Good location with the parking at the hotel. Short walking distance to the beach. Really quiet beach, away from the crowdy city centre. Nice spacious room, with the separate sleeping area for the kids. Very clean. There are few swimming pool facilities including outdoor swimming pool with the bar. Louds of SPA treatments available at the hotel. The food was very tasty and reasonably price at the local hotel restaurant. Breakfast was good also, with plenty of options to choose. Friendly staff at the hotel. Definitely recommend to try.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.

The room I stayed in was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, offering all the modern comforts one could wish for. It felt like a true home away from home, with a cosy bed and a stunning view that made waking up every morning a delight.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The restaurant offered an excellent variety of dishes, all prepared to perfection. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a treat for the taste buds. I especially enjoyed the fresh local ingredients and the elegant presentation.

The spa facilities were absolutely divine. After a busy day, I indulged in a relaxing massage and spent time in the sauna and pool. It was exactly what I needed to unwind and recharge. The wellness area was spotless and very calming, creating a perfect sanctuary for relaxation.

As a tennis enthusiast, I was thrilled to find well-maintained courts available. The opportunity to play tennis in such a beautiful setting was a real bonus. The whole area was peaceful and inviting.

Beyond the rooms and amenities, the resort’s location is fantastic. Nestled close to nature, yet conveniently near Palanga’s attractions, it offers the best of both worlds. I enjoyed peaceful walks through the surrounding greenery and felt completely rejuvenated by the fresh air.

Throughout my stay, the staff’s professionalism stood out. They were knowledgeable and helpful without ever being intrusive. Their genuine care for guests made my visit truly special.

I also appreciated the smooth and hassle-free check-in and check-out process, which added to the overall stress-free experience.

In summary, Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort is an exceptional place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, excellent service, and a touch of luxury in a serene environment. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone travelling there.

On arrival we have been greeted by two lovely ladies at reception, they made us feel very welcomed, their hospitality level is excellent and needs to be awarded. The hotel and the staff surprised by small details. The SPA so spaciuos and clean. The outside swimming pool area was my favorite spot, loved it. We have received an upgrade to our room and it was fabulous, very nicely decorated, huge balcony, all nessecary amenities and most importantly very comfortable bed and pillows. Big cudos to the breakfast team, wow, the breakfast buffet was full of delicious choices. Well done to the chef and management!

After the renovation, the hotel got new doors, but they removed the chain locks from them. I honestly didn't feel safe there. Anyone with a key could just come in even hotel staff. Remove the locks in 2025? Very weird decision.
Ive stayed in many hotels, and I have never seen this anywhere else. It really made me feel uncomfortable during my stay.

We had a nice stay here. Modern and clean rooms, and the reception and spa staff were very friendly.
The breakfast was good with a good selection. Unfortunately, we had a somewhat bad experience when we had dinner in the restaurant. The staff were more interested in chatting with each other than letting us order and serve us food. Despite that, the food and wine were good.

The “vegan” beetroot risotto includes cheese, which we requested to be excluded, as one of the guests were vegan. Upon presenting the food the waitress informed us that the dish was made with butter. The chef should really look through the menu and remove the “vegan” or “vegetarian” markings from dishes like the aforementioned risotto or “vegetarian Caesar salad with chicken or shrimp”.

The hotel is a bit outdated but still nice. The staff is also very kind, especially the bartender. However, the restaurant is disappointing. We purchased the package with romantic dinner which was a big mistake. They offer only cheapest dishes from the menu and in our case we were not even given the possibility to choose since one of the dishes ran out. When we asked if they could offer any alternative (we did not want to eat pork before bed) the (kind) waitress told us that the chef is not in today and we should take that only offer. Two observations: this is a five star hotel and who is in charge of the kitchen when the chef is not present, a dishwasher?

Service staff at the front desk - nice, can not say anything bad. The restaurant staff - the impression that the students collect-service trainees with zero knowledge. From the restaurant's kitchen continuously spreading hubbub. On the tables and chairs - food crumbs. Food quality through poor that both would cost. Ordinary breakfast.
Rooms – small, double bed width of 1.50 m (the same width of the bed is an economy class hotel), luxury is not visible, as well as poverty ... TV shows 10 programs with quality intolerable, like a hint that there is nothing to stare at the TV. Wifi signal is weak or absent altogether. The bathroom sink, water closet and shower (and there 5 stars Hotel) where the bath, where a bidet? Water pressure is weak, and the water is just warm, not hot. Outside, the window of the room, all day humming the kitchen air conditioner. Acting in front of the hotel during the Soviet era paved road furrowed huge pits during the day and night riding the cars. In the living room occasionally felt the kitchen smells. Spa, I would say a total misunderstanding, pomp, decorations and mindless risen the corridor salad. Jacuzzi water is sallow from the mass of people, sun beds covered substance, which after any of visitor are wet. Saunas, a real parody, or downtime for construction or for the economy there are always coolness.
Spa best accommodates no more than 10 people over - the evil and misunderstanding. Hotel managers should think about the amount of visitors restriction, otherwise, as I said, this is not a spa, it is the public bath with claims. RESUME - comfort hotel, spa and restaurant value for money - does not meet the reality. Prices inflated and totally unreasonable. Travelers who believe in there to find 5 star hotel, not have illusions. This is a economy class hotel. Not recommend.
