The twin room was 26 square meters, clean and tidy. I stayed on the 16th floor, where I could see Beppu Bay to the left and trains arriving and departing from the station to the right. Both breakfast and dinner were substantial, and a special highlight was being able to try the local specialty, 'Jigoku Mushi' (hell-steamed dishes), cooked with 98-degree hot water directly from the onsen.

Hotel has nice hot spring. Single room typical Japanese style but a bit narrow to accommodate 24” luggage with both sides fully open. Buffet has good spread, but the meat stew serving was limited, after 8am there’s no more meat in the stew, left with the carrots, lotus roots etc. should refill as the buffet ends 930am. Like the hot noodles.

The location is decent, about a 5-minute walk from the JR station. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is acceptable. The room didn't have much of a view and you could hear the train. The onsen and breakfast areas were very crowded. This Kamenoi wasn't as good as the one we stayed at previously in Toba. The hot springs in Beppu are definitely worth visiting!

Pricing on a weekday wasn’t that bad for a business hotel near the station. Their receptionists were kind and accommodating. Our room was small but tidy enough to feel relaxed throughout the night. Not so great things: their television and antenna were troublesome, the carpeted flooring was soiled, the aircon’s remote control looked like a fragile remnant from the ‘90s 😅

The room is too small but considering the location and price, it is quite reasonable. The room and a bathroom is clean. The best thing of this hotel is obviously, a location. Just in front of Oiata station, so you can easily go anywhere, also the airport.

a 12 mins walk needed from hotel to train station, which is managable. Room tiny, not advisable to have too much luggage. Though small, surprising it still have needed amenities like many other established hotel. Overall, it's a good for short stay, acceptable especially when the price is good

Very delicious breakfast at a great price. A free welcome drink is provided in the lobby, though there are limited options suitable for kids. The staff were very kind and helpful. The parking lot for larger vehicles is a bit far from the hotel.

Great hotel. Room is big as compared with others. Clean too! Around 10 mins walk from oita station. Love the surrounding areas. It's an arts heritage place. There is a Aaf just behind the hotel! A Lawson is just downstairs! Some eateries near the place. I use this as a base to visit yufuin and Beppu! Will love to stay here again when I visit Oita.

This is the best hotel I have been visit. I visit Japan 4-6 times a year, which different venue accommodation have been stayed. The price performance ratio is brilliant, and the parking is very decent as well.

We booked 3 rooms n everyone complained it’s v warm in the room n the window can only b opened slightly. I couldn’t sleep n called the reception to complain. They sent staff to my room n with phone translation she said the hotel facilities is old so air con is not cold! I asked if they have a fan but have to rent it. As a One Harmony member of the hotel, expect better service!

This is my second time staying at the hotel. Because the location is super convenient. Very near to Oita Station. Same as other Dormy Inn, there is free noodles at night. I didn't have chance to try their noodles. Because there are so many good foods at Oita / Beppu.

Conveniently located about 100 meters from Oita Station exit, making it quick and easy to get to. The hotel, as always, was very comfortable and the hot springs were fantastic. However, the breakfast seemed not as good as other Dormy Inn locations. Overall, still recommended.

I've stayed at Dormy Inn in many places across Japan, and this one in Oita felt just like home. This hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Oita Station, to the left after exiting. It's also very close to Beppu. The bathroom features a separate wet and dry area, and the bedding is comfortable. The women's public bath has both indoor and outdoor pools. The complimentary ramen and ice cream in the evening are a thoughtful touch, and there's also water and snacks in the fridge

The room's window opens to an unobstructed view of the blue sky, and the hotel's hot spring is very comfortable. The space isn't large but it's cozy, very clean, and quiet.

The room was quite clean, and it even had a hot spring. The surrounding area is very convenient with plenty of food options. It's right next to the Oita TV Tower and not far from the JR station. The yakiniku (grilled meat) and tempura places nearby were absolutely delicious.

The hotel is right next to Beppu Tower, and Beppu Station is also very close. It looks really nice at night. There are two supermarkets nearby, which is convenient for buying food, and it's also easy to get to several hot springs. I'm writing this review a long time after my stay, so I've forgotten if there was a hot spring in the hotel itself.

Great location, the hotel is directly in front of a shopping street and next to the hotel was a place with many restaurants. The car park is convinient, you need to pay a small sum for a parking spot managed by the hotel. The staff here are friendly and nice.

