Mars Garden Hotel Hakata in Fukuoka

Perfect location, only two minute walk from Hakata Station. Clean and comfortable. I stayed there for one night, then continued my trip to Yufu by train.

Great location within 3min walk from Hakata station. Very convenient to take JR and Shinkansen to other attractions. Staff are friendly and well coming. Room are big small but clean and comfortable stay. The amenities very nice with Sekkisei. Highly recommend!

Overall is great! I am satisfied with the service and location of the hotel. The CP value is high.

The staffs are so nice. The location of the hotel is perfect. Family Mart is directly next to the back door of the hotel. Lawson is only 2-3min walking distance away.
Bus stop and train station are so close too which is around 5mins walk only. If choosing Eco cleaning only, 1 small bottle of drink per person is freed.

Though poor pillows and mattresses, and tiny room which merely allows the full opening of 1 luggage. These are typical for most hotels in Japan at this price.

The hotel is very close to Hakata station around five minutes walk from the hotel. This is probably my most favorite part about this hotel.

Very accessible to all tourists spots , airport , shopping , train station and very helpful people of the hotel , everyday u get all essentials u need .

The room was small but had everything I needed. The front desk staff were all very friendly and would greet me proactively. Housekeeping was done daily and the room was kept very clean and tidy. The hotel's location is also excellent, very close to the Hakata Station complex, and there's a direct express bus right outside the station that goes to Fukuoka Airport's International Terminal. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Fukuoka! 👍

I chose Mars Garden Hotel Hakata because I wanted something right next to the JR lines and the Shinkansen, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect.
Realistically, the hotel is only about 50 metres from the station entrance. You’re basically right beside the station car park—yet somehow, it’s incredibly quiet. That combination alone is amazing.
Even as a solo traveller in a single room, the experience was outstanding. It may be slightly pricey for strict budget travellers, but it is 100% worth it. Location-wise, you honestly couldn’t ask for better.
The lobby feels like a five-star hotel. The staff are excellent, everything is spotless, and the overall atmosphere feels premium from the moment you walk in. My room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed.
The single room is small (as expected in Japan), but extremely well designed. The bathroom is compact yet very comfortable, with a proper bathtub, a good sink setup, and a clean, modern layout. The room also had a Sony TV with Netflix, YouTube, and other apps, which was a great bonus.
My only small issue was with the laundry dryers. After two 30-minute cycles, my clothes were still slightly damp. This seems fairly common in Japan, but I noticed the dryer on the 10th floor was especially slow, possibly due to lint buildup. The washer itself was very good.
Overall, this is one of those rare moments where, as a solo backpacker, you stay somewhere and genuinely feel it was worth every penny. I’ve been travelling around Asia for seven years, and this is honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed.
Quiet, perfectly located, high quality, and extremely comfortable.
I couldn’t recommend Mars Garden Hotel Hakata more. Five stars all around.

We checked into Mars Garden Hotel on Christmas Eve and arrived at Hakata around 5pm. The traffic was horrible probably due to the festive season and Christmas Market at the Hakata Station. It took us more than an hour to find the hotel and it's parking. I managed to get a place to park and quickly went down to the reception. There was this super nice petite lady attended to me showing me where to park and how to get back to the hotel. She was so nice and pleasant communicating with me with her phone translate into English and smiling all the way which make my day. When I checked in she gave me Christmas presents and helped us with our luggage. The next day she was still around at the reception giving us a big smile. Nothing beats the great smile and I'm glad that it was her serving us the night we checked in.

The location is excellent as it is very near to both Hakata station and the bus stop to airport , about 3-5 minutes walk. The hotel provides sekkisei skin cares in the bathroom which is a bonus. Staff are friendly and helpful. They stored my luggage for two days while I was away and charged 500yen per luggage per day which is reasonable too. However,  I find a lack of space in the room for luggage. I booked the 18m room with twin beds. The walking path is narrow and can hardly open my luggage and I am only carrying a cabin n medium sized luggage and they only provide three hangers in the room 😆
