Shakespeare Boutique Hotel in Vilnius

We arrived late in the evening, and we were immediately greeted by a kind staff person at the reception. We quickly filled out the guest form and headed to our room. The room was nice and cozy, with a great view of the city, specifically the hill of the Three Crosses. We were expecting to find a bath in our room, as seen in the pictures on the hotel website, but we only found a shower. Perhaps the website is a little confusing and not completely transparent. Either way, the bathroom was very nice.
After about half an hour of being in the room, the room next door started to fill up with people, champagne bottles were opened and it
became unbearable to be there and relax. It was a Saturday night, so their activity is understandable, however, from a 4 star hotel, I would expect more sound proof walls, and not ones where you can hear your neighbour speak or take a step on the floor. This probably happens due to the building's old age.
Immediately, we went to the reception to ask for a different room. Without any convincing or resistance, we were given a new room to stay in for the night. Even though this room was a single instead of the double we originally booked, it was a great alternative, as long as we didnt have to suffer from any noise.
The second room also had a great view of the city, specifically the Church of Saint Ona. We were able to enjoy our night fully.
Next morning, a nice, english inspired breakfast.

I would reccomend this hotel, for its great location, staff and atmosphere. But from our experience, do not come here if you are sensible to noise.
