Fantastic Higashiyama Onsen♨️ The buffet was amazing, and the hot springs were so relaxing 😌 The staff's service attitude was excellent 👍🏻

The friendly service, delicious meals, outdoor hot springs, and even the shuttle service made this a perfect two-day, one-night stay. I'm so grateful that I was able to book this hotel at such a low price, even though it was a weekend! I'd love to stay here again next time I visit the Aizu area.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I was planning to visit Izasumi Shrine. The hotel was smooth from pick-up upon arrival to check-in, and they even offered welcome drinks. I thought, "Maybe they're leaning toward the all-inclusive trend these days?" but I was a little disappointed when they only offered coffee and juice... The room size was pretty good, like a slightly larger business...

An average hot spring hotel, not as beautiful as I'd imagined. The hot spring design was thoughtful, but the buffet food quality was just okay. The artificial beef was a definite drawback. Not a top choice.

It was right in front of the station and easy to find, so I had no trouble getting there. Although the building is retro, the guest rooms have been renovated and are new and clean. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay!

The hotel is very basic. You get what you pay for. Overall it is a normal hotel that can be used as a stay to get up early and go to the station.

Located pretty close to the Aizuwakamatsu JR train station, which is one of the attraction. Overall the hotel/room seems to be slightly old but clean. The room is comfortable and I had good 2 night sleep! Would be great if there's a water cooler/water dispenser (for hot summer days!)

The Route Inn hotel brand is reliable, as always. We stayed at Route Inn hotels throughout our entire trip in Japan, and it's definitely worth coming back. However, the breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise at first, felt a bit repetitive after 10 days.

Great value for money hotel for a couple's one-night stay.

The hotel staff were very friendly, the building was clean and I had a pleasant stay. It's the same no matter which Route Inn I stay at, so I'll definitely stay again.

The large public bath was kept clean, and it was a bonus that it was worth it just for being there. I only had breakfast, but I was satisfied with the variety, quantity, and taste, even in times of rising prices. Another plus was that you could take coffee back to your room in a paper cup.

Just few minutes walk from the train station. Suprise me with buffet breakfast even I did not book with breakfast.  The breakfast is decent.  Value for money to stay in this hotel.  The only problem is the wall is not sound proof.  I could hear the next door noise when they speak kindly. It disturb my sleep

I've stayed at other Toyoko Inn hotels before, but this one felt like it had a wider variety of breakfast options. The shower pressure wasn't the best, but compared to other hotels nearby, I'd still highly recommend it.

Should have booked dinner earlier as it's so popular. As hubby is demon slayer fan. He so excited to watch shaminsen performance. Also there are play areas for both kids and adults. Nostalgia TV GAMEs so popular.

Very unique hotel, room is big and nice.. only down side is the location. Accordingly left my credit card in the room And managed to retrieve in a short notice. Thankful for that. A small retail shop downstairs but only open on certain hours.

Very unique onsen ryokan that has been servicing for years. Food quality is at its best, as well as services. Building may show sign of dated but still functioning perfectly. Good for a weekend getaway!

The onsen was wonderful and dinner was also very good. The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. Since I booked the most affordable room option. the room itself felt a bit outdated, but overall the experience was enjoyable.

It was honestly so pretty. The whole place feels like a proper onsen escape, staff were really friendly, and the open-air bath was just… perfect (especially in the cold, with cliff view and snow fall). It was a very reasonable stay. I parked my car in the hotel's parking lot and then went sightseeing in the surrounding area. Tsuruga Castle, Nanokamachi Street, and Mt. Imori are all within walking distance, so I was able to explore at my leisure. Breakfast was a buffet, with both Japanese and Western dishes available. I even got some honey, and I was full.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and smiling. There's a 7-Eleven and a FamilyMart a little way in front of the hotel, which is quite convenient. They also offer complimentary coffee for hotel guests on the first floor from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, which is a nice touch.

There's a small parking lot behind the hotel, with space for about 10 cars. The rooms have central air conditioning and also include a separate heating and cooling unit. This time, I got a double bed, which was a bit firm—a minor drawback. If you choose a one-night stay with two meals (dinner and breakfast), the light food restaurant downstairs is the option.

As the inn is located on the banks of a fast-flowing river, I thought I might be able to hear the sound of the river at night, but the windows facing the exterior walls were double-glazed, providing soundproofing and protection from the cold, making it a great inn. The service from staff was excellent and very thoughtful. Food, although kaiseki, had interesting modern touches and was very good. Pity it doesn’t have the onsen town feel of Shibu-Onsen and the like, but would recommend it for a few days stay. We’d likely return in future.

Had great experiences onsen at Konjakutei. Although both 2 baths are quite small but no issue. Almost no other user at the bathroom when I was using it. Trip.com showed breakfast and dinner included, but the confirmation email only listed breakfast. Trip.com's price was also the most expensive. The service was good, and they offered a welcome drink, but I was shorted on dinner.

A beautiful old traditional wooden building in a quiet street. We chose a Japanese room with floor futons though I glimpsed the interior of at least one other room which had beds. Our room was actually 2 large spaces - one set up with the futons on tatami mats and the other set up with a low table, 2 low chairs and the TV. My stay was in wintertime. The hotel is made of old Japanese style house, which did not have sufficient heating system. There was an air conditioner in the room but the room was always too cold to stay and uncomfortable.

I chose Higashiyama Onsen for my stay during my trip to Aizuwakamatsu. I was attracted by the recommendation for dinner at this inn and decided to stay there.
