Hakone, 65 Hakone Hakone-Machi, Kanagawa (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Lucky me, I got a room with a view of Mount Fuji!
Nice view and quiet place. my husband amazed the beautiful mountain and lake view!.
The hotel room is spacious, and on a clear day, you can see the snow-capped Mount Fuji directly from the seaside garden – it's absolutely stunning! This foldable makeup mirror is super cool! If you get a front-facing lake view room, you can literally lie down and enjoy the entire panorama from your room! The hotel is right next to the pirate ship pier and the H bus terminal! It's also really convenient...
Waking up to this view early in the morning is truly therapeutic.
This hotel has a long history and is beautifully decorated with great style. The surroundings are lovely, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and unwinding. A special shoutout to the ********* lady at the front desk; her service was incredibly detailed and attentive. She went above and beyond to help us when our downhill transportation was unexpectedly delayed.
Beautiful hotel with a perfect view of the lake and right next to public transportation options. The deluxe lake view room was huge and very clean.
The public onsen is small with just two pools, one onsen had an open view to the sky. Note that they have no gyms available.
The breakfast was great, a small main hot entree and unlimited sides, such as breads, salads, fruits, and drinks.
The only downside...

Hakone, 1300 Gora Hakone-Machi (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. The front desk staff can speak English and explained everything clearly, from the type of onsen, the bathing hours, meals, and how to get to our rooms (it was in a separate building). The onsen are great, the outdoor private bathtub...
Staying here alone was an absolute dream! The room had kimonos for some great photo ops, and the private onsen bath was incredibly relaxing. Every dish of the Kaiseki dinner was a work of art – so delicious I almost danced with joy. I felt so well taken care of from check-in to check-out. It's truly introvert-friendly, no awkwardness at all. I'm definitely staying here again on my next visit!
Fantastic location as it’s just at Gora station. The staff are friendly and nice. The meals are good and plentiful. Lots of free snacks and food throughout the day. Highly recommend. Beautiful sunrise from the room.
Our trip so great! They provide everything for you including snacks and fresh set of pajamas every day. The included breakfast and dinner were marvelous as well. The public onsens were awesome. You just need to find a time to go when there are not too many people. We had our dinner during the second shift (at 8pm) so we went to the onsen first, showered, and then went to dinner, which worked out perfectly...
Loved our stay here- food was exceptional, amenities were great and the location was right next to the Gora station. Very convenient!
The room is spacious and clean. The dinner was absolutely delicious 😋 Good location 👍🏻👍🏻

It was okay, and very clean. Walking into the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. Although it's an old hotel with a vintage interior, it has a charming feel, almost like stepping back into the Japanese dramas I watched as a kid. Despite its age, it's very well-maintained and clean, which made it comfortable. Everything else was pretty standard. The location was convenient.
This was my second stay at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel, and it's always the hotel with the best environment and largest rooms during my two-week trips to Japan. The room has a tatami area, which is perfect for relaxing and chatting. Waking up in the morning and standing on the balcony, you're greeted by lush greenery and the sound of a gurgling stream – it's an absolute treat for both body and mind. The bathroom...
The hotel's location is excellent. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, you take the elevator down to ground level, cross the bridge, and the hotel is a short walk on your right, up another elevator. If you want a private onsen, you'll need to book it separately for 2000 yen per person. We booked a standard double room; the facilities aren't brand new but are clean, and the room itself is larger than what you...
The hotel location is great and just next to Hakone Yumoto Station. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and includes lots of varieties. You could also reserve the private bath and the cost is reasonable. We took the French Restaurant for dinner which is amazing good.
This was the best hotel I stayed at during my Chinese New Year trip to Japan, though it was also the most expensive. The hotel is right by the Hakone-Yumoto station exit, just across the little red bridge, which is incredibly convenient for families with luggage or young children.
The hotel itself is comparable to a 4- to 5-star hotel in China. Both the service and facilities were excellent. They...
During our recent stay at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel, we found the location to be very convenient, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings of Hakone. The room we stayed in was clean and well-maintained, which contributed positively to our overall comfort.

