Beautiful if aged ryokan with a spectacular dining experience.
Here is very nice Ryokang. Good service and All Staffs are very friendly especially A Nepali guy (Sorry, I didn't ask him name) He is very helpful and suggested us things to do in Yugawara. We are very appreciated here.
Expensive but worth it! The hospitality is top-notch, and the location is very quiet and serene. Dinner and breakfast were excellent (Kaiseki style), and the onsen was great. A perfect place to relax.

Overall, Yugawara is inferior to Karusawai in Hakone; the scenery is decent, but the development is extremely poor. It's very desolate at night, with almost nothing to explore. The hotel sofas were stained, and the Onsen faucet was very noisy, greatly affecting sleep. The kaiseki cuisine tasted like pre-made dishes from Lawson, with absolutely no flavor. Only the presentation was somewhat elegant.
The hotel generally is good, their food is good too. They provided me with a good service for my departure.
They listened to many of our requests and I was really impressed by their wonderful hospitality. I would definitely like to go again.
I like the room type very much
The food is average.
There is a hot spring in the room, which is very good.
The hotel staff are not very good in English and Japanese.
I don't know what language to speak to communicate smoothly.
Overall good. Recommended for guests who value privacy
Acceptable dinner food quality, but quite disappointed on low-class wooden chopsticks and strange mango pudding dessert , prefer to have seasonal fresh fruit instead.

We stayed here over the New Year holidays, and each meal was artistically presented and was excellent in terms of seasonality, local flavor, taste, and quantity.
As for the room, I recommend choosing a non-smoking room with a private toilet.
Traditional Japanese-style rooms, the hotel also has hot springs, dinner and breakfast are very exquisite, very good 👍🏻
Yugawara is a small hot spring town, by the sea, with a very good location, between Hakone and Izu. It is just not as famous as Hakone, and there are relatively few tourists, so it is quiet and peaceful.
I booked a total of two rooms based on the previous reviews; overall satisfied! It’s the closest to Atami, so I took the Yuyu bus near the station to Atami Castle and checked it out!
There is no bathroom in the room, but you can take a bath and soak in the public bathhouse. It is far from the subway station and it takes a lot of effort to walk there, but there is a shuttle bus to Atami during the day. The staff are very friendly, including grandparents and middle-aged employees.
I made a reservation right away after watching the drama Minato Boss Coin Laundry. I was asking about the drama, but it was a little disappointing that the staff didn't know. However, I was happy to be able to enjoy Omcheon wearing the yukata that the actors wore. Although it is an older ryokan, it is relatively clean and maintained. The meal was especially delicious. It's a bit far from the station...
The breakfast is rich and the service is attentive.

This was the most comfortable two-day stay we've had in Japan. Our room was spacious and relaxing, and having a private hot spring right in the garden made the experience truly special. The meals were exceptional - delicious, beautifully prepared, and generously served.
We're especially grateful to the okami who took care of us. Even though we don't speak Japanese, she communicated with patience and...
Great experience. As a foreign, I appreciated all the extra effort to understand each other. We got a room with a private onsen and it was wonderful. The food was also very good, we ended up very filled. The service to be picked up at the station was very convenient.
Wonderful stay. Facilities are lovely, staff is kind and attentive and the food was nice. Great way to usher in the fall.
Really enjoyed our stay there. We booked the executive suite for the full authentic experience with our own onsen. The dinner was a multi course meal, served in our room and the breakfast was a Kaiseki also served in our room. The food was very delicious and the presentation was amazing. Our favourite memory of Japan, and we had a lot of amazing memories of this place in our two week visit. It is definitely...
A stately inn built in the quiet area of Oku Yugawara. Good hospitality for a beautiful view. This is the best. There are some things that I am curious about, but the rating remains the same.

Take the free shuttle bus directly from Yugawara Station. The room is a single without a bathtub or shower, but there are plenty of outlets and USB ports. However, there are only two hangers. The food was delicious. The hot springs in the new building are mostly for day trips, and it can be uncomfortable when there are noisy groups of guests. The main building is a little old, but it is only for overnight...
I was surprised at how luxurious the food was for the price.
Thank you very much.
There are no bathing facilities in the room, it is a bit troublesome to go to the hot spring bath; the indoor hot spring is very small, it is recommended to go directly to the outdoor one; the breakfast buffet options are many, dinner is very rich.
I think it's a great place for couples to go. The fireworks were amazing. The bus ride costs about 1,600 yen per person.
Izuminoyu was very good. What's more, guests could use the baths for free the next day, and they even lent us towels. This is a very reasonable hotel, so I would like to use it again.
The room was clean and tidy,
the staff were very friendly,
the food was delicious and sumptuous,
and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with friends.
I stayed here with the intention of relaxing in my room,
and it was exactly what I expected,
and the price was reasonable, so it was a great memory.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel offers private hot spring rock baths and a clean public hot spring. It's a very quiet and relaxing place. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent.
We had a wonderful stay at Fukiya. The property is beautiful - a classic upscale Japanese Ryokan. The service was over the top. The entire staff was wonderful and gave us care beyond any experience we have had anywhere else, and the food and baths were wonderful. We highly recommend it.
Fukiya is an old ryokan on the hill in Yugawara village. Water of Natural hot spring seems to be active and healing.
Ryokan itself old but really good maintained. The place is extremely clean! Every tiny detail is cared of, you feel like it is titanic part of work to provide this level of cleanness.
The food. This was the best food among visited ryokans. It is really the highest level. The chef...
Just what my soul needed!
When I first arrived, I was a bit underwhelmed. I had just lost a cat also so I was a bit doomed. There are so many doors in the tatami room and it looks dark everywhere plus there are many things to remember and also the translator machine doesn’t make full sense. However, after the first soak and then the first dinner, everything make sense! Japanese are good at hitting...
we stayed in this wonderful ryokan with my family for one night during our trip to Japan. We wanted to try a typical Japanese experience and in this wonderful place we found it. Maybe a little uncomfortable because out from the tourist route but perhaps for that reason it is even more authentic. Super staff, super food, super experience.

