Great stay at DoubleTree by Hilton!

I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived,

The room was spacious, quiet, and well equipped, perfect for resting after a long day. Even though the hotel is slightly outside the city centre, it’s very easy to get around—Bus N4 stops nearby and takes you straight to the city centre, making transportation simple and convenient.

Overall, a great hotel with excellent service, good transport connections, and a peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

I had a very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree Hotel. The warmth and kindness of the staff truly made a difference and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the rooms were quiet, which allowed me to rest comfortably.

I would also like to highlight the breakfast buffet: it was varied, well organized, and the food quality was excellent. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

The room was clean, but we had a very poor experience with the heating. After realizing the main heater didn't work, we were given a small electric fan that didn't help. We ended up having to switch rooms in the middle of the night, which was incredibly disruptive. We stayed here to rest (1 night) during a long road trip, but we left more tired than when we arrived. Disappointing!

I stayed at the DoubleTree Luxembourg with my 80-year-old father, who is unwell and was extremely tired after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to the elevator motors, and the noise kept both of us awake almost the entire night. My father finally managed to fall asleep around 7:00–7:30 AM after hours of discomfort.
However, at 8:00 AM, there was a knock on our door. I opened it half-asleep, and the staff member simply said “It’s ok” and walked away. I later saw the same person again in uniform, so clearly they were a member of the hotel team. I still cannot understand why they knocked at that time, and what exactly was “ok,” especially when it was obvious the room had severe noise issues and guests could still be resting.
I shared all of this with the reception team and politely asked to speak with the manager. Instead of a brief conversation or even a quick acknowledgment, I was handed a handwritten note with the manager’s email. After travelling with an elderly parent who was in pain and exhausted, I was genuinely hoping for a bit of understanding or empathy. Even a short apology would have meant a lot at that moment.
I should mention that breakfast was also quite basic and didn’t match the DoubleTree standard I’m familiar with, so overall the stay was unfortunately far below what I usually experience with Hilton properties.
I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of complaining, but because the situation placed my father—who is already unwell—under a lot of unnecessary stress. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, this experience was difficult for me, and I sincerely hope management can review what happened and decide on an appropriate way to make this right.

Room: is spacious, comfortable bed.
Staff is friendly and helpful, my room was booked with water provided but when I asked one of the staff at the reception, he indeed gave a a free bottle. Very kind of him
Location: although a bit away from the city center, the hotel is quiet and in a green area. Access to free public transport or nearby buses makes getting to downtown manageable.

Being our first visit to Luxemburg, we took the Bus 850 from Quai (Platform/Stop)4 outside the airport. 6 stops to Dommeldange, past Parc Hotel Alvisse. We turned left onto an uphill wooded path, lushed tall trees that led us to the hotel's back parking. It was tiring, in a good way. The male receptionist was surprised as he asked us if we needed parking. All of them were friendly and gave us the hotel info sheet which includes the bus schedule. I requested a high floor with a view and was given a corner Room 1802. With the peaceful forest view, see photo Big room and TV, but no English speaking channel. The bedside table lamp has one USB charging port. Buffet breakfast was included which we enjoyed. Pool has constant depth and it felt safe. It was nowhere crowded. We tried the bar one evening, with beer and fruit juice about 20 euro. It was a perfect relaxing place day after day of gallivanting. You can take Bus 4 and 32, bus stop 'Parc de l'Europe just a few mins walk from the hotel, to city centre (Hamilius), and train to airport. Apart from the shower being cold, not hot enough and the broken bath tub drain, our stay was fabulous!

We had a great time in Luxembourg and the hotel. It's around 3.5km from the center, and the bus stop is just outside the hotel directly into the center. The breakfast was with a variety of choices, it was quite busy. The staff were very helpful.

Such a beautiful neighborhood with easy bus access to the city center, and parking is available too. The room was spotless and had a lovely view. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Luxembourg for 2 nights with my teenage daughter, and we had an amazing time. The hotel is comfortable and well-located, but the highlights for us were definitely the swimming pool and the breakfast. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Breakfast had a great variety and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We’d happily return!