The kaiseki dinner was absolutely delicious. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing, making this an amazing trip. I went without doing any research beforehand, but at the footbath bar where they serve welcome drinks, a staff member gave me a map and kindly recommended some great places to visit.
First time staying ryokan, was a great experience doing onsen in the room. The place was clean, and enjoyed the free welcome drinks and the foot bath.
Pros:
Nice hotel, close to the ski lifts and the train station. There's a great coffee shop across the street and all the sights are very close. The rooms are large and spacious. The service and staff are excellent. Breakfast and dinner are delicious; I'd say there's a lot of food. I also liked the lobby bar. We went for a massage and to the onsen.
Cons
The rooms have layers of dust on the walls,...
We took a room in the annex.
We had a terrace overlooking the valley below.
The onsen was on the terrace right next to the showers.
Rooms were quite nice with good views, but rooms tatami flooring was a little worn out, and the wifi was very slow. The public hot springs are small, and there is no view
Great inclusion. The food service place isn’t too flashy making the entire dinning experience a bit lacking. You can book up to 3 private bath session. I used the public bath early in the morning which is great too, had the entire place to myself.

Hotel is abit dated and old by now compared to when I stayed many years ago. Still it’s a relatively clean, nice and comfy hotel, with nice Fuji view in both onsen and surrounding area. Overall it’s a lovely stay and we are happy to be back again.
Hotel location is good connection to obako ropeway station. 3 min walk from the back of hotel. Good dinner and breakfast wt a lot selections.
Worth the room upgrading for a much bigger ryokan room with attached onsen. Fabulous! Food is great too!
Hotel is spaces and nice. Services and facilities was good. Foods just above average, not that fantastic and location was abit inconvenient and too far. Otherwise overall was ok.
Amazing hotel! The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The onsen is large and has beautiful views of Mount Fuji from the women's section, but unfortunately, I couldn't see it from the men's. The food was spectacular; I was surprised by the quality, especially for a buffet. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were very friendly and attentive. The only downside would...
The ryokan style room was clean and cozy, but a bit small for a family of 5. Buffet-style dinner and breakfast were decent, with selection of both Japanese and Western options.
Staff were very polite and helpful, front desk staff speaks good English too.

The package including two meals was pretty good value for money. You can send your luggage to the hotel from Yumoto Station. Dinner was a buffet, which was decent, but I personally prefer Japanese Kaiseki cuisine. 😊 The hot spring is large and has an outdoor section. Overall, it offers good value for money.
The room size was very big. But it’s rather old; many cigarette butts on the balcony floor so we didn’t even want to step out. Each time someone flushed the toilet it gave out such loud noise, which sound like a jet engine. It really needed some upgrade.
The onsen was the highlight of the stay. Very nice and relaxing. Breakfast was decent with many choices. Location wise it is rather far from the...
The location is quite convenient, and the food is good compare the price.
It has a very large space for the room. Staff were efficient and friendly.
The hotel is divided into a South Wing and a North Wing, with the restaurant and hot spring located in separate buildings. The hot spring area is quite spacious. Free parking and internet access are provided. Overall, it's pretty decent.
The room facilities are a bit old, but well-maintained. The room itself is quite spacious. There are multiple hot spring pools, both indoor and outdoor. The downside is the inconvenient transportation. We came from Kamakura and it took a long time to get here. The bus journey involved a lot of winding mountain roads, and I almost got carsick.

Not bad, pretty good overall, just the food felt a little perfunctory. The outdoor hot springs are great, and transportation is convenient with a bus stop just a short walk away.
Staying for one night with two meals for 2700 yen offered excellent value for money. The open-air bath on the balcony is not a hot spring; it's just hot water. There's one public hot spring and three private hot springs in the garden, which are the real deal. On the first day, I didn't realize our balcony bath was just hot water until I specifically asked the front desk and found out only the first...
The environment is great, but the staff's English isn't very good, and the food is pretty mediocre.
The guy who did the check in was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotless. I was not too well to go out but the place had every thing I need for relaxing and recovery.
The food was quite mediocre, and the location was inconvenient, but the service was very good.
Coming to Hakone in winter, hot springs are a must! My top choice is definitely a room with a private onsen, perfect for a peaceful moment for two. The private bath is a bit small, just right for one person to soak comfortably. The view from the balcony is beautiful, with lush green maple leaves layered with red and yellow. Dinner and breakfast were decent. However, the sink in the bathroom and the...