My honest opinion is that it was a bit disappointing.
The staff at check-in only responded with "yes," we kept bumping into each other in the room, and they didn't know what rooms we were assigned to, so the customer service seemed sloppy for a place that costs over 100,000 yen a night.
Dinner was also just average, I'd say.
The staff were very polite and helpful!
Thank you for treating my child...
We enjoyed relaxing in the large public bath and the open-air hot springs.
For dinner, we were grateful for the chef's thoughtful preparations, with dishes such as abalone and shark fin.
For breakfast, we enjoyed delicious dishes such as filleted horse mackerel and dashi chazuke.
I heard that the person in charge of our rooms is still young and inexperienced, but I could see the landlady's guidance...
I participated in this hotel as part of a training trip for an alumni association. I think the atmosphere is good for socializing. The bath had a variety of amenities, which was nice. The open-air bath was a little small, so it was difficult to enjoy the view outside. However, the fact that there is no nighttime bathing time is a plus, as there are times when you just want to take a bath in the middle...
The other day, my friend and Megumi Onyado took care of me! The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of items, and everyone was delighted! The breakfast was delicious and I couldn't finish eating a lot of items. Also, the young lady in charge of the room was very kind and explained the dishes carefully! My friend was also very satisfied!
One disappointing thing is that there was no front...
Anyway, I thought the customer service was wonderful.
The food was of course delicious, the rooms were clean, and the hot springs had an open-air bath.
It was a young staff member, but I was able to spend a really good time because I was able to serve customers with great sincerity, from explaining the dishes to guiding the room. I'm just grateful.
It was very comfortable and I had a relaxing time. There was an open-air bath and a terrace in the room, and my elderly parents were happy to spend a relaxing time.
In-room dining is also very delicious.
My parents and I were a little too many. It was a nice meal though. The room was barrier-free and very relaxing.
I would love to hear from you again!

There are steep slopes near the inn, so walking is difficult, so we recommend taking a taxi. The hot spring has a semi-open-air bath and a completely open-air bath. The semi-open-air bath has a few insects flying around, so we don't recommend it. However, the completely open-air bath is clean and has a nice temperature, so we recommend you try it.

We were treated very well and had a very relaxing time.
Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and filling.
The bath was also very comfortable and wonderful. It really made me realize how great ryokans are.
Great ryokan, very traditional and attentive to our needs!
The dinner was great and the hot spring was very comfortable, but it was a bit out of the way.
The room was very big. We took three baths in the hot springs and it was very comfortable. Remember to include breakfast and dinner next time, otherwise it will be difficult to find food in Yugawara.

The Indian guy at the front desk was very handsome. The room was a little dated, but generally well-equipped. I use this hotel several times a year for fishing and work trips. It is crowded even on weekdays because there are discount plans. Credit cards are not accepted and payment is made in cash. Even if there are rooms available, they only accept about 20 groups. Is it because of a shortage of staff? The young part-time workers were working hard. From the reception on the first floor, you need to take the...
The open-air bath in the room was very spacious and comfortable. The large public bath was next to the room, but we enjoyed the open-air bath in the room, which was fed directly from the source. The quality of the hot spring is good, and the cold barley tea provided in the large public bath is also nice. Next time I plan to stay in a room with an open-air bath.
Old fashioned ryokan (Japanese style hotel). WiFi is bad because only available at reception and second floor, hot spring is good, room is comfy but cleanliness should be improved. Staffs are friendly and helpful, Good hospitality ryokan

I stayed at this hotel for a solo trip over the weekend. It's an older establishment, so it's a bit dated, but still nice. It's right in front of the ocean, with a panoramic ocean view from the balcony. When I arrived at Manazuru Station, there were no taxis available, so I waited 25 minutes. I loved it! ◎
The last thing I'll mention is the view from my room. (The photo is a longer shot from the third floor.)
The ocean view rivals those of hotels in Okinawa and Hawaii, and since it was the right time of year, we even got to see the Atami fireworks.

It was very clean and comfortable. Thank you very much.
The room was old. I was in a smoking room and the smell was terrible. There was no outlet in the bathroom so it was difficult to use the hair dryer. I was bothered by the names used here and there.
The room was a little too hot and the noise from the next room was loud.
The bath temperature is just right. However, the waterfall bath and jet bath are not working.

While the view from the room might not be spectacular, the food, rooms, and service were excellent. The place isn't very big, so it's very quiet and private.

I made Manyoko Bonsai at this inn.
It was a very good feeling as it was a traditional inn in Yugawara. If I had time, I wanted to take a hot spring for an additional fee.
Bonsai was also fun and I was at the entrance. Direct sales were also good.
It is a good old inn. The room feels old, but there is harmony in the beautiful room, and I felt seriousness in each place.
I was able to enjoy the open-air bath slowly.
It was my first time to take a room bath and eat in a room, but I was very satisfied. In particular, the meal was a "full course" of delicious fish both at night and in the morning, and I was full and ate too much.
The building of this inn is quite old,but everything was well maintained and kept clean.
Food for dinner and breakfast there was OK, and the hot spring with overflow system
was quite comfortable.
