring has a semi-open-air bath and a completely open-air bath
The dinner was great and the hot spring was very comfortable, but it was a bit out of the way.
The staff were very friendly, the facilities were nice, and I had a great time.

Yugawara Retreat Goen no Mori, Yugawara1 / 26
8.3
Kanto region, Yugawara, 5 Chome-4-6 Doi 🧭 Map
The room is in a very traditional Japanese style, just like Doraemon’s home! You need to make your own bed, it is a tatami bed, and their tatami beds are really comfortable! 😁 The only drawback is that you need to keep pressing the shower button for the water to come out
We stayed for one night and were very pleased by the experience. The room was very comfortable, there were books everywhere and the atmosphere also was the best for only relaxing and getting in touch with yourself
The hotel is located about 7 minutes' walk from Yugawara Station. It has an elegant exterior and rooms with traditional Japanese design, much like the traditional Japanese homes seen on TV dramas
Apart from this, everything else is very good, and the private bath is also great! ps: Their food and accommodation are all vegetarian, so friends who cannot accept this should pay attention
Food is exquisite; local vegetables cooked in innovative ways. Wonderful friendly and accommodating staff. Relaxing vibe, easy to sleep and refresh. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I am a first-time traveler to Tokyo who does not speak Japanese or English well, and the travel agency said that the bathroom was included and uploaded a photo of a private room so I made a reservation, but it turned out that the bathroom was literally a private bathroom and not a ryokan
I thought something was wrong, so I tried hard to communicate with Papago using hand and foot gestures, and it would have been unpleasant to make a complaint that did not make sense, but they kindly guided me without a wrinkle on their face and even upgraded me to the room in the photo
And the dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I felt like I was treated well with a course meal for dinner in particular. If I could go again next time, I would like to use the best room and make another memory
Please make a reservation by looking at the photos carefully, and if the travel agency does not have a separate private room and private bathroom, I recommend that you check before making a reservation
I sincerely thank you for your consideration so that I could end my ryokan trip in Japan, which was almost unpleasant due to reservation issues, on a good note
The room feels old, but there is harmony in the beautiful room, and I felt seriousness in each place. I was able to enjoy the open-air bath slowly

However, it is far from the station, and although there is a shuttle bus, the number of people allowed is limited, so it feels a little difficult to access for those who do not have a car
This time, it rained on both days and we could not see the ocean, but the room was nice and it became a good memory. The staff were also kind and the food was very delicious
Most of the guests are adults, so it is quiet and calm
The four appetizers were not very impressive. The Yutoriro-style bouillabaisse was delicious, but it was disappointing that it was lukewarm. Since it was Atami (Izu), I was expecting sashimi, but it was carpaccio
The wash area was equipped with amenities such as lotion. We had dinner at a restaurant with an open kitchen that had a hot plate. We were seated at the counter by the window. Drinks were ordered by mobile phone
There is a foot bath, which I don't usually use, but this time I had wine and hot tea while bathing my feet after the bath. The foot bath was very popular, and quite a few people used it as soon as they arrived

There are no bathing facilities in the room, it is a bit troublesome to go to the hot spring bath; the indoor hot spring is very small, it is recommended to go directly to the outdoor one; the breakfast buffet options are many, dinner is very rich
The food was very delicious. The morning buffet was smooth and not too crowded. I wanted to use the sauna before leaving, but unfortunately the sauna only opens at 11am.
Room: Renovated, with new and clean facilities! Two washrooms, perfect for large groups! Dinner: Seafood in a generous portion, mountain produce, and even a dessert buffet - we were very satisfied! Bath: Men and women alternate between the large communal bath and indoor bath! The hot spring is spacious, and there is a reclining space so you can relax! Breakfast: We had both a Japanese and Western...
The main building is a little old, but it is only for overnight guests, so it is more relaxing. The only hot spring with free-flowing water is the rock bath in the new building
I stayed here with the intention of relaxing in my room, and it was exactly what I expected, and the price was reasonable, so it was a great memory
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and sumptuous, and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with friends