The hotel's shuttle bus was very convenient, the room was comfortable, breakfast was exquisite, and the hotel service was excellent. A wonderful memory.
This hotel is nestled in the mountains, and the service was decent. The facilities inside the hotel were all quite clean. Overall, it was good.
This hotel is great for seniors; the hot springs are nice, and while the facilities are a bit old, they're clean.
Environment: There aren't many other hotels nearby.
Hygiene: It's good; the cleaning staff does a good job.
A very good stay overall. Rooms were a bit dusty and mould on the bathroom ceiling. However staff were excellent and looked after us all the way.
The hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. It also offered flexible pickups and drop-offs at several attractions. After returning to the hotel, a soak in the hot spring was the perfect way to unwind and wash away the day's fatigue.
Spacious room and nice services. The breakfast has a great variety of choices. Hot spring is nice.

This place was nice for the money and the big selling point was the breakfast dinner plan that is worth getting
Overall is good, but food wise can be improved
The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. There's a hot spring for bathing, and it includes a one-night stay with two meals. The food selection was extensive and very rich. Overall, it's excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a beautiful environment, especially the Japanese garden 🏡 which is incredibly picturesque. Even though it's winter, the plum blossoms and cherry blossoms 🌸 in the courtyard are already in bloom, making for a pleasant stroll. There are also many cultural relics. The guest rooms are a bit dated, and the facilities are just average.
The hotel's location is excellent. The bus to Owakudani leaves right in front of the hotel. However, there was no snow, so the outdoor views from the hotel weren't particularly appealing, just mountains and bare branches. Since we didn't opt for a meal, the two futons were already laid out for us quite early.
We stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed. We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. My wife loved the gardens. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved...
The lady at the front desk spoke incredibly fast, regardless of whether you understood her or not. She quickly scribbled on a piece of paper, rapidly fulfilling her duty to inform, clearly a very indifferent person. When the air conditioner started in the room, it sounded like a turbocharger; the equipment is old. In the morning, a broadcast came on in the room, asking people to go to the parking lot...

I totally recommend it.
Just be aware that the onsens are naked and they separate females and males. I recommend to book for a private onsen and you can be with your partner
I opted for a two-meal option and would recommend this place to everyone; I think it's quite good value for money. However, there's no shower in the room, so you have to go to the public bathhouse to shower, and then you can soak in the hot spring. If you don't like soaking in the hot spring with a group, they have private bathhouses available for booking at 3500 yen per hour. I recommend them to everyone
The food was great and the open-air bath was the best. I will visit again. It was near the lake so the atmosphere was good and it was a quiet place so I could rest quietly.
A very local hot spring hotel. Although the facilities are old, it is cost-effective.
The hotel service is first-class, the room is large enough, clean and hygienic. It is close to the bus station and Taoyuandai Station. The dinner is also very rich. I enjoy soaking in the hot spring. The only drawback is that there is no shower room in the room. I have to go to the large bath every time.

Beautiful older style hotel, staff are attentive , baths are beautiful and comfortable beds, amenities is nice too with dyson hsirdryer.

A place stagnate in time, with timeless charm and good environment. Located conveniently nearby to Yumoto Station is a great plus for laid back area of Hakone. Service staff are friendly and attentive to details, and have no difficulty to communicate in English. Recommended for slow pace holiday
Excellent! This onsen ryokan, operating for over 70 years, boasts 9 natural spring sources, a clear testament to its authentic *gensen kakenagashi* (free-flowing hot spring water) system.
