Apahotel Sagaeki-Minamiguchi in Saga

Very convenient and lots of restaurants nearby.
The staffs are very helpful.

It's closer to the station than you think, so you don't have to worry about late at night.
There's a small but great public bathhouse to relieve fatigue, and the coffee provided as a welcome drink is delicious and the staff is friendly.

The floor is carpeted and the room is dry, so I was disappointed that there was no air purifier that also has a humidifier, but it's the best in terms of cost-effectiveness!
If your only purpose is to sleep, it's not a bad choice, but if you're staying at the hotel for a long time, you might be disappointed.

The staff kindly guided me through the check-in.
The room was minimal, with a unit bath and a shower where you had to adjust the hot and cold water, but it was fine for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was mainly Japanese and very delicious.
There was rice, nori seaweed, and nama* from Saga Prefecture, which went down well with the rice. I was also happy to see tomatoes available.

Clean, quiet hotel. Bathroom floor level with the room. Good room except the seal around the window was not totally tight and there was a slight draft of freezing air. The blackout curtains helped block most of the cold but I still had 2 climates in the room, the heater kept about 2/3 of the room warm but the 1/3 of the room next to the window was cold. No under bed storage area is a problem in a small room but there was enough room between the foot of the bed and window to lay my open suitcase down. Although next to the window my clothes were always cold. TV is big but firmly bolted to the wall against the corner so the HDMI port is near impossible to access. Breakfast is good, staff is nice. Great location a couple of blocks from the station.

APA Hotel, a representative of mid-low-priced business hotels, always seems to be in the middle when you go there.

Compared to the Livmax chain of the same category, Livmax mainly uses new buildings, while APA does not. However, in terms of service, APA is better. It has more amenities, provides ice and ice cups, and has relatively good soundproofing.
However, because it is an old building, hot and cold water are separated, which is inconvenient.

Apa hotel is known for their "value for money" accommodation. Basically, you pay for the basic necessities and what you see is what you get.

Im satisfied with the room in the hotel as it was just a short stay. Though the sound proof isn't that good, but i think it is acceptable for a no frills hotel.

It was just a short 5 to 7 mins walk to JR saga station.

And I would like to highlight that a staff by the name of 秦 M. HATA was super meticulous and patience when she assisted me with my queries. I would like to compliment her for her great service.

The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a Saga bus terminal and a mart nearby, so it is the best location.
