CHEAP & CLEAN
12.01.2026 CLDYe
This was my first time staying here to attend a New Year's party, and the room was thoroughly cleaned and there was very little air conditioning smell.
However, the vents under the windows hadn't been cleaned and were full of dust...but on the other hand, it's actually rare to find a place that clean.
I was happy that there were a lot of electrical outlets.

However, the lobby smelled of cigarettes.
This might be a negative for some people.
Breakfast is served in the lobby, so it might be a bit strong for people who don't like strong smells.
The breakfast was a hearty Japanese meal and I thought it was delicious.
I was also happy to have hot miso soup.

I realized there was an art museum next door before I left the next morning, and I'd like to visit the Oita Prefectural Art Museum next time. If I have the opportunity, I might stay again.

The hot water in the shower didn't come out at night. It was restored at 11:30 PM and was announced over the in-house announcement. I was woken up by the announcement and couldn't sleep after that. The room was clean.

It's basically a business hotel that only accommodates singles.
It's located behind the large music hall, iichiko Grand Theatre, so I stayed here when my favourite artist was there for a live performance. It's close to the city centre and the entertainment district (Miyakomachi), so I think it's easily accessible.
It appears the owner has changed, and I found my stay more comfortable than last time. The beds are now Simmons, and the other facilities are cleaner than before. It felt a little small, but as it's a business hotel, it was sufficient for a single occupancy.
I chose the room with breakfast included, and it was delicious, with a rich Japanese bento box that was unusual for a business hotel.

I stayed alone for work.
The hotel itself was old, but not dirty.
I was only there for the night, so I didn't have any complaints.
It seems they don't serve breakfast. There may have been one at the front desk, but there was no hair dryer. There was no refrigerator, and the amenities were not very well-equipped.
