Located just a block or two from JR Oita Station (and mall), it is also adjacent to a large Shōtengai (covered street shopping district), it is surrounded by walkable dining and shopping and is an excellent starting point for deeper explorations of Oita, or even a short day trip up to Beppu by rail, about 20 minutes away, though you don't need to go anywhere to relax features a ground floor onsen as well! The front desk was extremely helpful throughout my stay, and making the usual arrangements was easy. The location is quiet at night but feels connected to the pulse of the city.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Oita Station.
There's a convenience store nearby, but you have to cross a traffic light, so it might not be as close as you think.
There are plenty of restaurants within a 5-minute walk.
Also, I was happy that there's a large public bath on the first floor of the hotel.
It seems to be a natural hot spring, but it appears to be heated, and because of that, the water temperature was a little too hot for me.
I wish the water temperature was lower so I could soak for a longer time.

The hot springs might be a bit disappointing for those prioritizing cleanliness. I was lucky to have a hot spring in such a convenient location, so it was acceptable for me.

There's a convenience store nearby, and the room is perfectly fine if you're just looking for a place to sleep!

It feels like a traditional business hotel.

While not spacious, the fact that it has a hot spring bath and is less than 10 minutes from the station, combined with the price, makes it very attractive.

Approximately 3 times expensive compare with Japanese website and English website.
