Everything should have been great, but it was just okay.
Food - really good. Choice for different tastes, both at breakfast and dinner.
The basic room is really small, although with very high ceilings. Problematic temperature control, we couldn't raise the temperature by 3 degrees. Very poor sound insulation, we could hear our neighbors talking all night, they didn't shout, they just talked.
The situation is worse with the SPA area. There are clearly too many people on Saturday afternoon, there must be some kind of regulation of the number of people. The water in the pools should be warmer, because 29 degrees was definitely not specified. The massage jets in the pool are not working properly. The steam bath needs repair. In the morning, both saunas were not at the right temperature, one was only 45 degrees.
The overall price-quality ratio is bad, because after paying almost 220€, you only get a room, breakfast and a mediocre SPA.

I was at the hotel for the second time. I really like it. The staff is responsive, attentive and kind. They know how to provide real surprises. Spa area - I especially liked the Himalayan sauna and Vitaytas sauna. The jacuzzi is large. There is no visit limit for the spa area, just great. Breakfast is varied and very tasty. I like drinking mineral water in the lobby the most. So tasty!!!! You can't compare it to bottled water. As a minus, I can mention that the local restaurant does not have traditional Lithuanian dishes.

The rooms and service were good, but the SPA area ruined the overall experience. Between 5 PM and 7 PM on 2025-12-20, it was absolute chaos: empty glasses were left in the salt sauna, children were jumping into the pool making it impossible to swim, and every single lounger was 'reserved' with a towel. There was zero supervision. Even at 9 PM when it was less crowded, 90% of the seats were still taken. Simply put, if you enjoy constant screaming and chaos, you'll love it here.

I stayed at Vytautas SPA Hotel – the stay itself was pleasant, and the massages and SPA treatments were truly excellent. However, the checkout experience was very disappointing. I had prepaid half of the room price in advance, yet the final amount at checkout appeared too high. Only after I pointed it out myself did the receptionist check and discover that I had been charged twice for the same room. In addition, the city tax had also been applied twice, and to get a refund I was asked to fill out a separate form, even though it was clearly their mistake. The issue is the attitude toward responsibility and the guest’s time – such a situation is unacceptable for a hotel that presents itself as a high-standard SPA. I was leaving in a good mood after an enjoyable stay, but after this checkout experience, unfortunately, the overall impression was diminished.

I have visited Vytautas Mineral Spa multiple times, whilst on holidays in Lithuania with my family.
I always enjoyed the stay and an excellent service.
I cannot praise enough Spa reception staff,who were very polite, professional, gave an advice on the procedures and beauty products! They will always do their best to accomodate their clients.
Defo 5 stars and highly recommended!

Our stay was great. Enjoyed the spa space and comfortable rooms. The only feedback for improvement is booking of the spa procedures. Would be helpful to have an online booking system for the procedures.

Visiting Birstonas from USA and family recommended Vytautas SPA. Very happy with our stay. Clean, great atmosphere, relaxing and would love to come back again during summer vacation.

BE AWARE! – unprofessional and embarrassing incident
I had a very strange and disappointing experience at this hotel today. While the facilities themselves are quite good — the spa is excellent, the buffet decent (though not really worth €25), and the service generally fine — everything was overshadowed by one completely unprofessional incident.
I was accused of stealing books from the hotel library after exchanging my family books with some used ones available there. In many hotels worldwide, this is a common and encouraging practice — but apparently not here. There were no signs in the library to indicate otherwise.
To my shock, I was confronted in the car park, accused of theft, and forced to return the books on the spot. The security staff laughed at me while I tried to explain that is is normal and sustainable book exchange worldwide, even asking if I believed I could “do the same in a supermarket.” It was a bizarre, humiliating, and totally unnecessary situation.
It’s a real shame, because the hotel and spa facilities are genuinely enjoyable. But this level of treatment toward a guest is unacceptable and left a very sour impression. Until management addresses such unprofessional behavior, I cannot recommend this place
