This is an excellent Ryokan in the Yutagawa onsen. The room is so spacious, the atmosphere is so nice and we feel so comfortable. The food, in particular the dinner, is very delicious. Moreover, the staff are so kind and helpful. We were also surprised and impressed by the firefly viewing tour arranged after the dinner time. It was so interesting and memorable. In short, this is one of the top Ryokan in our mind and we would highly recommend it to others.

My boss takes me here on his days off. The snow crab set meal was absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed its refined flavor. The meat was firm and the texture was irresistible. The entire facility is well-maintained, so it's clean and safe to use. I also felt the skin-beautifying effects of the hot spring water, and my skin became smooth. My stiff shoulders and headaches improved, and my sensitivity to cold was also cured. Surrounded by the majestic scenery, my mind and body were refreshed and I felt lighter. I always stop by here when I come to Yamagata with my boss. I'll come again.

I stayed at Kyubei Ryokan during my trip to Tohoku.
The inn was spotlessly clean and had a calming atmosphere, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The staff were polite and warm, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay.
All the meals were delicious, and the local seasonal ingredients were carefully prepared; I could feel the attention to detail in each dish. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying, and I was able to fully enjoy my trip.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well-equipped, making it feel like it was worth more than the price. It's an excellent inn in terms of cost performance.

I went there based on word of mouth, and it was said to be open for day trips, but it wasn't, so I went to the public bath next door. I bought a ticket from an old lady at the store, and the water temperature was just right, so I was glad to remember our conversation about hot sake. This trip was the beginning of my baptism of fire, as all the hot springs I wanted to go to were not open for day trips.

Beautiful ryokan with a selection of public and private onsens. Take some time to admire the beautiful paintings and decorations in the hotel. Vegetarian meal was available upon request and was thoughtfully prepared and very delicious. Superb value for money.

My love for this ryokan in my heart is irreplaceable. Love the service, the Japanese style room, the common bath, private onsen, dinner and breakfast especially. A very comfortable place to spend a night. You will not regret it as I totally did not, and it has become one of the biggest impression of omotenashi and good food using local ingredients from Yamagata.
