Esperanza Resort Hotel in Trakai

We had an exceptional stay at Esperanza Lake Resort and truly enjoyed every moment.
The design is refined and thoughtful, the level of cleanliness is outstanding, and the breakfasts were among the best we have ever had. Every detail reflects a very high standard of care and professionalism.
The staff were wonderful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Victoria at the reception, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay especially pleasant and far beyond expectations. We would also like to thank Victoria and the security team, who went above and beyond to help us during a difficult moment. Their dedication and support meant a great deal to us.
We would be more than happy to return and highly recommend this hotel.

We spent six wonderful days in January at Esperanza Lake Resort, and it was an unforgettable stay that perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and nature.

The service was outstanding — professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel truly welcome from the very first moment.

The food was delicious, carefully prepared, and beautifully presented, with every meal being a real highlight.

The hotel’s Japanese minimalist design creates a calm, elegant atmosphere, while the stunning lakeside surroundings offer peace, breathtaking views, and the perfect setting to fully relax and recharge, especially in winter.

We have just got back from our stay at the newly renovated Esperanza Lake Resort... which was well worth it! We usually have a few nights away in South Tyrol, so we are used to luxury.

Boasts luxury from start to finish, it is definitely designed to appeal to the high-end guest now with Porsche charging stations, and their instagram having Bentley's posing outside.

The resort has two restaurants, with Mizu Beach by Heji opening this week, so it was closed for our stay, but they still had OLEA, the Greek restaurant (mixed with Lithuanian taste) where breakfast and dinner are set. Beautiful setting; topped off with great food choices for both breakfast and dinner, albeit a little pricey. They know that you cannot go to eat anywhere else because of the resorts remote location, so it is a little on the expensive side.

The spa is fantastic, really feel the luxury here and definitely does the job of helping you feel relaxed. They offer a range of treatments for extra money, but hotel guests can use the spa for free, numerous times. The gym is a little small, but as far as hotel gyms go, it definitely isn't the worst. TechnoGym equipment.

The grounds are stunning and even have Alpacas, Roosters and other animals.

Hire a car if you come to the resort from either Vilnius or Kaunas, because 15 minutes away is Trakai Island Castle and also Užutrakis manor, which are worth visiting.

Would stay here again!

I like new hotels, I like destinations off the beaten path, I like resorts more than city hotels, and I probably like lake/mountain resorts more than beach because we already have lots of beach choices in various places of the world so I do not necessarily need more of them. This hotel hits all points. Icing on the cake is that it is borderline luxury for the price of non-luxury. The hotel opened earlier this year, they only have 28 rooms so it feels very private and 13 of them are suites so upgrade potential is good. We received an upgrade to a loft suite as Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite which had excellent hardware and could easily be a Luxury Collection hotel; some features are rarely seen elsewhere such as CO2 sensor. Bathroom toiletries were Le Labo. The entire resort was very well taken care of with active staff blowing leaves and cleaning outdoors even though the hotel was low occupancy in shoulder season. They have a small beach on the lake which could be nice in the summer for people looking for that although I think there would be plenty of other activities, and quite large surrounding forest in their private grounds. The kids club was one of the better ones we have seen, it was quite large considering how few rooms the hotel has and many of their toys were still brand new as they have probably not had many children stay yet. Some travellers tend to avoid Design Hotels because of lack of elite benefits, but here I am not sure it’s a critical factor - everybody has breakfast included. On mornings where occupancy was high enough, they had a small buffet to go along with the a la carte menu. The quality was good and the menu imaginative including Japanese twist to it. On mornings with lower occupancy it was a la carte only but we could order what was normally in the buffet. We loved this new hotel and can highly recommend it. We would probably like it even more if it was summer or winter. It’s a great addition to Bonvoy which ticked a lot of boxes of what we are looking for. I am not a huge hotel expert for Lithuania but based on what I have seen before, I suspect this might be the absolute best hotel in the entire country.

What an amazing find via Marriott Bonvoy. This is my new favorite spa, hands down.

The resort is new (opened in 2025) and you can feel how much thought went into everything—the atmosphere, the design, the audio, the service, the food, the details and especially the spa area.

The location next to the lake is beautiful, with the sun shining off the water. It's the perfect place to rest, be quiet, and just be in nature.

The spa itself is world-class, with touches like D vitamin and collagen lights and many other top devices & services.

They also have a mini zoo, basketball/tennis courts, and free EV charging.

The a la carte breakfast was amazing. Above all, the service was truly excellent, which is so hard to find nowadays.

We had nothing to complain about. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

5 stars. An amazing place to escape from the busy life. Perfect rooms for the family, delicious food, beautiful views over the lake, very friendly and helpful staff, and so much more for the positive feedback! We wish we could stayed there longer.
