The stairs can kill you.

The staffs are amazing,welcoming and always friendly at any given time of the day.

The food and breakfast was not extra, maybe it was our organisers planning that should be addressed.

The Internet connexion was disastrous however.

The location is perfect because everything is at walking distance.

I recommend "Le Buffet du Jardin" and "Rossino" for a good Italian spot down the road.

My Go-To Stay in Antananarivo!

Tana Hotel in Antananarivo truly feels like a second home. I absolutely love this place and always choose to stay here whenever I’m in the city. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the location is perfect—right in the heart of the city but still peaceful and secure.

The staff are incredibly warm and professional—they always remember me and go out of their way to make me feel welcome. The service is consistent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. Whether for business or leisure, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Highly recommended!

Despite the absence of a lift, which meant having to use the staircase to access the rooms, I still rate Tana Hotel a solid 5 out of 5. The spacious rooms, complete with great views, excellent lighting, and a comfortable ambiance, made my 3-night stay truly enjoyable.

The staff deserve a special mention: always smiling, attentive, and available around the clock, they created a warm and welcoming environment throughout my stay. Both breakfast and dinner were consistently delicious, well-prepared, and satisfying.

Although the hotel building is a bit older, and the hot/cold water system in the shower requires some patience, the charm and overall atmosphere more than made up for it.

The location is also a major plus, centrally positioned with easy access and nearby convenience stores.

In short, Tana Hotel offers great hospitality, comfort, and value in the heart of Antananarivo. Highly recommended!

I love this place. Welcoming guys at the door, very helpful carrying your baggage. Nice staff at the reception desk. Very clean room. I had to change my room, and the room maids were so helpful. I strongly recommend this place. With restaurants all around, supermarkets next door, the flee market is 50 meters away and ATM all around. There is no better place to stay.

2 days before check in ( I stayed in the Colbert , very recommended and a lot cheaper ) I checked if the room would be ready upon ma arrival day .
Arriving in the room : empty minibar , no bottle of water in the room , no water heater to prepare tea ( was promised , like a welcome drink ).
No breakfast include .
The above is not a problem at all , but paying 105 Euro ( Hotel Colbert was 67 incl. a super breakfast and all spa facilities ).
I would not recommend this hotel without any facility apart from a modern , clean room and good bed .

Located few kilometres away from the Presidential palace. Tana hotel is a beautiful place to stay. If you are spending the night in Antananarivo, I'll recommend this. The meals are also wonderful.

It is good to add that it is also very secured due to its proximity to the Centre of Administration.

The receptionists and attendants also speak English in case your french is not so good.

The staff members are always very kind and helpful. Very clean and cozy room. The place is perfect for business meetings and is very well situated. I always stay here during my trip to Madagascar and I would highly recommend it to other people travelling for business.

The room condition is acceptable. location is perfect as its in the city center having easy access to all govt. offices and banks. the staff was also courteous.. There is no in house restaurant but they arrange on requests.

The concept is awesome but the cooks lack training. Crepes are undercooked, and there are way too many toppings on it. I wonder how this fastfood chain can make any decent money that way

Visited twice, the first time was great - delicious pizza and friendly staff. Unfortunately on the second visit we had quite rude service and they forgot the cheese on my pizza!!
Try to visit outside of busy periods.

I came here several times, all the food was great. I had Saka burger, Margherita pizza, mixed kebab and American sandwich. I recommend them all, especially the kebab and burger.
