Reviews
For dinner, we were grateful for the chef's thoughtful preparations, with dishes such as abalone and shark fin.
For breakfast, we enjoyed delicious dishes such as filleted horse mackerel and dashi chazuke.
I heard that the person in charge of our rooms is still young and inexperienced, but I could see the landlady's guidance and her hard work, and we had a very pleasant time.
Thank you.
We are grateful for the couple's chopsticks we received to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The staff at check-in only responded with "yes," we kept bumping into each other in the room, and they didn't know what rooms we were assigned to, so the customer service seemed sloppy for a place that costs over 100,000 yen a night.
Dinner was also just average, I'd say.
The staff were very polite and helpful!
Thank you for treating my child so kindly.
Other reviews have been mixed, so it may be a hit or miss situation.
I think the kids' room is fun for kids up to about 3 years old!
Just be aware that it's closed during dinner (it would have been nice to be able to use it, as kids get bored and make a lot of noise)
A suite in the main building with an indoor bath cost 67,000 yen per person per night.
Apparently, it was about 20% more expensive than usual.
The room was spacious and nice, with a separate dining area and bedroom, but unfortunately, the service was not at all commensurate with the price.
I wouldn't say this inn was terrible, but it wasn't worth the price.
- Drinks were self-service at the reception in the lounge.
- Even after being shown to our room, they didn't make us tea. I thought it was Nakai-san, the room attendant, but it was just a guide.
- The food was supposed to be special New Year's dishes, but it didn't feel very New Year's. It felt like dinner at a slightly nicer inn, which was disappointing.
You make your own tea at dinner.
The tuna sashimi was just regular lean meat. It wasn't fatty tuna...
- Dishes that should have been cooked and served hot, such as gratin, grilled fish, and spiny lobster, were pre-made and cold. (The spiny lobster was served under the guise of a "salad," but it seemed like nothing more than an excuse for only being able to serve something cold.)
I'm sure the cooks had a hard time, but how would you feel if you paid over 60,000 yen for a night's stay and were served a cold gratin?
The next morning, there was no New Year's feeling and it was just a regular breakfast with ozōni instead of rice.
-For dinner on the second day, spiny lobster was served again.
This time it was grilled with white sauce and, unlike yesterday, it was warm, but it basically tasted the same. I wonder if they'd serve it two days in a row?
Also served at the same time were three snow crab legs. They were probably just cut up and placed on a plate after being purchased as boiled crab.
Boiled crab can be eaten at home, so isn't it embarrassing to serve food you're not working on?
Plus, what's the point of serving shrimp and crab at the same time? The idea that people will be happy if you serve shrimp and crab is just outdated.
After that, there was a gap of about 30 minutes before the last dish was served. Also, despite breakfast being due at 8:30 the next morning, the food only arrived at 7:15.
They seemed seriously short-staffed, and I felt sorry for the person serving the food.
The table in the main Japanese-style room is small and can only hold tea and snacks.
They rent out board games at the front desk, but you can't play them here.
It's incomplete. You can't relax.
When going to the large public bath, you have to pass by the courtyard, which is outside and so it's cold.
I also pass by here after my bath.
I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.
It seems like they're probably understaffed and operations aren't running smoothly. I'm sure they're having a lot of management difficulties, but if that's the case, they should charge a price that's commensurate with that.
From a customer's perspective, even if it's the New Year's rate, I think it should be 40,000 yen at most.
30,000 yen would be reasonable normally.
For some reason, the meat for dinner was Hida beef. I felt it lacked a bit of a local feel. I thought it was a good inn where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
The bath has an indoor bath and a semi-open-air bath, but it is not a free-flowing hot spring. It seems that hot spring water is added, but I do not know the ratio.
I am satisfied with the quality of the shower water and the quality of the shampoo. I was a little worried about the smell in the dressing room, but I soon got used to it.
The room was spacious and clean, but it felt a little old, and the yukata provided seemed to have fulfilled its role and was worn out.
The food was filling, but nothing on the menu left a lasting impression. Since we use carefully selected ingredients, wouldn't it be better to cook to bring out the goodness of the ingredients a little more?
There are no facilities in the building where you can play, so I think it would be nice to go out for a walk.
Although it is ☆☆☆ when evaluated by the number of stars, I sincerely appreciate the staff's response.
One disappointing thing is that there was no front desk on the way home and no one at the entrance, so it was a bit lonely!
It can't be helped because everyone is busy 😢
The food was of course delicious, the rooms were clean, and the hot springs had an open-air bath.
It was a young staff member, but I was able to spend a really good time because I was able to serve customers with great sincerity, from explaining the dishes to guiding the room. I'm just grateful.
In-room dining is also very delicious.
My parents and I were a little too many. It was a nice meal though. The room was barrier-free and very relaxing.
I would love to hear from you again!
It was my first trip in three years because of the coronavirus, but the hot springs were very good, and the food was delicious, like kaiseki cuisine, which came out little by little.
My elderly mother, who went with me, liked the footbath, so she took a footbath even after taking a hot spring bath.
The flowers in the corner of the hallway have also enriched my heart.
I was able to use the Kanagawa trip discount, so it was a great deal.
It was an inn I want to come back to again ^ _ ^
thank you very much! ︎
