A stay for a few days is fine. I would book there again.
The hotel is located 15 minutes walking by the old town, on the local market. Clean and totally worths the low amount i paid.
Affordable hotel, friendly people. Language barriers are normal. There's a cafe nearby with a reasonable breakfast. The surrounding area is interesting: many renovated old merchant houses, a promenade along the Daugava River, a view of St. Peter's Church, and proximity to the city center.
The room was clean and the hotel is located in the middle of the Central Market. That's why it's very noisy. People talk loudly in the hallways in the middle of the night and the walls are thin so you can hear people talking and snoring at night.
When I was checking out, the receptionist was on break even though it was mid-morning and I had to wait a long time.
The only plus is that the room was clean.
