Should have booked dinner earlier as it's so popular. As hubby is demon slayer fan. He so excited to watch shaminsen performance. Also there are play areas for both kids and adults. Nostalgia TV GAMEs so popular.

Very unique hotel, room is big and nice.. only down side is the location. Accordingly left my credit card in the room
And managed to retrieve in a short notice. Thankful for that. A small retail shop downstairs but only open on certain hours.

Very unique onsen ryokan that has been servicing for years. Food quality is at its best, as well as services. Building may show sign of dated but still functioning perfectly. Good for a weekend getaway!

The onsen was wonderful and dinner was also very good. The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. Since I booked the most affordable room option. the room itself felt a bit outdated, but overall the experience was enjoyable.

It was honestly so pretty. The whole place feels like a proper onsen escape, staff were really friendly, and the open-air bath was just… perfect (especially in the cold, with cliff view and snow fall).
Only thing: it’s far from the station... its not possible to walk there, especially in winter. But they make it easy, they have a shuttle to Ashinomaki Onsen Station, and there’s also Bus No. 12 from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, from the bus stop it’s like a 5 min walk.
Would 100% go again.

This onsen is a must-visit! It feels like stepping back in time, listening to the shamisen. There are also many beautiful spots for photos.

I came here specifically for the hotel's famous lobby design and performances. The two-hour show was a really enjoyable experience. The hotel room felt quite new, I assume it's been renovated. The open-air hot spring offers a view of the river outside, and it was particularly relaxing when snow started falling in the morning.

I especially loved the hot spring's body wash, which uses local fruit and has a wonderful fragrance.

After a soak, I ordered a recommended winter beer, but the flavor was quite bland.

I felt one of the front desk staff members was a bit slow to react; I asked a question and got stared at for a while.

The breakfast options weren't particularly extensive. However, the special *sōryōri* (creative cuisine) was absolutely delicious, with a very unique taste.

We took the hotel shuttle bus to the station. We had a lot of luggage, but the hotel still helped us with it, which was great.
