MENA Tyche Hotel Amman in Amman

The hotel amenities are almost fine. In January it was cold in Jordan, but the room could only be heated with the AC, which didn't do a decent job and it was noisy. The worst part was that I contacted food poisoning from the breakfast. It simply ruined my vacation. The breakfast selection seemed fine, but obviously something was not fresh: maybe the falafel, the yogurt or the egg. The hotel has free parking and the staff is nice.

Good looking hotel with the worst service, it doesn’t deserve the 4 stars.

During our 7 days stay they faked the closure of the pool So kids under 10 wont go in. Gym and pool are always dirty.

They offered expired coffee mate to all rooms and they wont clean your room everyday even if you requested it!

Safe and clean hotel, and bed was reasonably comfortable. And a good breakfast. So why the poor review? Dinner was terrible - cold lumpy rice, no local food, poor service as we could not get a drink. Gym was closed as they had moved tables into it for some event they were holding - not much better when open as much of the equipment was broken. Hot water pot did not work - had to ask for a new one. Refrigerator in room did not get cold and no temp adjustment - had maintenance take a look and they said all fixed - but still did not get cold. Mentioned to the desk in morning and they claimed the refrigerator in room is not meant to to keep anything cold! We had two towels first night, housekeeping replaced the two towels and bathmat with just one towel. Loud garbage truck at 6am. Note this is in a residential neighborhood, so there is nothing nearby.

Standards very low had no hot water, broken window and dangerously stiff shower door. Shower door actually shattered causing injury. Management not interested in my injury and blamed me. I would never stay there again even the breakfast was not great with a dangerously plugged in toaster.
