Grand Hyatt Hotel

The hotel is good and the location is convenient, but we are disappointed with the welcomeness we received. We drove to the hotel, no one greeting or assisting at the drop off area, security was ignoring check in guest and asking to move our car away, the bell boy desk staff was chatting without coming out to assist until requested, front desk staff was professional but not a warm welcome. The hotel amenities are good but the service was not up to standard in Japan, especially when they wear the brand of Gran Hyatt.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right by Canal City and not too far from the airport. The breakfast was incredibly generous. My only minor complaint would be the price, which was a little on the expensive side, but honestly, there's nothing else to fault.

We stayed for two nights, and both the room and bathroom were very spacious. The location was incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and drinks, with Ichiran Ramen also just a short walk away. I accidentally left my mouse and facial cleanser behind, but when I returned, the staff went above and beyond to help me find them. Truly outstanding service!

While the hotel clearly shows its age, the service and location are still excellent. It has a distinct 'old money' vibe. We paid extra to upgrade to a twin room, which offered a much better view and a larger space. The pool was uncrowded and very clean. If you're visiting with children, please note that you'll need to reserve a slot for the pool one day in advance.

The Grand Hyatt Fukuoka is situated in the heart of Hakata, offering a tranquil retreat despite its convenient, central location. Rooms boast stunning city or harbor views. The standout feature is **Club Olympus**, the executive lounge, which offers exquisite all-day dining services. From freshly prepared breakfasts and afternoon tea to evening cocktail hours, the quality is consistently exceptional. We especially recommend the Saga beef appetizers and signature cocktails served in the evening. The rooms blend modern design with Japanese aesthetics, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. The large communal bath features wonderfully soft water, and the sauna facilities are excellent. Service is exceptionally attentive, and the front desk can assist with reservations at popular restaurants. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers, it's a top choice for luxury accommodation in Fukuoka city center.

The overall service was excellent, even surpassing the service attitudes I've experienced at 5-star hotels in Osaka. My only minor feedback is that the hotel is a bit dated; a renovation would make it truly perfect, and I'd be willing to pay a slightly higher price afterward.

The sole disappointment was the hotel's swimming pool. While advance reservations were required (which we diligently made throughout our stay), we repeatedly observed guests and children without bookings being allowed immediate entry, often attempting to share our reserved lane. This made the purpose of the reservation system unclear and significantly detracted from our experience.

Nice welcome, simple room with the basics in place. Breakfast in the club lounge delicious. Great location.

Definitely the best The Ritz-Carlton hotel I had stayed unlike the usual old grandeur style. The Ritz‑Carlton, Fukuoka is newly opened on 21 June 2023 and is Kyushu’s first Ritz‑Carlton, occupying the top nine floors of a stunning 25‑storey glass tower

Stayed at the Deluxe Suite (75 m²) this trip which is very spacious, comprising of a king‑bed bedroom and a separate living room perched on a quiet corner 
The bathroom is another highlight with a sculpted free‑standing tub, rainfall shower, and dual sinks carved from luxurious Mont Carmelo granite—each detail framed by sweeping cityscape views and natural sunlight pouring in. Throughout the suite, refined touches include natural woods, artful Hakata‑ori textile accents, and ambient lighting—creating a serene atmosphere that pays homage to local crafts

Hotel is linked to Canal City Hakata with underground carpark. Not walking distance to the more popular areas like Tenjin or Hakata. Service was good as usual for 5 star hotel