This was a nice hotel in a very good location. There are lots of restaurants and places to drink nearby. The hotel itself was very clean but it didn't have an internal smoking area, although there were plenty of smoking areas outside the hotel. The room was a small one but there are very comfortable beds.

The location is just 5 mins walk away on the right (in the direction of APA hotel) after exiting from the main Oita JR station. Great! The reception staff are friendly. This hotel is a bit far from JR Oita Station, and it can be tiring to walk back and forth if you're using it as a transfer point between Beppu and Yufuin. It's an older hotel that's been renovated, but the furniture is still old, and the bedding comfort is just average; the duvet was too thick. The room size is quite large for Japan. Large comfortable clean room. I loved the rooftop onsen. The breakfast and dinner were good, not 5*, but certainly you can find some nice food to fill you up. The only thing I really didn't like was there was no WiFi anywhere except the lobby, and there is nowhere comfortable to sit in there. WiFi is a basic requirement nowadays.

The ryokan style room is very spacious with beautiful sea view. We loved the indoor & outdoor onsen. Good spread at the buffet dinner and breakfast. A very relaxing stay! There is also a DONKI nearby the hotel.

The free afternoon tea everyday is a big plus. It's also close to the station, walk 5-8mins only. A Lawson is within 5 mins. Hotel is classy and clean.

Located on the west side of Miyakoji, a bustling downtown area, it's perfect for business dinners. While the accommodations are undeniably a bit dated, having access to a large public bath with a sauna was a definite plus.

There are many foreign staff members, but we didn't have any particular problems dealing with them. There is a height limit in the multi-story parking garage, so the type of car you can use may be limited. If you have a small, maneuverable car, you may not be able to fit it in because cars these days are so tall. It takes time to get your car out of the garage in the morning, so we recommend going...

Not near to any popular spot. Average room size given it is Japan where we sat at the dinning area for the BIG space. Best of the deal is free car parking, and the Onsen is big and the water feel smooth, and come with a free massage chair. The breakfast has variety for any travellers. English is doable and explain in details by Gaikokujinrōdōsha

I stayed here because I had to go to the ferry terminal early in the morning. It was very convenient, with Toyoken (a famous chicken tempura restaurant) nearby and a supermarket within walking distance. The bath is indoors, but it was very clean and nice. I was able to watch YouTube on the TV in the room.

The breakfast selection was quite good. The only downside was that the hotel parking lot was across the street. It just so happened that it was raining heavily the day I arrived. The room was spacious and the view from the window was beautiful. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I stayed in a smoking room. I'm a smoker so it was good because there are only non-smoking rooms available these days. The breakfast was also delicious and I ate too much. The hotel staff were always smiling and helpful so I was very satisfied.

Triple room for a family of four. The hot spring is only an indoor bath, but it's great value for money. I recommend not ordering breakfast, but looking for a place that serves breakfast instead!

The staff were great, they slid me a room even though I had left my passport behind. Did laundry, ate dinner at the supermarket across the way, slept well, ate a decent breakfast (included) and rode off into the morning. It's inexpensive so temper your expectations and you'll be OK.

Super close to Oita Station! There's a hot spring on the top floor, but it gets very crowded because even non-guests can buy tickets to use it. There's also a garden and a shrine on the rooftop.

As a solo traveler, I found the customer service staff extremely friendly and attentive. They truly went above and beyond. It is also very suitable for families of all sizes. If I ever have the chance to visit Oita again in my lifetime, this would definitely be my first choice.

The rooftop onsen is absolutely fantastic, offering distant views of Beppu Bay. There's also a cafe run by an old gentleman in the shopping street, and their breakfast is delicious 😋

We stayed in room 1812 for a night. The room was bigger than the standard Japanese hotel rooms and the view was breathtaking. This hotel provides all the amenities that required by guest. Bakeries served during break are freshly baked, crisp & hence delicious. Alcoholic guest give a  Thumb up for this hotel as hotel served alcoholic drink as welcome drink.

It is right next to Beppu station, the onsen is overnight though I have not try but at least they provide, no check out procedures, free breakfast, password instead of room key and free drink is super convenient. The room with Seaview and spacious with a sofa bed is out of expectation. Everything is perfect at this price.

This hotel deserves a great review! It's very affordable, and the location is fantastic – just a 5-minute walk from Beppu Station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Good view, good services. The room's balcony offered a beautiful full sea view, and the room itself was very spacious. However, breakfast was served in a separate building, which was a bit inconvenient, and the food selection was limited and unappetizing.
